Biden in Leaked Audio Says GOP Misused ‘Defund the Police’ to Defeat Democrats in November

“That’s how they beat the living hell out of us across the country, saying that we’re talking about defunding the police. We’re not. We’re talking about holding them accountable.”

In leaked audio, Joe Biden shared police concerns with civil rights leaders but showed caution when it came to overhauling law enforcement.

Biden griped that the GOP’s misusage of the slogan “defund the police” allowed them to beat Democrats across the country. Now the Democrats have one of the smallest majorities in history.

Biden only pushed the civil rights leaders to tread lightly when it comes to “defund the police” because it might hurt the Democrat Party’s chance of winning the Senate runoffs in Georgia:

“I also don’t think we should get too far ahead ourselves on dealing with police reform in that, because they’ve already labeled us as being ‘defund the police’ anything we put forward in terms of the organizational structure to change policing — which I promise you, will occur. Promise you,” Biden said.

“That’s how they beat the living hell out of us across the country, saying that we’re talking about defunding the police. We’re not. We’re talking about holding them accountable. We’re talking about giving them money to do the right things. We’re talking about putting more psychologists and psychiatrists on the telephones when the 911 calls through. We’re talking about spending money to enable them to do their jobs better, not with more force, with less force and more understanding.”

The slogan “defund the police” has been blamed for House and Senate losses by Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., along with other moderate House Democrats. Former President Barack Obama joined in, calling it a snappy slogan that cost votes.

“I just raise it with you to think about how much do we push between now and January 5 — we need those two seats — about police reform. But I guarantee you, there will be a full-blown commission. I guarantee you it’s a major, major, major element,” Biden said.

So Biden said they’re not the “defund the police” party, but wants to have a “full-blown commission” and considers it “a major, major, major element” to his administration.

But of course, Biden is against defunding the police! His vice president is a cop!

Biden explained to the civil rights leaders that there is not much he can do when it comes to executive orders. He even took a shot against the far-left (emphasis mine):

Not within the constitutional authority. I am not going to violate the Constitution. Executive authority that my progressive friends talk about is way beyond the bounds. And as one of you said, maybe it was you, Reverend Al [Sharpton], whether it’s far left or far right, there is a Constitution. It’s our only hope. Our only hope and the way to deal with it is, where I have executive authority, I will use it to undo every single damn thing this guy has done by executive authority, but I’m not going to exercise executive authority where it’s a question, where I can come along and say, ‘I can do away with assault weapons.’

There are plenty on the left that wants him to use his executive authority to defund the police or ban so-called assault weapons.

Misuse of the truth? Only a Democrat could spout such Pablum.

So! The Democrats really did kiss? Then, go home, Mr. Biden.

no, fauxjoe–as usual, you have it backwards–what public safety requires is holding THE CRIMINALS accountable, such as yourself, for instance

Tell that to the police in Minneapolis, Seattle, NYC, and elsewhere.

Biden could be referring to the downstream elections for state and House seats … but he probably isn’t.

It’s nice of Communist Chinese Agent Joe to
    CONCEDE isn’t it!

    Only thing nice about him.

If you don’t mean “Defund the Police” then don’t say “Defund the Police”. Or you don’t get to complain about being misunderstood.

Simple as that

Problem with Sundowner is his mouth and brain are not connected, never have been. Won’t be long until it will get him gone if his kickbacks from Hunter cleaning up his Chinese trips.

Sorry, i hit the down vote by mistake.

Biden has always been an idiot. Now, he’s a senile idiot.

Liar. We used it exactly correctly.

“”Now the Democrats have one of the smallest majorities in history.””

No problem. Now that the courts have declared fraud legal, they can fix that in 2022.

“But of course, Biden is against defunding the police! His vice president is a cop!”.

I hope that was a joke. She is not a cop. She is an attorney who was a state attorney general. No matter how much those people like the moniker of “top cop”, it ain’t so. Cops are on the street chasing crooks, cleaning up after traffic crashes, finding lost kids… even protecting the sainted fire fighters while they squirt water..and at all hours of the day and night and in all kinds of weather.

Right on. There are 3 types of people that cops hate:
    1. Lawyers
    2. Politicians
    3. (some) Police Administrators

Harris is not a cop, but she is both a lawyer and a politician. Calling her a “top cop” would infuriate most real cops.

Many people think that cops hate criminals. In general, cops don’t hate criminals (except for criminals who target cops), but they just try to deal with criminals appropriately.

I believe it was Shakespeare who said “First, let’s kill all the lawyers”. Jesus said “You lawyers use law to pervery justice”. So for two thousand years, people have hated lawyers.

Doublespeak is now the norm. Orwell was an optimist and a fortune teller extraordinaire. When I got on the Aeroflot jet out of Moscow in 1972 I thought I was putting communism behind me. Missed that one for sure. Biden theme song…”Back in the USSR”.

Fuck you, you retarded old grifting liar. You and your Marxist minions were quoted with exactly what they said. Nobody wants your fucked up policies, despite how much you cheated. Now shut the fuck up.

The computers can now be fixed so that a Republican, excepting RINOs allowed to breathe, will never be elected again.

biden is a serial liar and he’s still lying. All he ever does is lie.

A $15 million police budget cut also hit the nation’s capital, Washington D.C., in July

I would only hope that all of the police departments that have had funding cuts would use those cuts to assert that the first cuts taking place would be security for the mayor and any council members voting for the cuts. The second place would be in the neighborhoods of those same people. After that, reassign one police officer who was sympathetic to the “movement” to cover those members and their neighborhoods. If an officer kneeled in support of police funding cuts, those officers, justifiably, would be the first ones cut.

Nice; he admitted he lost.

Now he should GET LOST.

He’s a liar, a cheater, and a loser.
Always will be.

Sadly, Joe reveals the truth far too many times. The media generally uses the “comment was taken out of context” excuse for any Democrat while excoriating President Trump for the comments that they not only take out of context but conveniently edit in order to express outrage and dupe their low-information followers.
How do you justify his public admission that 1) he told the Ukranian leaders that he would personally withhold the money designated by Congress unless they immediately stopped the investigation into his family’s corruption there (and he succeeded in doing so) and 2) he told the American people that the Democrats had the most extensive and exclusive voter fraud organization in history (which has proven to be the case in this election). We won’t even go into his suggestion that the Logan Act be used against General Flynn in order to keep him out of the Trump administration (Flynn knew where many of the Obama/Biden bones were buried).

Meanwhile democrats across the country are … Defunding the police

Oh one more thing they are also trying to convince us defund doesn’t mean defund
