Martina McBride Angers Fans After Bowing to Outrage Mob Over America 250 Concert Event

“I will not be performing at the Great American State Fair on June 25th. I was presented with an opportunity to perform at a nonpartisan event, but that turned out to be misleading.”

As part of the celebration of America’s 250th birthday, a series of concerts was scheduled to be held at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., starting in late June and continuing into July as part of the “Great American State Fair.”

The festivities were put together by Freedom 250:

“The Great American State Fair” is a series of concerts, exhibits, tributes and other programs scheduled to take place June 25 to July 10 on Washington’s National Mall. It was organized by Freedom 250, which is billed as a nonpartisan organization but was launched last year by President Donald Trump and is headed by a Trump State Department appointee from his first term, the businessman-philanthropist Keith Krach.

With less than a month to go before the first show was scheduled to be performed, Freedom 250 revealed the line-up:

Not exactly star-studded, to be sure, but these singers and bands have their fans, some of whom were very excited for the chance to see them perform again.

But it wasn’t long before some of the entertainers started dropping out. And we can thank the Very Online Left outrage mob for guilting some of them into announcing they’d had a change of heart.

Country music star Martina McBride, in particular, angered a lot of folks with the statement she put out on Thursday explaining her decision to back out:

“I would like to talk to you and clear the air. I will not be performing at the Great American State Fair on June 25th. I was presented with an opportunity to perform at a nonpartisan event but that turned out to be misleading. I asked lots of questions and was assured this was a nonpartisan event that was meant to celebrate ALL 50 states. In my mind I thought this was a great way to celebrate the states and also bring people together in a way that only music can. I saw it as just a bigger version of so many state fairs I have performed at over the years, celebrating community and what makes each state special. Sounds fun, right? Wholesome even. Yesterday things started changing and what we were told is, in fact, not what is happening.

“I’ve spent my entire career singing songs about real people with real issues. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to be a voice for those who have felt like they didn’t have one. It greatly upsets me that any fan who has been moved by my music may now feel like I’m abandoning the meaning behind those songs. I assure you, that is not the case. I appreciate every single fan who has reached out. I hope to get back to the DC area very soon.”

Glancing through some of her more recent Instagram posts, she received a lot of hate in the comments after the announcement of her performance was initially made. So the “tolerant left” and their unhinged temper tantrums undoubtedly factored into her decision.

Though a few others, including Poison’s Bret Michaels and the Commodores, also withdrew, this one hit a little different, considering conservatives have been among country music’s biggest supporters going back decades.

Plus, McBride had previously performed for Democratic Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

Though there was a lot of “yas, qweening” on her Instagram page in response to her statement, X users sounded off:

There was also this:

Honestly, DJ Marco would have been far more entertaining to watch than the original line-up, but that’s just my opinion.

I’ve read multiple reports on these performers dropping out but no specifics on what has changed to make this a partisan event. It appears much more likely that these drop outs are running scared from the lefty mob.

What changed is leftys calling and posting everything from death threats to saying they are MAGA.

They can’t help walk an old lady across the street if she is wearing RED. She might be MAGA.

Martina is one more I won’t be listening to. Her CD’s are going in the same circular file I threw my Dixie Chicks and Springsteen music into. Too bad, I always thought Country Music was safe!

Supporting America and Americans has always been partisan. Democrats don’t do either.

The post tells us what has supposedly changed: “It was organized by Freedom 250, which is billed as a nonpartisan organization but was launched last year by President Donald Trump and is headed by a Trump State Department appointee from his first term, the businessman-philanthropist Keith Krach.”

In other words an organization launched by the president of the day is inherently partisan, apparently. But only if that president happens to be Republican. When a Democrat is in the White House then the mere fact that he launches something doesn’t stop it being nonpartisan. Because someone forgot to look up “partisan” in the dictionary.

Democrat party operatives are moving the levers behind this ‘sudden drop out’.

I might refer Martina to what happened to the Dixie Chicks. Her Country and Western career is now going to be a slow painful decline.

From now on I hope her concerts get boycotted.

Not a Patriot in the bunch.

can you imagine, years from now, her children/grandchildren/family members saying to her: “you mean you were invited to sing at america’s 250th anniversary celebration, on the national mall, by the lincoln memorial, an historic event for our country, and you said NO ?”

been more than fifty years but still remember hanoi jane

But, but… we still get ghey & retarded special guest stars Milli Vanilli and bad bunny. Right? Right??

For good reason. They back up their words like the Islams do. We on our side are nice.

Do you know it takes less than a minute to delete artists from a playlist. And one minute more to exclude artists from rotation on youtube, apple, etc.

Martina who????????????????????

The malcontent, loathsome Democrap Party cannot tolerate anyone celebrating the 250th anniversary of this country. That’s it in a nutshell.
They will do whatever they have to in order to sabotage what is supposed to be a national celebration. This is just the beginning of that enterprise.

The measure of hypocrisy is whether any of these has beens would have attended if Kamala Suckdick was president.

      henrybowman in reply to AF_Chief_Master_Sgt. | May 31, 2026 at 6:56 pm

Maybe not, because Kamala would have charged them admission.
Then had the musicians give short partisan speeches.
Then explain she promised the musicians would “be there,” she didn’t say anything about performing.

So very stunning and brave of some artists to decline to perform for America’s 250th ‘birthday’. I suppose some are not quite strong enough not to buckle under pressure nor independent enough to resist the narrative. They’re still performing but instead of on the National Mall for a National Audience of their fellow Citizens its for a much smaller audience of loud leftists who have these ‘performers’ obeying commands like trained animals.

The left will do and has done everything it can to humiliate Trump or derail his agenda no matter if it is good for America or not. Their party has descended into a sickness that it may never recover from.

The Gentle Grizzly | May 30, 2026 at 5:34 pm

Given what happened to Charlie Kirk, and the ever-increasing violent rhetoric from the likes of Hakeem Jeffries et al, I find it hard to fault her from backing out of an event if she even perceives it will be partisan.

As for comparing her to the Dixie Chicks: please. They came right out and got nasty and vile.
