Stop Mike Lupica

Stop Mike Lupica

… from writing assinine and over-heated columns comparing Tea Party participants to storm troopers (emphasis mine):

We are 100 yards, no more than that, from the front entrance to the school.

There is a stop sign here, and underneath the word “Stop” someone has spray-painted “Obama.”

Stop Obama.

Why has somebody done it? Because in the current climate, people have been convinced they can. Or, more likely, that they should….

This is no longer about political dissent. It is about storm trooper sound bites, and hate. This isn’t the kind of honest debate on which our system of government has been built. It is vile, back-alley fighting, getting worse by the day, with no end in sight. People say that opposition to all Presidents, even the most unpopular white ones, sounds like this. No, it doesn’t.

The stop signs in my neighborhood in Rhode Island are painted “Stop Bush.” The most vile attacks on George Bush have been the subject of prior posts (see image above for an example).

Mike Lupica needs to get a grip on reality and history. Or stop writing.

So many of these people who present politically aware must have, honestly, just crawled out from under a rock. Months back when Carter criticized people who were against Obama's policies a lefty family member was aghast at the Obama-as-Hitler comparisons and was bemoaning how the right wing was bringing down civil discourse. I escorted her over to a computer and showed her the contents of the zombietime website…as well as that of protestshooter. I told her that if she had no idea this was going on for the past 8 years then maybe she ought to seek out a more diverse group of news sources.

It still amazes me, however, how all this hand wringing over the Obama protesters is done as if 2000-2008 never happened. Especially since the evidence is still everywhere.

Why are these extreme weenies writing and whining about "honest debate" and lack of respect for our democracy when THEY OPENLY ridiculed, mocked and disrespected our Constitution and attacked the previous President who didn't represent their far left agenda?
Are these people serious?

I was disgusted at the Lupica column. He is dishonest and disgusting. Yet he is a regular on Imus " Nappy Headed Ho" radio program. I am sure Lupica never attended a Tea Party event and takes the Metro North from Manhattan to his All WHITE Connecticut enclave and never sees America,

When he comes out against SEIU violence, I might give him the time of day.

Am I disgusted? you betcha. However, I'm constantly amazed at the wise men getting their knickers in a twist over negative comments. It goes on all the time and has gone one for a very long time. Among the nicer things Lincoln's northern opponents said about him was "The Original Ape."

Grow up, become an adult and ignore the idiots. They will be there, but when the chattering class stops chattering, maybe they will just disappear into the mist.

The stop signs in my neighborhood in Rhode Island are painted "Stop Bush."

The very blue city of Austin, TX has/had it's share of these graffiti'd "Stop Bush" signs as well.   Libs really need to pull there heads out from where the sun don't shine and smell the tea for a change.
.

Remember, our President got his start in the livingroom of two Weather Underground terrorists.

No wonder Lupica is such a has-been. When he makes a complete fool out of himself by wrighting nonsense like that, people just ignore him.

Lupica is an ex-sports writer (who still gets a Sunday column)of minimal skills, who is so loathed in the NY sports community that he is virtually unable to get a direct quote from a local althete. Not sure why the Daily News moved him to a "feature columnnist" position – part of their march to the Left, perhaps, or just a way to squeeze something out of a hack who is still hanging on to a long-term contract.

True, though, that he is a man of little influence in the opinion community – his poor writing skills and incoherent thought patterns leave him exposed as nothing more than a liberal pustule, capble only of spewing forth bile, rage, and spittle – and nothing else.

Like the crazy man on the corner, he is best ignored, not engaged. Shame on the News for not eating this man's contract, and bidding him farewell. Might help their circulation…

I never liked Mike Lupica. His sports colums sucked, and now his take at politics is even more appalling.

Useful idiot that is simply lying for the "cause." He should be ignored.
