Cory Booker T-Bones it on confidential Kavanaugh document

Gets the what-for from Senator Cornyn

https://youtu.be/D7VVVsGRvuc

God bless Senator Cornyn. He’s a perpetually undervalued member of the upper chamber.

Thursday, during Day 3 of the dog and pony show we’re calling a Supreme Court Justice confirmation hearing, Sen. Cory Booker (junior Democrat Senator from New Jersey) used his time to say he would knowingly and purposely release confidential documents obtained by the Senate Judiciary Committee, documents that supposedly proved Kavanaugh a horrid and unfit person for the highest bench in the land.

Senator Cornyn, who served on the Texas Supreme Court and as the state’s Attorney General, was not the least bit amused.

“Running for president is no excuse for violating the rules of the Senate or of the confidentiality of the documents that we are privy to. This is no different from the Senator deciding to release classified information that is deemed classified by the Executive Branch because you happen to disagree with the classification decision. That is irresponsible and outrageous and I hope that the senator will reconsider his decision because no senator deserves to sit on this committee or serve the Senate, in my view, if they decide to be a law unto themselves and willingly flout the rules of the Senate and the determination of confidentiality and classification. That is irresponsible and conduct unbecoming of a Senator.”

Watch:

Booker continued with the tough talk during the break.

After the whole charade, it was reported that the documents Booker claimed he was violating committee rules to release, had already been cleared.

Now, Hill sources are claiming Booker knew the documents were cleared for release but went on his “then lock me up!” faux virtue signaling rant anyway.

Really, who does Booker think he’s fooling? His imaginary friend T-Bone might think he’s tough but no one else is buying this ridiculous show.

Update:

Does it get any lamer than this?

Wake me when Sen. Booker is actually disciplined. I am very tired of Republicans harumphing but not actually DOING anything.

Ummmm Reading the entire article, he didn’t do anything which would lead to his being disciplined. He just claimed he did by releasing “Committee Confidential” documents which he knew were removed from the classification “Committee Confidential” last night.

If this was criminal law (humor me for a moment), his state of mind would go a huge way towards conviction. He clearly stated his intent, and he clearly knew his actions were wrong – he stated the punishment for his actions. He also had the means. It’s like he showed up at a bank robbery with a toy gun.

He should be expelled from the Senate, or forced to admit he was grandstanding.

But we will have to settle for the “empty suit” that he is. Maybe they should remove him from Judiciary and assign him to the Committee on Records.

    Good night, Rip Van Winkle

It would take a 2/3 majority to remove him anyway, wouldn’t it? How brave of him!

Booker claims an “I am Spartacus!” moment? That’s cultural appropriation!

    oldgoat36 in reply to MTED. | September 6, 2018 at 2:52 pm

I don’t think he has a clue as to who Spartacus really was, and what the moment in the film (not real life) was about.

The man is a joke who is desperately trying to gain notice. Maybe his “friend” T-Bone will ‘splain to him that his moment was about as inspirational as a bowel movement.

The funniest part is that his big “Reveal” in the classified documents is that Kavanaugh was strongly opposed to race-based government policies in any form, even right after 9/11.

And the fact that Kavanaugh thinks that is it always wrong for government policies to discriminate against citizens on the basis of race proves that Kavanaugh is a racist – in Booker’s mind, at least.

scaulen in reply to Tom Servo. | September 6, 2018 at 5:14 pm

Booker actually helped Kavanaugh with the release. The guy obviously can’t read or fixated on the reference to Komeratsu that all the lib bots are trying to get trending. We need a better breed of politician, no matter the party affiliation. These illiterates are getting us closer and closer to “Idiocracy”

@oldgoat36 – actually at my age a good bowel movement can be truly inspiring – haha!

In the military, we had a remedy of this type of behavior called a “blanket party.” I recommend the Senate adopt a similar remedy for serial ass-hattery.

Where is Booker’s organ grinder?

I just had 100 Sinful Sugary Delights delivered to the home if the Wise Diabetic Latina.

And I waxed the floor in front of Ginsburg’s office. But I need a Caution Wet Floor sign… BRB…

For those who don’t know, Judge sSotomayor is a diabetic and had called an ambulance after a bout with hyopglycemia.

BTW I am a long time diabetic who has had like 1000 hypoglycimic attacks without once calling for an ambulance. Twice i took the appropriate steps but passed out before the and regained consciusness a few seconds later.

Fen in reply to RodFC. | September 6, 2018 at 3:31 pm

Hey, you probably will deny any need for an apology, but I’m sorry if my remark made light of your diabetes. Wasn’t my intent.

Since you were kind enough to wax the floor in front of her office, I will take the liberty of waxing the stairs leading to her office (after she has arrived for work, of course).

‘Gangster’ Booker. Trash man.

So, Cory bragged he was doing something highly illegal that is grounds for expulsion, but the documents in question were cleared and not “top secret” or something, and he knew this and so did many others…

Dear lord I hate these people.

    oldgoat36 in reply to HamiltonNJ. | September 6, 2018 at 2:57 pm

His whole life is built on phony. He set up things to puff his image up, made up a friend, goes on about something that he claims will have dire consequences when he knows full well it wouldn’t. Even his silly claim was based on just getting out sound bites and not for actually releasing something that a GED would look at and say – So!?!

    What a sham.

I logged in just to upvote you. My sentiments exactly, except I use the word loathe instead of hate, because, God knows, I don’t want to be a ‘hater.’

I read the headlines elsewhere. Then went to youtube to see Booker for myself. I couldn’t believe what I saw and heard. I assumed everyone would feel the same outrage. Then I read the comments to the video on youtube. Ridiculous. I came running to Legalinsurretion. Needed a sanity check. Booker called into question whether the issues were relevant to national security. Gee, I think internal debates in the executive branch about racial profiling in the days after 9/11 are kinda, sorta sensitive. But who am I to question, Booker, the Righteous One. He has already forgotten the chaos and vulnerability of those days, and the soldiers in the streets of NYC, where I lived at the time. I hope they kick him out immediately, along with the other pompous Dems on the committee.

Let’s see all the confidential emails these bozos sent around plotting how they would disrupt the hearings and lie about Kavanaugh.

I head Warren and Harris got in a cat fight over which one would interrupt the chairman’s opening sentence.

Go gobble you some T-Bone you grandstanding douche-bag.

It’s amazing to watch the complete and total implosion of the democratic party.

Cornyn is the #2 guy behind McConnell. He should be phased out.

Latest word is these documents were cleared last night for release so Booker is an even bigger grandstanding buffoon than people think.

even funnier than the grandstanding over releasing the memos is the fact that they show that BK was *against* racial profiling after 9/11…

helluva j*b there, Booker.

If Felonia can draw a pass on 30,000 emails, do we really think that someone is going to file a disciplinary beef against T-bones’ lover?

Kabuki theater…..it’s not just for demonrats.

Politics is show business for ugly people.

The video image looks like Senator Bonkers has hair. Too Funny.

Dilbert Deplorable | September 6, 2018 at 3:34 pm

Booker is a Pooh Flinging monkey. I have horseshiiit in my pasture smarter than he is.

The only thing Spartacus about Cory Booker is he and Bath-House Barry Obama are really good friends 🙂

Cory apparently didn’t understand this would not make him look brave, it would make him look (accurately) like a complete imbecile and a phony. Has he never heard of the Internet?

John Wayne (“I’m a real Texan just like you”) McCornyn is no conservative. His Conservative Review scorecard is ‘F 34%.’ I vote against him in every primary and general election when he’s on the ballot.

regulus arcturus | September 6, 2018 at 7:35 pm

Too bad the material was already cleared for release.

Whackjob Booker should be expelled from the Senate on general principle.

I caught a few minutes this afternoon of Booker having a civil exchange with Kavanaugh

Cory Booker from my state, embarrassed to be from NJ but that’s where I was born, has imaginary friend, T-Bone, and yet, nj.com (NJ’s leading “new site”) calls him bold and keeps giving him accolades. I comment there, but nj.com keeps removing my posts. Goes to show, like we all know, MSM working in collusion to remove a sitting President. I want to throw up.

“Senator Booker, I knew Spartacus, and you’re no Spartacus!”

Does Booker think he might die in battle against a legion, or be crucified by the state? Gets he bravery from a box of Wheaties, just like Colin Kaepernick.

Look at the picture at the start of this article? Would you want that face on TV every night as the leftist/socialist media sucks up to another “because he’s balack” prez? Not only is he a grandstander, but he actually makes Obama look like a man.
Booker and Kamala Harris are togros tryng to rude their way into the WH in 2020. They make the most noise at every televised congressionl event. Neither is qualified at any level, and they bring the usual black emphasis and associated cards wherever they go. Do we need an Obama third term but with more anger and less confidence?
