CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin on impeachment trial: Trump “is winning here”

As the Democrats’ partisan impeachment farce continues to unfold, Americans are tuning it out and even Democrat primary voters are ready to “move on.”
While Democrats bet the ranch that their impeachment sham would harm President Trump going into the November election, polls suggest that his approval is strong and on par with that of Presidents Reagan and Obama in their third year in office. Both of whom, of course, went on to win reelection.
Add in the strong opening arguments of the president’s defense team Saturday, and even CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin is confident in asserting that “the Republicans are winning here, the president is winning here.”

The truth is obvious. But Mighty Mitt RINO Romney has not yet had his turn at bat.

If McConnell allows a floor vote on allowing new witnesses, Romney is suddenly in position to blow it wide open. That’s a majority vote. Yes, I hear McConnell assuring us that Trump will not be removed but I don’t it.

Reports of GOP resentment over that Schiff comment “heads on pikes” for those who vote for impeachment was week. We voters WILL be figuratively putting heads on spikes if that happens. Instead of making that clear, all we heard were reports of harrumphing. And the dumpster fire lives yet another day.
One of the two Democrat parties is about to blow itself up. I wish I felt confident that it was the supposedly behind Trump. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is what these guys do. Why won’t they just slam that door shut?

Toobin may be a little quicker than the Schiffty Nadless cabal in seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Toobin has been around for decades as a network talking head legal analyst. For career purposes, he needs to maintain at least some semblance of credibility going forward. He knows the Democrats have gone out onto a limb which they are now busily sawing off.

This mornings latest from NYT is that a leaked draft of Boltons book claims Trump told him no aid until information is released on criminal investigations…and of course the Democrat media is all over this with calls for Bolton to be called by then Senate.
I suspect stories like these are going to be rife this week as the Democrat media runs cover for Democrats during Trumps demolition of the Democrat shampeachment case.

It’s good to see such admissions. Not only for their truth, but because it’s worrisome that a lot of the holes and errors and misapplications that we report do not get outside of the right and right-leaning blogs.
