Stacey Abrams Criticizes GA Gov. Brian Kemp’s Plan to Reopen State as ‘Dangerously Incompetent’

“Weakened healthcare w/closed rural hospitals, no Medicaid expansion & a doctor shortage. Reopen? Dangerously incompetent.”

We recently pointed out that Stacey Abrams is now campaigning to be Joe Biden’s running mate. Naturally, she has to have an opinion on when Georgia’s economy should be reopened, and of course, it’s negative.

At least she is finally acknowledging she is not the governor of Georgia.

Louis Casiano reports at FOX News:

Stacey Abrams calls Georgia’s plan to reopen some businesses amid coronavirus ‘dangerously incompetent’

Stacey Abrams on Monday criticized Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s plan to reopen the state’s economy as the coronavirus pandemic continues, calling it “dangerously incompetent.”

Abrams, a Democrat and former state lawmaker who lost to Kemp in a closely-watched 2018 gubernatorial contest that raised allegations of voter suppression, tweeted her displeasure shortly after Kemp announced the rollback of social-distancing measures in an effort to revive an economy hit hard by business closures and layoffs.

“Georgia: 14th highest infection/7th lowest testing rate; less econ resilient & 1000s of low-wage workers already forced to risk their lives to make a living,” Abrams posted. “Weakened healthcare w/closed rural hospitals, no Medicaid expansion & a doctor shortage. Reopen? Dangerously incompetent.”

Kemp and Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, both Republicans, announced Monday that they will allow certain businesses to reopen in an effort to boost a fractured economy. Businesses in Georgia, including gyms and hair salons, can resume operations Friday, while restaurants will be allowed to resume dine-in service on April 27.

Here are Governor Kemp’s tweets:

And, via Twitchy, here is a blue check verified Twitter user pushing the Abrams narrative:

The left keeps showing that they are unable to let go of their political agenda, even in a pandemic.

“When I read that she was using “dangerously incompetent” it immediately caught my attention. How poetic, because she most certainly should be in front of a mirror to utter those words.

She’s an idiot or a liar or most likely, both. Cases in Georgia in obvious decline. Scroll down for graph at this link. If this was a stock market chart, it would be called a Bear market.

Many whole counties have less than 10 cases, and zero deaths. Obvious blue city areas are hot spots, but why shut down a whole state for that?

The mistake we make is letting pols call what they do “serving”

This is a political response to a practical matter. I’m sure other Dems are doing the same all over the country. Then, when one…single…person dies after the q-tine is lifted, said Dems will howl that it is PDT’s/the Republicans fault.

I invite all of you to check for yourself to see who is correct.

Pay attention to the interactive charts.

Yes I do live and vote in Georgia.

well, we know that the # of tests vs actual number of infections is off by a large margin.

and we know the death totals are over inflated, thanks to the CDC.

ergo, the infection rates and morbidity rates are both inaccurate.

is there anything else you think i should get from those charts?

      Edward in reply to redc1c4. | April 21, 2020 at 11:10 pm

Well the bar chart of daily reported new infections shows a marked decline after a precipitous rise (likely attributable to availability of testing).

I just read that Oregon plans to add “presumed covid” to the death toll so our numbers can be more competitive with Washington. What if they threw a pandemic and nobody died?

    My body, my choice.

Tank would know all about being dangerously incompetent.

and, as fat as she is, she’s at a higher risk from the ChiCom Crud, so she needs to stay her a55 at home anyway.

LibraryGryffon | April 21, 2020 at 3:53 pm

Question: why are there all those closed rural hospitals? Are they closed because they can’t afford to stay open with no patients thanks to no WuFlu and all other work cancelled by government order, or closed because of the financial damage caused by the restructuring of the health care delivery system thanks to Zerocare?

2smartforlibs | April 21, 2020 at 4:12 pm

Ifs fat all that in that head?? Even someone as LOW IQ and racist as she is has to know taxes only get paid when there is economic activity. IE empty vessel we don’t work you don’t get paid.

“is there anything else you think i should get from those charts?” The important thing to my mind is the drastic decline in the number of *cases* since April 6. This shows nationally and in three state charts I have checked– MO, AZ and GA.

IMO, that alone argues against continuing the lockdowns

Dear Stacey,
noone gives a rat’s patoot what losers think
sincerely,
everyone

“we don’t work you don’t get paid.” You’re right, but that’s down the road. Right now, they are getting paid and that’s why this farce is continuing. When the govt shut down for days there was constant media and em p**sing and moaning about how the poor govt workers didn’t know where there turkey dinner was going to come from. Now govt workers are being paid and we need to stay shut down til there’s a vaccine, til there’s testing, til the cows come home.

People are saying enough. Laughed my head off over this article about the responses being left one Snitch lines. Ganze Americanische, as they say in German. Entirely American. Murrican.

Thanks. That’s just too funny. Wait till the kook mayor has to work out in the gym w8th real people again!

This fat tub of lard is dangerously incompetent and should never, ever be in any kind of position of power.

The woman is delusional.

Why are you guys listening to that imposter? Stacy is the Governor (sarc).

As dumb as michelle obama.

What is it that this massive hog does for a living? It is not cheap to maintain that much weight and takes a bit bite out of the daily schedule just to consume enough food to avoid losing a pound or twenty.

She is just nasty.

Friday I am getting a haircut… Monday we are dining out..

Stacey who??

Kemp,, well, he might not come across as a great orator, but, compared to some Governors,he is a champ.

I live in a GA county, where up until last week we had single digit cases… Now we are up to 15.

BTW he is the first Governor I recall saying that local municipalities cannot be more restrictive than the state. Good for him!!!

That fat lady skeeves me… totally…

healthguyfsu in reply to amwick. | April 21, 2020 at 7:42 pm

Why would it be so great that localities can’t be more restrictive than the state?

Local power over state power would be decentralization of power much like state power over federal power.

McGehee in reply to healthguyfsu. | April 21, 2020 at 9:07 pm

Apples and oranges. State vs. federal is a constitutional issue. By definition, states are considered to exist regardless of the federal government.

Within states, on the other hand, all subordinate governments are exactly that. Without the state, there are no counties or cities.

Some states may choose, within their own constitutional frameworks, to grant local government more prerogatives rather than less, but that’s entirely up to the states.

take a deeeep breath stacy
catching covid 19 is not a death sentence. in fact… the survival rate is 99.9%
does that mean we should not take precautions, wear masks and gloves, and do our best to protect those who are most valnerable???
of course not.
does it mean we should continue destroying our economy as the vaunted computer models prove wrong time after time?? again of course not.
what is becomming appearent is that the American people are catching on to the lefts scam and your hoax is no longer working, just like your “i was cheated” schtick.

She was so psyched by the TP shortages, but now she’s angry we’re not going full Venezuela.

Colorado has plans to reopen, no push back there

as a georgia resident i thank God daily that this person isn’t the “real” governor!!

The daughter of Idi Amin and Hillary Clinton needs to shut up.
“Incompetent” is being a publicly-elected official who can’t pay her tax bill in a timely fashion and ends up owing tens of thousands of dollars in unpaid taxes, for years.

It’s also interesting to see how certain black race agitators are attempting to co-opt the Wuhan virus and turn it into a racial issue, as if the virus is somehow actively seeking out black folks, exclusively. These people see the virus as one more prop to add to their contrived victimhood stage play.

“C’mon man…She was great in Gone With the Wind”

She’s obviously concerned for the health and well being of those most at risk, such as herself – morbid obesity is a high risk factor in most disease processes, and usually accompanied by Type II diabetes.

That’s the face of the first black woman President of the United States of America and the last president America will ever have before it becomes UN North America region one.

Rhetoric question: Why do Dems/Progs have such a problem with reality? This is nearly a universal malady.

At least when she starts to vocalize we will know it’s over.

Stacy “where be the buffet at?” Abrams should focus her efforts and do something useful, like GETTING A F’ING JOB and paying off her debts.
