Cal State LA President: Students Who Took Over Building No Longer Welcome on Campus

“Know that we will recover from this, but also know that I am committed to doing everything we can to ensure this will never be allowed to repeat.”

Last week, a group of anti-Israel student activists at California State University took over a campus building while administrators were trapped inside. They caused extensive damage in the process and even allegedly assaulted a few people.

Now, the school president says they are no longer welcome on campus.

The Times of Israel reports:

Cal State LA chief: Anti-Israel protesters unwelcome on campus after building takeover

The president of California State University, Los Angeles, said demonstrators protesting against Israel over the war with Hamas in Gaza are no longer welcome on campus after some of them occupied and trashed a building while she was inside.

The takeover ended early Thursday without arrests, a school spokesperson said.

Protesters barricaded the multistory Student Services Building at 4 p.m. Wednesday with university President Berenecea Johnson Eanes and dozens of other employees inside, said spokesperson Erik Frost Hollins…

In a statement Thursday afternoon to the school community, CSULA President Eanes said she has engaged with protesters who have occupied the campus encampment for some 40 days.

“I am saddened, and I am angry,” Eanes said. “Campus community: Know that we will recover from this, but also know that I am committed to doing everything we can to ensure this will never be allowed to repeat. I cannot and would not protect anyone who is directly identified as having participated in last night’s illegal activities from being held accountable.”

There were no arrests and no injuries were reported, but “assaults” were reported by three employees and one student, according to Eanes. Officials said those were a law enforcement matter.

Take a look at the destruction caused by these students.

A related ‘encampment’ at the school was cleared by police on Monday.

CBS News reported:

Police wearing riot gear move in on pro-Palestinian encampment on Cal State LA campus

Dozens of police clad in riot gear moved in on the pro-Palestinian protester encampment at California State University, Los Angeles on Monday.

The officers, with California Highway Patrol and the CSU system, moved in at around 2 p.m. to the large area that had been erected by hundreds of protesters last month near the Student Services building on campus. School President Berenecea Johnson Eanes said that as long as the demonstrations remained peaceful, they were allowed to remain on campus…

Palestinian flags, large pieces of plywood with anti-police terminology and messages of support for those in Gaza could be seen surrounding the encampment as SkyCal flew overhead on Monday.

The media should start seeking interviews with the parents of these students. Don’t you want to hear someone explain this behavior?

“ no longer welcome on campus”, what the heck does this mean, if anything? The proper response is “expelled and the university is pressing charges”.

Does the word insurrection not apply? Or is that only reserved for old ladies praying in front of an abortion clinic.

“No longer welcome on campus”

Not to worry. There are plenty of other liberal universities that would be glad to have them.

The president of the university needs to be fired. All who can be identified need to be arrested and have felony charges prosecuted.

No criminal charges? No lawsuits?

No expulsions? I don’t know what “no longer welcome on campus” means in modern university admin-speak and the word “Expelled” seems to be radioactive to them.. Is that like sent to bed without dinner or is it booted for the week, semester, life?

Who pays to repair the vandalism? Treat the victims?

“No longer welcome on campus” sounds like what used to be plainly called “expulsion.” One wonders why the latter word wasn’t used, to more clearly communicate what this punishment actually means — assuming that expulsion is what is being contemplated.

I bet they’re not all students. Typically a third of the rioters will be outside agitators.

Unless “no longer welcome” means arrests and expulsions, the words mean nothing.

“You’re not welcome on campus” will be received by the communists much like the Iranians received Brandon’s “Don’t”.

“no longer welcome on campus”
How demure.
Still too woke to use words like “banned,” or “trespassed?”

No: cuffs; processing; mug shot; jail; HUGE BAIL; public release of picture with real name; real prosecution==>FAKE.

As long as LA is a catch and release jurisdiction there is no point in arresting the terrorists. A full on riot crew busting heads and beating the crap out of the terrorists is the only answer to brake this up.

No arrests? There’s your problem.

No arrests were made in a State where the government doesn’t want convictions or even to hold criminals. When Californica decided to go down the crapper – they went down hard and fast.
