Former congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul recently spoke about the controversy surrounding Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia. He suggested that expelling people from Congress for believing in conspiracy theories sets a dangerous precedent and represents a threat to free speech. He also makes an excellent point about who gets to define what is and is not a conspiracy theory.

Since the beginning of the pandemic and the associated lockdowns, thousands of New York residents have been unable to pay their rent. One New York Democrat, State Senator Michael Gianaris, urged Andrew Cuomo to pick up the bill. You knew this was coming, didn't you?

Longtime Legal Insurrection readers will be very familiar with the work of Thomas Sowell. A new documentary about him called 'Common Sense in a Senseless World' came out on YouTube. Journalist Jason Riley, who has spent years studying Sowell's works, hosted the one-hour film.

For the last four years, we watched as journalists in the White House press room treated Trump's press people with outright hostility. Now we are learning that the Biden White House has allegedly been asking reporters to submit their questions in advance, presumably so there won't be any surprises. If you watched how the Biden campaign dealt with the press before the election, none of this would surprise you.

Bruce Davis was a member of the Manson Family cult who participated in the torture and murder of Gary Hinman in 1969. Davis has now been recommended for parole, and the move has the support of new Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón. Like many progressive DAs across the country who won with the financial backing of left-wing billionaire George Soros, Gascón operates more like a high priced defense attorney than a prosecutor.
