‘Air’ Tests Positive for Alcohol at American University Frat House Party

“Officers were called to the home by neighbors who were bothered by the loud music”

I know that alcohol abuse is a serious issue on college campuses, yet I find this story utterly hilarious.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

Air Tests Positive for Alcohol at Frat House

Indoor air at a Maryland frat house tested positive for alcohol.

The booze-filled party location’s air was found to have an alcohol concentration of 0.01. 0.08 is the legal blood alcohol limit for driving.

The home was the American University’s home for Sigma Alpha Epsilon, WJLA reports.

Officers were called to the home by neighbors who were bothered by the loud music coming from the party. Upon arriving, eight people locked themselves in a bathroom and one jumped from a second-story window.

The windows were covered with trash bags and insulation while some empty containers were everywhere. The floor of the basement was sticky from spilled alcoholic beverages.

How does that compare to the air in the average commercial bakery?

The frat house should be arrested and have its driving licence revoked. The building that is, not the frat house people. /sarc

As an SAE, I’m disturbed by this report.

We were able to get a much higher reading back in the early 70’s…
