The United Kingdom’s opposition Labour Party on Thursday suspended former leader Jeremy Corbyn after a damning report on antisemitism during his leadership. Corbyn, who headed the party between 2015 and 2020, was responsible for rampant antisemitism in the party, a report by the country's top human rights watchdog, Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), found.

Boris Johnson's sweeping win in the British elections (via his Conservative Party) was an enormous body blow not just to the socialists, but to the anti-Israel movement. Their hopes and dreams of destroying Israel rested on wrestling control of a major western democracy, and Britain was their best shot.

What does the massive British Conservative Party victory, which will keep Boris Johnson as Prime Minister but this time with a huge mandate to "get Brexit done," mean for the U.S.? There are many parallels between what drove the 2019 British election, and those driving the 2020 U.S. presidential election. First among them, is a party (Democrats) whose political agenda has been to repudiate and unwind the 2016 presidential vote, much as the "remainers" (chief among them Labour) sought to repudiate and unwind the 2016 Brexit vote.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's election victory over his rival Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn triggered an unprecedented meltdown in European Liberal media and political circles. The Conservative Party led by Johnson won a resounding 80-seat majority on Thursday, paving the way for Brexit by the end of next month. While the Conservatives secured their biggest majority since Margaret Thatcher's victory in 1987, the socialist Labour registered its worst election performance since 1935.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative Party has won a landslide victory in Thursday's general election, final results show. With 644 seats out of 650 declared so far, Conservatives have won 366, Labour secured 203, followed by the potential Labour ally Scottish National Party (SNP) at 48. The pro-EU Liberal Democrats got 11 seats. Nigel Farage's Brexit party, which pulled majority of its candidates in favor of the Conservatives, failed to register a single win.

The United Kingdom is heading towards an uncertain future since Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Members of Parliament (MP) still cannot agree on Brexit. Parliament just entered a five-week-long suspension ahead of the October 31 Brexit deadline. Ahead of the parliament's shutdown, Johnson hoped to call a snap election for mid-October but failed twice to secure the required two-thirds majority in the Lower House of Commons. Instead, the MPs passed a bill designed to delay the Brexit deadline beyond October if the UK failed to reach a deal with the European Union.

Three senior UK lawmakers in the upper house of the parliament have resigned from the Labour Party over its 'institutional Antisemitism.' David Triesman, party's former general secretary, Ara Darzi, former British health minister, and Leslie Turnberg, announced their resignation on Tuesday. Triesman wrote in his resignation letter that the Jeremy Corbyn-led Labour Party was "no longer a safe political environment for Jews or other opponents of antisemitism. It is time to recognize the reality." He also accused Corbyn and his top aides of being antisemitic.

British Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and socialist media darling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had a disturbingly cordial back and forth of sorts on Twitter over the weekend, revealing a troubling new political alliance:
Following the telephone call on Sunday, Mr Corbyn tweeted: "Great to speak to @AOC on the phone this evening and hear first-hand how she's challenging the status quo.

We haven't written much recently about Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of Britain's Labour Party. In 2015, as he was campaigning for Labour leader, we covered his sordid history, Likely British Labour leader’s creepy associations, including Holocaust deniers, anti-Semites, Jihadist preachers, BDS and Max Blumenthal, among others.

Oh what a night. The disaster to Western Civilization from a Jeremy Corbyn Labour Party victory "may" have been averted. The British Conservative Party lost seats, and doesn't have an absolute majority in the House of Commons, but appears to have struck a deal with the Democratic Unionist Party. The Telegraph reports:

It looks like British Prime Minister Theresa May has become the next Margaret Thatcher as she dominated her first Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs). She said:
You refer to me as the second woman Prime Minister, in my years here in this House I've long heard the Labour Party asking what the Conservative Party does for women - well, just keep making us Prime Minister.
Then she railed against Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

People inside the Labour Party have accused party leader Jeremy Corbyn and his office of hampering the party's campaign to keep Britain in the European Union. From The London Times:
Alan Johnson, the former home secretary, said that it often felt as if figures in the leader’s office were “working against the rest of the party and had conflicting objectives”.

In the latest of a series of damaging embarrassments, Britain's Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, has suspended two Labour MPs for anti-Semitic comments.  Naz Shah and Ken Livingstone were suspended for suggesting Israel should be relocated to the United States, and suggesting that Hitler was a Zionist.

Labour and Corbyn

Labour, Corbyn, Shah and Livingstone each have a history of anti-Semitic incidents.  In February, Legal Insurrection reported on the Oxford University’s Labor Club (OULC)'s anti-Semitism scandal, including the resignation of its President and a slew of complaints by other OULC members.  While the Conservative government ordered an investigation, we wrote in February:
The devil’s in the details, though.  Even the good news that the government will investigate apparently rampant anti-Semitism on UK campuses has strings attached.  Former OULC member and leader of the national Labor Party Ed Miliband called for current Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn to “personally look into” issues at OULC. Corbyn, in turn, is very much part of the problem.  He calls Hamas “friends” and has met with leaders from both Hamas and Hezbollah.  In September he spoke to the Labor Friends of Israel and refused to actually say the word “Israel.”  Corbyn’s website still peddles the malicious lie that “Israel must lift the ongoing siege of Gaza.”  The idea of Corbyn investigating anti-Semitism by a Labor-ite is insulting.
Things have only grown worse.
