Marco Rubio Goes Into Hearing for Secretary of State With Support

Sens. John Fetterman and Dick Durbin already said they’re voting for Rubio.

Sen. Marco Rubio might have the most straightforward confirmation hearing from President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees. Many Democrats have already expressed support.

Protestors

Oh, look. Protestors at Rubio’s heraing.

Opening Statement

Olivier Knox at U.S. News received Rubio’s prepared remarks:

In his prepared remarks, obtained by U.S. News, Rubio drills down on American rivals and enemies but also excoriates unnamed globalists who, he charges, steered the U.S. away from pursuing its own interests in favor of building an international order subverted by powers like China.

Those powers “took advantage of all its benefits,” the senator says. “But they ignored all its obligations and responsibilities. Instead, they have lied, cheated, hacked, and stolen their way to global superpower status, at our expense.”

Knox also said Rubio plans to champion an “America First” vision.

Many of the crimes Biden committed, some capital, occurred when he was NOT POTUS

-When the election of 2020 is adjudicated as fraud, it will be easier to undo things, possibly even pardons

Also: You misspelled Chy-na… 🙂

Shaheen wants to “rebuild Syria.”

Yes, Syria is now controlled by an al-Qaeda acolyte and committed Muslim terrorist/Islamofascist — let’s send money there, to help them “rebuild,” so they can have more money to spend waging genocidal “holy war” against Israel.

My God, these Dhimmi-crat apparatchiks are dumber than rocks.

Maybe the new Syrian terrorist leader can name a street after Shaheen.

More of the same, utterly naive, stupid and indefensible dhimmitude and nation-building profligacy that worked so well in Iraq and Afghanistan. These idiots never learn from history; it’s galling and appalling.

My understanding is that all spectators in the gallery have to be invited by a Senator. How about we find out who invited them and sanction those Senators who intentionally invite protesters who disrupt the hearings?

I’m remembering how nice it is to have a SoS who is smart, principled and interested in defending the U.S.’s and allies’ interests.

The last one we had was Pompeo, under #45. Senator Rubio will be great in this role, but admittedly, he and the rest of #47’s cabinet have innumerable piles of doo-doo to clean up, left behind by the wretched and failed Biden-Harris Administration and its toddler-apparatchiks.
