Obama: Silence for me, but not for thee

Obama: Silence for me, but not for thee

A tale of two videos.

It is not okay to sit silently when a single person in an audience shouts something:

We don’t believe in the kind of smallness that says it’s okay for a stage full of political leaders — one of whom could end up being the President of the United States — being silent when an American soldier is booed. (Applause.) We don’t believe in that. We don’t believe in standing silent when that happens. (Applause.) We don’t believe in them being silent since. (Applause.) You want to be Commander-in-Chief? You can start by standing up for the men and women who wear the uniform of the United States, even when it’s not politically convenient. (Applause.)

But he was silent, pretending not to have heard or known, of the denunciation  — not for the first time — of America’s military at his own church by his own personal mentor:

Update: Ann Althouse (via Instapundit) points out that even as to the “booing” referenced in Obama’s speech, Obama is lying:

The meme is false, as explained here.

There is a contagious lie and the President — he who often speaks of
transcending divisiveness — is enthusiastically spreading it… while —
ironically! — posing in the mantle of oneness, E pluribus unum.

And Gay Patriot has more on why Obama felt the need at the dinner to focus on attacking Republicans.

This is why I love your blog – once again you’ve hit the nail right on the head.

Obama’s complaint here is just as valid as Reid’s was regarding Rush Limbaugh’s “phony soldier” non-controversy, and should be accorded the same level of serious commentary.

He will always have Tucson and the Democrat pep rally held in honor of the murdered federal judge, John M. Roll, the murdered 9 year old, Christina Green, and 4 others; and injured representative, Giffords, and 11 others.

Once again, Obama, in his own words, is “acting stupidly”.

It would seem to confirm that Wright, Ayers, along with his other mentors, have taught him well. He really has been misguided and betrayed by the people closest to him.

And how about his silence at the Correspondent’s Day Dinner as the comedienne called for Rush Limbaugh to die a painful death. Ok… silence would have been nice. Instead, he chortled mightily at this joke.

And of course, where were his admonishments when Jim Hoffa preceded him on stage in Detroit while demanding the audience “take out” the Republicans.

Me thinks the B.O. just might be motivated by the very partisanship he claims to deplore. Hmmm….

Wasn’t this the guy who not only didn’t take back that he was was proud of Jimmy Hoffa after Hoffa said “Let’s take these sons of b****** out” at a presidential speaking event, but said he wasn’t going to be the speech police?

And now he calls on others, though ignoring offensive comments by official speakers, to criticize audience response?

Look, until we make inroads, somehow, on the liberal/leftist hegemony in the entertainment/news business, we’ll get propaganda and “Big Lie” presentations.

Attempting to refute them is good but even better is to go on the attack.

NONE of those present on stage HAS REFUTED THIS LIE!

They’re really the only ones who have the attention of the Media and the public to effectively refute these lies.

THAT’S OUR PROBLEM. Not that our enemy lies but that those who say they want to represent us are AFRAID of standing up for the truth and refute them.

I am a proud soldier. I have proudly served with straights and gays. It never occurred to me to judge a fellow soldier on his/her sexual orientation.
None of us need Obama’s defense, especially as fake as his defense is. I don’t need to hear a bunch of Leftists cheering Obama’s so-called defense of soldiers when I know that every single person in that audience would rather there be no soldiers at all, and have probably cheered even more loudly when some Leftie denounced us soldiers.
Of course Obama gets no defense from me either. I wouldn’t bother to piss on him if he were on fire. But at least I’m man enough to say such a thing. Obama was never, would never, will never, be man enough to say how he feels about all soldiers, gay and straight.

Voldemort is a TRAITOR.

Take good care,

How about Obama’s own insult of a national war hero? Here, while mouthing words praising John McCain Obama sends his real message — the middle finger.

Obama never raised his magical voice to condemn his own supporters for booing President Bush at the Obama inauguration. At the time, Bush was the Commander in Chief of the same Armed forces the gay soldier serves.
