New Elizabeth Warren TV ad strategy — don’t let Elizabeth Warren talk

New Elizabeth Warren TV ad strategy — don’t let Elizabeth Warren talk

Warren finally takes the advice Scott Brown never actually gave her

Oh, irony of ironies.

Late last month, Elizabeth Warren falsely accused Scott Brown of telling Warren to stop talking by using a doctored video which cut Brown off mid-sentence.  The full sentence, however, made it clear Brown only was telling her to stop distorting his positions.

Meanwhile, Warren’s image has suffered from her many shrill television ads, like this disaster praising China:

Warren’s ad launched just two weeks ago had her sitting in front of the camera lecturing about the war on women.  Like nails on a chalkboard.

Warren cheerleader Joan Vennochi of The Boston Globe summarized Warren’s television problem:

Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren wasted millions on ads that turned her into every man’s worst nightmare: a smarter-than-thou older woman sporting granny glasses and sensible hair.

At the urging of national Democrats who are fearful Warren is blowing it to nice guy, Mr. Likability, the Warren campaign has changed gears and wants to soften her image:

Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren — amid growing unrest from party activists and leaders — is facing pressure to make a major shift in her television advertising with a new series of commercials that seek to soften her image, while focusing more directly on her GOP rival, Senator Scott Brown.

In a move which has garnered much media attention, the campaign already has rolled out its first commercial.

How has the campaign presented Warren as kinder and gentler in that first commercial?

By having her not talk, and relying entirely on having other people talking about her:

I doubt this will do it.  You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.

Warren deliberately cultivated the image of the shrill who endlessly lectured others.  People don’t like shrill (and they don’t like phonies, but that’s a whole other discussion).

Warren also is going negative in a commercial rolled out just moments ago, but in which Warren still doesn’t speak:

My guess is that Brown will not immediately respond with the obvious negative ads which would hammer Warren where it hurts, her ethnic fraud (although I wish he would go after her on it).  Warren’s negativity will not make her likable, and it’s too late to damage Brown’s image much.

Scott Brown never wanted Warren to stop talking. Her talking was what was helping him win the election.

So now Elizabeth Warren has stopped talking in television ads, taking the advice Scott Brown never gave her. That’ll teach him.

IF her 1-Percenter% lips be flappin’…She be talkin’ *hit & lyin’,Yo.

Rumor in MA is that this campaign shift will include testimonials from residents claiming Brown misrepresents himself, his record, and his desire to listen to0 the voters. In other words they are taking notes from the Obama campaign it appears and attacking Brown’s credibility. Anything to win…..

The shrill is gone? Wait. No it’s not.

“Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren wasted millions on ads that turned her into every man’s worst nightmare: a smarter-than-thou older woman sporting granny glasses and sensible hair.”

Or…

Henny Youngman’s mother-in-law…!!!

The counter-stroke by Brown…

She didn’t go away…she was just told to shut up by her consultants.

What do you think she’ll be like if you make her a Senator???

Why liberals insist that we put the wealth of our entire country into the hands of ignorant lying strews is beyond me. Liberalism has a serious masochism issue.

Heh, they didn’t put a photo of Scott Brown in the last video because they can’t find an unflattering photo of him.

They used to use his photo in their print ads but he looked handsome in the ads so they went bye-bye.

Lipstick, pig.

An obvious counterattack is to parody the non-talking ads using a life-size doll that looks like Warren.

Having read Paul A. Rahe’s article in Ricochet about Liz Herring, the Oklahoma Debate Queen, I was struck with Fauxcahontas’ teenage picture in which she exhibits long dark hair.

I am surprised that Warren has not taken the opportunity to gradually darken her hair over the past eight months or so. She can always claim that she is returning to her “roots.”

I didn’t make the connection until these new ads. Elizabeth Warren is Jan Schakowsky. Same hair, same demeanor. Jan’s yard signs have the tag line “A fighter on our side”. Her alternate tag line is “A champion for our progressive values.” Fauxchahontas is channeling Jan the Communist. Eww.

Actually this race reminds me an Illinois matchup- that of Dawn Clark Netsch challenging Jim Edgar for governor. Dawn was a lake front lefty politician and law professor at Northwestern who reminded both men and women of that grade school teacher they had despised. Edgar was a lot like Mitt – a good looking non-smoking, tee-totaling moderate who always looked like he’d been dipped in Scotch-guard.

LOL @ Henry’s comment. Lipstick, pig. Touche Henry.

She’s dorky looking too.

Wait…maybe we could get Todd Akin and Lizzie to do a joint commercial. That would make people’s heads explode.

Praising china?

http://chovanec.wordpress.com/

Take a read. I wouldn’t be praising china on its green investments, its rail investments or any of its other “investments” right about now as the house of cards is starting to fall under its own weight.

You gotcher cute little Black kid, you gotcher senior citizen couple holding her hand, you gotcher STRONG WOMAN, you gotcher hardworking worker mans in front of the furnace.

Yep. That’s a barn burner of an ad. Unique. A real eyecatcher.

How is she going to communicate during the debates without speaking? Smoke signals?

I have a better strategy.
don’t let her run and she cannot messup her campaign.
win-win

I disagree that “Warren deliberately cultivated the image of the shrill who endlessly lectured others.” She didn’t have to cultivate any image. She’s just being herself.

her picture should be in encyclopedias next to the word skank.

I realize that the Democrats in Ma are ecstatic about how Liz and JoeK III’s primary turnout was ‘fanf-ingtastic’, but how deluded can one be? People here and everywhere are not comfortable sharing their true feelings about what’s going on politically, even with members of their own family.

The seniors showed up and now they declare victory. Think not. That little pisser Kennedy doesn’t even have to campaign. This isn’t sliding by the TAXPAYERS, doomsday is coming and the joygasm is going to be worth the slow tease of the primary.

It’s the real revolution.
