In a speech on Tuesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced the country will open its markets and slash tariffs on auto import. It appears to be a concession to President Donald Trump, who has threatened tariffs on Chinese goods, which has led to fears of a trade war.

The New York Times has reported that the FBI raided the office of President Donald Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen. They seized documents related to a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, who claims she had an affair with Trump, along with other material after they received a referral from Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Republican Florida Governor Rick Scott announced Monday that he will challenge Democrat Senator Bill Nelson for his seat. This has the potential to become the biggest midterm race this year.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The way to pressure Russian Vladimir Putin is to hit those closest to him so they can't enjoy the luxuries of the West they claim to hate so much. President Donald Trump's administration did just that with a new round of sanctions on several oligarchs and government officials. This includes Putin's son-in-law and also Alexey Miller, the main man at Russia's Gazprom.

A possible trade war continues to brew as China proposes its own tariffs on American goods after President Donald Trump's administration released a list of 1,300 Chinese exports it plans to target with tariffs. Information came out about the YouTube shooter overnight that will surely make the story disappear. The shooter was an Iranian-born female who held anti-capitalist, animal rights views. She used a pistol, not an AR-15. It also looks like the police may have been able to prevent the shooting. Nasim Aghdam, who came to America from Iran with her family in 1996, injured three people at YouTube headquarters before she killed herself. Her dad told numerous outlets that he warned police "she might be headed to YouTube because she 'hated' the company." Police confirmed they interviewed Aghdam Tuesday morning...and let her go.

Remember that awful omnibus bill the government passed last month? The backlash was swift and strong. Apparently, lawmakers listened because reports suggest Trump and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) have started to look at ways to slash spending from the $1.3 trillion bill.

Over the weekend, Fuzzy blogged about a caravan of hundreds of Central Americans crossing over into Mexico in an attempt to cross America's border. The people want to apply for asylum or slip into the country illegally. At first, Mexico didn't do anything to stop them, but officials decided late Monday night to disband the caravan. The government will allow disabled people and pregnant women to stay. The others must leave.

The Constitution bars the government from passing laws that prevent us from exercising our natural right to bear arms. Knowing they don't have a chance of outrightly banning guns, the anti-gun crowd drafted a bill that would require a background check to buy ammunition.

A Harris County grand jury indicted Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett on a federal charge of injury of the elderly at the 2017 Super Bowl that took place at Houston's NRG Stadium. Bennett allegedly forced his way through security to get on the field to celebrate with his brother and the New England Patriots. He allegedly injured a 66-year-old paraplegic woman on the security team.
