#Obamagate is simply Obama being Obama

“Rare” Open Thread

There was a time in the long ago past that we did Open Threads. Basically opening the floor to whatever you wanted to talk about in the comment section.

I have a lot of topics on my plate, but every now and then you need to stop and pause.

Tonight is one of those nights. And anyway, you probably are Sick and Tired of Blogger Burnout Stories:

Okay, blogging is tough.  We get it.  Great Grandma and Grandpa had it easy, with rotary phones and all (“You mean your Great Grandparents had a phone?”).

If I hear another blogger complain about blogger burnout, I’m going to scream….

Let me guess, you worked the fields all day, so you don’t have the strength to push down on the keyboard with your bloodied, swollen fingers?

What’s next, a co-blogger to ease the burden of cutting and pasting cut-and-pasted blog posts from other similarly exhausted bloggers?

Haven’t you figured it out, there is only one original blog post which, like the source yeast at the Guinness brewery, has been kept alive for generations so that others may cut from and paste to it.

It’s not rocket science.

I’ll leave you with this passage from the very first Legal Insurrection post, on October 12, 2008, Obama is “Door No. 2”:

Obama may be a post-racial healer, or he may be someone who carefully uses race and false accusations of racism to advance his political career. Obama may not have known about Jeremiah Wright’s political race-baiting, or he may have known but not cared. Obama may be someone who views this country as inherently good, or he may secretly share the views of his political enabler, William Ayers, that this country is inherently bad. We may know Obama better than Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers know Obama, or we may not know Obama at all.

Seems relevant now that #Obamagate is in the news.

#Obamagate is simply Obama being Obama.

How many Deep Staters are Republican? Could they be among those trying to prevent the truth behind Obamagate from seeing the light of day?

CaptMorgan in reply to Rab. | May 15, 2020 at 9:44 pm

All you need to do is read the book entitled, The Brothers. It was written about the Dulles Brothers in an era when people were happy to believe that we don’t need to know what the CIA is doing and just trust that they are working on our behalf.
It is a full manifesto admitting that presidents come and go and we need a consistent shadow government to keep continuity in the government.

Katy L. Stamper in reply to Rab. | May 16, 2020 at 2:27 am

GOPe/Deep Staters, the same, no difference.

Have to agree with Ace of Spades’ post this evening:

Speaking of people married to the China Lobby, turns out that Mitch McConnell isn’t interested in fighting the coup efforts.

Could that be because he’s a GOPer who wants to protect the China Lobby from the Bad Orange China-Opposing Man? You be the judge.

Things don’t “just happen.” People capable of shaping events either make them happen or let them happen.

There is a reason the Republican-controlled Senate almost entirely stood aside and let the Democrats rape Trump for three and a half years.

That reason is: They’re on the Democrats’ side in most matters involving wealthy interests.

And Mitch McConnell is the leader of the Trick the Rubes wing.

When Mitch McConnell wants something to happen — like judges getting appointed — he makes it happen.

When Mitch McConnell doesn’t want something to happen — like investigating Obama’s Deep State minions or Obama himself, or fighting the Democrats on their three long Russia probe — Mitch McConnell gives a speech or two to Trick the Rubes and then gives the signal to take Trump out behind the scenes.

These people are very good at offering The Rubes some soundbites and then acting ruthlessly against the Rubes when it comes to voting, or legislation, or investigation.

The judges are the one sop to The Rubes he’s willing to make to keep feathering his nest.

Mollie Hemingway notes that Richard Burr was plainly a Deep State plant in the Senate Intelligence Committee, but McConnell didn’t do anything about it.

That’s for a simple reason: Mitch McConnell wanted a Deep State Plant on the Intelligence Committee.

He has silently approved of almost everything the Democrats have done.

So… who would be the Republican making sure nothing much happens in the Senate since 2016?

Which high-ranking Republican Senator would that be?

Everyone remembers what Mitch McConnell has consistently done when insurgent candidates challenged his handpicked corporate-funded GOPe drones, right?

I hope we haven’t all forgotten that.

And I hope no one is under the delusion that Mitch McConnell is more favorably inclined towards the insurgent, anti-Establishment, anti-China-Lobby, anti-endless-corporate-favorbanking Trump?

If he worked ruthlessly to eliminate all other anti-GOPe candidates, why would he permit Trump to go about his business?

Mitch McConnell and his own cronies are silent partners with Chuck Schumer in the plot to get Trump.

So no, Mitch McConnell will not be exposing what his partners did during this hoax investigation.

In my current position as a yacht Captain I believe that I could successfully prosecute half of the obama admin for high crimes. Mike Flynn was determined to audit the CIA, very similarly to John Kennedy’s intentions. I think General Flynn is lucky that he never saw the inside of a cell.
In addition, the DOJ is getting their backsides handed to them by the Russian companies that they said were in collusion. The Mueller team never thought those companies would ever push back. Instead, the doj is getting embarrassed.
God bless the US and let’s hope we can withstand this onslaught by the globaliststs!

One of the local dollar retail stores hired a pair of social distancing compliance officers.

They work as a team.

Kinda like a mini special forces team air-dropped behind ‘Charlie’ in the Mekong Delta. Velcro fasteners, squishy stress balls and Skoal chew in the pouch. F’n pro’s.

Their cover works like this:

One stands in front of the 99¢ store Roman tribune-like reading Lawspeaker Newsome’s latest dictate. The plebs grumble and shuffle their feet. The tribune responds; bares her teeth at them. They stfu.

The other stands inside the foyer.. clipboard at the ready – surveying the throng of unruly plebs. Eyes ever vigilant (with ten minute break every two hours.)

I just hit the wall. Burnout.

And really, not so suddenly. There are probably actors and multiple bad guys who have never shown their hand in getting the worst person ever to be elected president.

the dulles bros were without a doubt the fiercest proponents of the ” domino theory “–true servants of the ” military-industrial complex “–thank god for ridgeway, a true warrior–he advised ike to stay out of southeast asia, especially after the french debacle at dien bin phu and ike listened–kennedy finally bowed to the pressure and agreed to send ” advisors ” to nam–and we entered a conflict that would divide this country, especially my generation, and drag on for nearly a decade–lord, what a waste

if you can bear it, there is a work by frances fitzgerald titled ” fire in the lake ” that tells the true story of the quagmire that was nam–it is, in a word, brilliant–she won a pulitzer for it back when a pulitzer was worth earning–it is both enlightening and shattering

First casualty I knew of in Vietnam was an adviser. It was called Indochina then. The brother of a high school classmate.

Michael Johnson in reply to texansamurai. | May 16, 2020 at 12:05 am

Viet Nam was a quagmire? You do know our military defeated the VC and the NVA? You do know they surrendered and signed a peace treaty?

The war did not divide our nation. Communist sympathizers disguised as peace advocates divided our nation with much help from the media. Did you think this shit started in 2016?

Let’s add – we never lost a major battle.

I was 16 in 1969 and new then that all we had to do was take the war to the enemy and it would end quickly. Eventually we did and it did.

Then the commies democrats refused to send a handful of dollars to the south to help them maintain their defense, the north broke the treaty, and the other half of Vietnam became slaves.

Michael Johnson in reply to Barry. | May 16, 2020 at 1:49 am

The Democrats violated our agreement to resupply their military if the NVA attacked again. They wouldn’t even allow us to send them medical supplies.

North Viet Nam could be resupplied by their allies, but people like Frank Church forced us to abrogate our treaty obligations to South Viet Nam.

DaveGinOly in reply to Michael Johnson. | May 16, 2020 at 1:11 am

The VC were defeated in the Tet Offensive. North Vietnam didn’t want to share power with the VC after the war, so they set them up as cannon fodder during Tet. The US and ARVN obliged by massacring them, much to the delight of the North. Great plan, worked like a charm.

texansamurai | May 16, 2020 at 12:04 am

lost several good friends there–especially during tet–then later, more good friends in central america–can leave you wondering why they are all gone and you were spared

a lifetime ago yet parts of it haunt me still

As bad (worst in my lifetime) as obama was, maybe he saved us from hillary in 2008. The clinton grift machine would have went into high gear. Selling the Lincoln Bedroom, missile technology to the chicoms and uranium to the russians would have been child’s play compared to the tear the clinton machine would have gone on. It’s an alternative history I don’t want to think about. I wouldn’t be surprised if hrc hates obama for robbing her of her “destiny” to be the first female POTUS, but is of course unable to let it show. Anyway, I think we’re going to see the obama administration and legacy dismantled and buried along with much of the swamp.

DaveGinOly in reply to CKYoung. | May 16, 2020 at 1:14 am

I found the 2008 race particularly entertaining. I imagined many on the left found themselves torn between supporting Obama, and worrying the may be misogynists, or supporting Hillary, and worrying they may be racists.

Another Voice | May 16, 2020 at 1:57 am

The hope of PDJT’s supporters in 2016 was his promise to empty the swamp. That swamp now has a name and face,”Obamagate”. It will be his same supporters who will be coming back to re-elect him. He has only pulled the drain plug and it’ll take another 4 years to keep the pump gassed up and running to remove the sludge. To secure and assure it stays drained, the definite need to fill all the vacancies of all the judicial federal courts….and very likely Ginsburg’s chair at SCOTUS. Now that would be a lasting legacy for the history books.

We also need to ready a strong candidate for 2024.
Someone to continue the fight. It’ll take more than 4 more years to get this country back on track, and we know the left is relentless in plotting its demise.

Katy L. Stamper in reply to lc. | May 16, 2020 at 2:31 am

It’ll take 40 years to rid ourselves of the left. They’ve taught our kids.

Another Voice in reply to lc. | May 16, 2020 at 12:53 pm

Why I believe securing the courts with Judges who read the Constitution as it was originally established is the key to moving forward. Wherein the Executive administrates under the same guidelines of this document, it is the Judges of Constitutional Law who will consistently and with continuity by means of appointed terms be the moderators to overrule progressive overreach. The best steps forward to secure a lasting Republic future is to have a solid foundation ( the Constitution) and good roof ( the Judges). Who lives in that house is less binding and is a temporary resident.

Taking back our schools is job #1. Courts will mean nothing if there is rebellion by election of corrupt, treasonous lunatics like pelosi, cortez, omar, tlaib, obama and the like.

Continued election of GOPe swamp rats is another problem altogether.

“Ms.” versus “Miss” or Mrs.” OT, right?!

“Ms.” interferes with the dance between normal men and women.

Since men are by the nature of human biology the pursuers, “Miss” and “Mrs.” inform a man whether a female is available to be pursued.

By ditching them for “Ms.” a man no longer knows whether a woman is available and therefore worth chasing. Very disvantageous for courting – which the left wishes to demolish anyway.

We are, the right is, constantly led around by the left on a leash on language. They want the country to use profanity liberally, and the right more and more so indulges. They want us to quit using words (“sex” became RBG’s “gender), and the right follows right along.

I recommend we quit using their words. The old words were plenty good.

Not sure I agree with your McConnell post, above, but you’re correct here, destruction of the language is exceedingly dangerous and proceeding virtually unhindered everywhere, high, low, and in between; from justices on the Supreme Court who wrestle with weighty matters such as what to do when they decide a tax is not a tax, to a college’s incoming first year students (once, freshmen) forced to choose and announce on name tags their choice of pronoun, and omitting the gender on birth certificates – and contemporaneously listing the cause of death as corona virus. It’s a bad business.

I say the Mexican President can take obummer and holder (of the obummer department of INjustice) to the world court as being international terrorist over a Fast and Furious. They can both then appreciate globalism from the bottom of outhouse where their “legacy” is located!

I have seen a bunch of open threads elsewhere. The ones I frequent celebrate Saturday as Caturday, and people leave pics of cats having coffee, and doing all kinds of clever things.

Somehow my heart just isn’t in it. Last night I said goodbye to some friends, older people, and I kept thinking that they don’t have many more Springs left. This one has been stolen, and I just feel awful for them. So far we have not had a numerator among our small social group, but my husband’s family lost a member.

I would just like to thank the good Professor and all of the other writers here,,, really,,, what you are doing is important. Very important. Stay safe.

Communist China has already promised their 2020 election interference

Now this…..

Republican-led efforts to hold China accountable for the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus are being watched closely by the communist regime.

State-run media reported Thursday that Republican lawmakers will “face severe consequences” for speaking out against China, pursuing lawsuits, and pushing “anti-China” legislation.

EU Funded Comic Book Predicted Pandemic, With Globalists As Saviours

Eerie 2012 document painted eurocrats as saving the planet from a killer virus and draconian lockdowns.

https://summit.news/2020/05/15/bizarre-eu-funded-comic-book-predicted-pandemic-with-globalists-as-saviours/

Flynn was in Dominican Republic for the Dec-29 phone call.
Call may have been intercepted by CIA, which is not subject to FISA masking rules. The kicker is that CIA intercepts are, last I knew, not admissible in US courts. This may explain why the 302 has been so elusive.
The unmaskings may have been a decoy operation to make it look like the phone intercept was from the FBI.

    txvet2 in reply to Neo. | May 16, 2020 at 8:03 pm

I believe they were from NSA. CIA isn’t supposed to be in the COMINT business.

I didn’t read your post before commenting below or I would have attached it as a reply. I’m with Andy McCarthy’s interpretation of the pertinent facts in the 12/29 call in his latest column. It’s the only explanation that makes sense. Either CIA or a third party spook state actor intercepted the call in the Dominican Republic. FISA didn’t apply as all parties were out of the U.S.

Justin Amash has dropped his presidential candidacy. Apparently nobody knew he was running.

Help me out here on this Flynn unmasking. These “intercepted” calls by an American citizen needed to be unmasked to further understand “the context.”

Question: Does anyone believe that the phone call from Flynn to Ambassador Kislyak did not start with “good morning Mr. Ambassador. Michael Flynn here with the presidential transition team.” Come on, it’s not like the transcript or recording sounded like a couple of Navajo Code Talkers.

A select reading from Wayne Allyn Root’s column in today’s Townhall as to Obamagate:

. . .

“Obama was the capo di tutti of the Obama crime family. He gave the orders. He gave the approval. He was in the room as each crime was hatched.

“How did I know before anyone else? Why did I believe Obama was capable of committing such high crimes and treason? Because of my personal history with Obama.

“I was Obama’s classmate at Columbia University, class of 1983. We were both pre-law and political science majors. I was also on the Libertarian presidential ticket in 2008 — the first time in U.S. history that college classmates ran on opposing presidential tickets. What are the odds?

“During the campaign, I was asked in hundreds of media interviews: ‘Were you two friends at Columbia University? What was Obama like?’ I always answered honestly: ‘I never met him, never saw him, never heard of him. And I don’t know a single classmate who ever met him either.’ I repeated this story hundreds of times.” …

So, that’s Obama, yesterday and today: the phantom phenom.

Alas, so many Americans still buy in, enabling and overlooking him as the capo of the most perverse and pernicious, frightful and nightmarish Dullesian web yet.

AG Barr & USA Durham: It’s you (and your teams), or no one; and viable indictments are needed really soon, or never.
