Saturday Night Card Game (Sometimes a monkey joke is just a monkey joke)

Saturday Night Card Game (Sometimes a monkey joke is just a monkey joke)

Mahmood Ahmadinejad wants to ride a rocket into space in place of a monkey.

Pretty funny if you ask me, and actually I’m in favor of it.  Load him up and let him fly.

John McCain thought it was pretty funny too, and tweeted (via Twitchy)

When the PC police arrived, McCain tweeted for people to lighten up, to which Republican Congressman Justin Amash dropped the race card:

Do WE have to play those stupid race games? Really, it wasn’t a joke about race, it was a joke about Ahmadinajad being an idiot, as in monkey.

It’s a lot less than what the Democrats did and do to Bush:

Look, McCain knows monkey jokes. If anyone is sensitive on the subject, well, click at your own discretion (bad taste warning).

Can we just go back to letting monkey jokes be monkey jokes?

“It’s different when we do it”

But, but, but… It’s OK to insult Republicans and other conservatives but if you do so to a democrat, you’re a racist for sure.

I’m with Dr Carson, enough of the the PC crap and liberal agenda! A step back would be a welcome sign that we could still regain our sanity.

Meanwhile, I’ll keep at my gawd given task to tip sacred cows no matter who’s property they may be…

Has Justin Amash been instrumentally conditioned to drop the race card when the word monkey is mentioned? That seems to be very monkey-like behavior…

*sigh*

I was going to say that Congressman Justin Amash is a monkey. But I thought about it, and saw no reason to insult monkeys.

Go grind an organ, Justin.

“Wisen up…”…!?!?

Amash is an odd duck. Tea Party favorite, libertarian, Arab-American, his father is a Palestinian. I suspect this was less about racism than about a TP congressman sticking it to the moderate GOP establishment (Maverick!) which is trying to marginalize congressional TPers, conservatives, and libertarians.

OK, GOP… circle up. One… two… three… FIRE!

If his dad is a “Palestinian” it is likely more about his objection to anyone Islamic being termed a monkey.

Ahmadinejad DOES look like a monkey, and that is the point of the joke.

Dr. Carson is right. We need to talk without PC filters. Besides, why should we not make fun of intended genocidal maniacs like Ahmadinejad?

But you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
Ah, you don’t believe
We’re on the eve
Of destruction….

A little girl asked her mother, “How did the human race appear?”

The mother answered, “God made Adam and Eve and they had children, and so was all mankind made..”

Two days later the girl asked her father the same question.. The father answered, “Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved.”

The confused girl returned to her mother and said, “Mom, how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?”

The mother answered, “Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his.”

A woman got on a bus holding a baby. The bus driver said, “That’s the ugliest baby I’ve ever seen!”

In a huff, the woman slammed her fare into the fare box and took an aisle seat near the rear of the bus. The man seated next to her sensed that she was agitated and asked her what was wrong. “The bus driver insulted me,” she fumed.

The man sympathized with her and said, “Why, he’s a public servant and shouldn’t say things to insult passengers.”

“You’re right,” she said. “I think I’ll go back up there and give him a piece of my mind.”

“That’s a good idea,” the man said. “Here, let me hold your monkey.”

What race is Mr. Ahmadinejad?

TrooperJohnSmith | February 9, 2013 at 8:32 pm

So, calling furry-assed Iranians monkeys is now racists?

Please, just show me one monkey who was offended!

Seriously, political correctness is just a politically correct way for Progressives to censor free, political speech.

I thought the PC crowd believes man descended from apes? So what’s wrong with calling the Missing Link a monkey?

Our origins, whether from God or the almighty monkey, are a philosophical or religious concern. They don’t actually believe they are simian derivatives, which is why they take great offense when you pull the club from their hand and beat them over the head with their own article of faith.

oh great, now there is PC nonsense from republicans too?!?

It’s a juvenile joke, but it’s not racist.

The race card loses all of its alarmist “value” when it is used all the time. And it is used all the time. So, keep dropping the race card you outraged knuckleheads.

Well, I do feel sorry for the monkey. He is being compared to Ahmadinajad – a racist who Mr. Amash should learn about and quickly.

I suspect Amash, a TP candidate, was 1) pandering to a Grand Rapids MI CD likely heavy with liberals and minorities, 2) cautioning McCain against perceived race comments that mimic Todd Akin/Richard Mourdock utterances, and 3) failed to realize that in cautioning McCain against one perceived public speaking, he was himself committing another, that of PC-speak. Or 4) it had nothing to do with race or PC, but was an anti-amnesty legislator taking an ill-advised shot at a pro-amnesty establishment Republican.
