The mainstream media focus on attacking Trump over everything has once continuously curious gap – federal judicial confirmations.

Instead of focusing on the reshaping of the judiciary, the liberal media and activists are focused on calling McConnell “Moscow Mitch.”
The past two days of CNN Democrat debates is another example. There wasn’t a single question about Trump’s reshaping of the federal judiciary, or McConnell’s pledge to confirm a Supreme Court nominee in an election year. There wasn’t a single question about it.
While the media was distracted by Democrats attacking Trump, each other, and even Barack Obama, few noticed that Mitch McConnell advanced more nominees. One the first night of the debate, 11 nominees advanced to a floor vote.
That’s part of a total of 17 scheduled for confirmation votes this week, of which 13 were confirmed as of the CNN second debate last night:
The Senate confirmed 13 of President Trump’s judicial picks this week, helping clear the deck ahead of the five-week August recess.The nominees were split up throughout the week with four confirmation votes taking place on Tuesday and nine on Wednesday, three of which were by voice votes.”For too long fairly uncontroversial judicial nominees just like these have been held up and delayed by our Democratic colleagues even when the vacancy qualifies as a judicial emergency. Uncontroversial district judges used to be confirmed promptly in big groups by voice vote,” Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said from the Senate floor ahead of the votes on Wednesday.
It’s worth noting that as part of a deal with Democrats to allow the votes without needed for floor argument, 4 of the district court nominees were originally nominated by Obama.
That puts Trump on track for 150 lifetime appointees to the federal courts:
Almost alone, Maddow’s show took note, with a guest noting: “What Mitch McConnell is trying to do this week is confirm more judges in a week than he allowed President Obama to have confirmed in his final two years in office.”
