Cory Booker T-Bones it on confidential Kavanaugh document

God bless Senator Cornyn. He’s a perpetually undervalued member of the upper chamber.

Thursday, during Day 3 of the dog and pony show we’re calling a Supreme Court Justice confirmation hearing, Sen. Cory Booker (junior Democrat Senator from New Jersey) used his time to say he would knowingly and purposely release confidential documents obtained by the Senate Judiciary Committee, documents that supposedly proved Kavanaugh a horrid and unfit person for the highest bench in the land.

Senator Cornyn, who served on the Texas Supreme Court and as the state’s Attorney General, was not the least bit amused.

“Running for president is no excuse for violating the rules of the Senate or of the confidentiality of the documents that we are privy to. This is no different from the Senator deciding to release classified information that is deemed classified by the Executive Branch because you happen to disagree with the classification decision. That is irresponsible and outrageous and I hope that the senator will reconsider his decision because no senator deserves to sit on this committee or serve the Senate, in my view, if they decide to be a law unto themselves and willingly flout the rules of the Senate and the determination of confidentiality and classification. That is irresponsible and conduct unbecoming of a Senator.”

Watch:

Booker continued with the tough talk during the break.

After the whole charade, it was reported that the documents Booker claimed he was violating committee rules to release, had already been cleared.

Now, Hill sources are claiming Booker knew the documents were cleared for release but went on his “then lock me up!” faux virtue signaling rant anyway.

Really, who does Booker think he’s fooling? His imaginary friend T-Bone might think he’s tough but no one else is buying this ridiculous show.

Update:

Does it get any lamer than this?
