*UPDATE* Guatemalan Illegal Alien Arrested for Allegedly Setting Woman on Fire on NYC Subway

The video shows the man “calmly” looking “on as flames engulf the unidentified woman.”

*UPDATE* The police have arrested a Guatemalan illegal alien for allegedly setting a sleeping woman on fire on the NYC subway and watched her burn to death.

From The New York Post:

Police sources say a civilian identified the suspected killer as he rode on a train at 34th Street in Manhattan.

The witness waved down the cops, who later picked the suspect up and detained him.

He has not been charged with a crime yet, sources added.

The man had a lighter in his pocket, according to PIX11.

***Previous reporting…

The New York Police Department (NYPD) is searching for the man who allegedly set fire to a sleeping woman in a Coney Island F train.

The New York Post obtained video of the man watching her burn alive.

I will not share the video.

We have no information on the man. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s an illegal alien.

From The New York Post:

NYPD officers responded to reports of a fire just before 7:30 a.m. at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station and found the woman engulfed in fire while sitting on an idling F train, police told The Post.

She was found with liquor bottles surrounding her, though it was not immediately clear if they played any part in the fire, sources said.

Investigators believe that the woman was sleeping when a man sitting across from her got up, walked by her and threw a match on her, engulfing her in fire, sources said.

The publication reported that “the man calmly looks on as flames engulf the unidentified woman.”

A cop walked by the open door, said something on his radio, and continued walking down the platform.

The suspect got up, and the video ended. He likely walked away.

Authorities put up a $10,000 reward for any information.

I’m sure NYPD is going to put their entire undivided effort toward catching this killer the same as they did toward Luigi who shot the famous CEO.

And the DA will certainly drop all charges. One of the protected classes of the “new” America

I’m a little confused about the cop. He walked by, stopped at the door and then kept going like nothing was wrong?

      Milhouse in reply to diver64. | December 23, 2024 at 7:19 am

No, he spoke into his radio, presumably reporting what he saw and letting the dispatcher send the appropriate resources. Or give him orders, if that seemed appropriate.

Said the guy who every other damn time points out that the article did not state what is claimed and that no one but you can make a determination as to what really happened or was stated.

        Asshat democrat

Just me, but I think that most cops (or anybody else) who saw a woman on fire would actively try to put the fire out, not just make a report and walk away. Unless, of course, the train was already pulling away and he couldn’t board.

A psychopath.

I guess the totalitarian governor didn’t get troops to the cesspool fast enough.

Nobody tried to help her because they learned from the Daniel Penny case never to get involved. They might be accused of assaulting the bad guy, or of assaulting the woman and causing her injuries.

In Alvin Bragg’s New York, the most important law is the unwritten law against interfering with criminal activity. Keep walking on by. “I didn’t see nuthin. I don’t know nuthin.”

    henrybowman in reply to OldProf2. | December 22, 2024 at 5:00 pm

Yeah, my first thought. He knew that trying to put her out again would probably get him hauled into court by Alvin.

But talk about buying the lede:

“A cop walked by the open door, said something on his radio, and continued walking down the platform.”

    That’s nice!
When coupled with, “The New York Police Department (NYPD) is searching for the man,” the old wanted poster joke springs to mind.

    Milhouse in reply to OldProf2. | December 23, 2024 at 2:23 am

This wasn’t in Bragg’s jurisdiction. It’s unlikely that anyone was afraid of him.

It’s likely that there wasn’t anyone else in the car. Stillwell Ave is the end of the line, and at that hour a train going in that direction wouldn’t have been crowded, so anyone in the car with the sleeping homeless woman would probably have moved to a different car at the first opportunity. By the time the train got to Stillwell it would have been mostly empty anyway, and that car would have been empty. People waiting to board the train at Stillwell would not yet have done so.

The cop who walked past presumably called it in and received instructions.

NYC descent into hell continues.

Guatemalan.

No big deal – the crime rate of illegals is lower than that of citizens. /s

Memo for Illegal-,Huggers: Tom Homan is really your best friend. He’s the next to last stop before the train ends at the “Final Solution” station.

Correction – airport, not station – to be dropped off at their home countries, with or without a parachute.

Just wait until this time next year when the “Sanctuary Cities” are turned into hellscapes like “Mad Max – Beyond Thunder Dome” as the illegal criminals fall back to cities that will protect them.

Great! Then we can block all roads to prohibit supplies of food and other materials. They’ll turn on each other and decrease the surplus population.

Wonder what kind of “justice” Alvin Bragg’s team of goons will apply to this particular Guatemalan “spark of divinity?”
I’d like to suggest a “spark” applied to him after a good soaking in 93 octane gas.
Just in case he REALLY wants to know what that poor woman felt.

    Milhouse in reply to steves59. | December 23, 2024 at 2:24 am

Bragg has nothing to do with it. The crime didn’t happen in his bailiwick.

Crawford in reply to Milhouse. | December 23, 2024 at 5:27 am

I’m sure everyone is intimately familiar with jurisdictions, and no one thinks the pro-crime attitude is bigger than one office.

Milhouse in reply to Crawford. | December 23, 2024 at 7:24 am

Everyone in NY knows which borough they’re in.

And there is no “pro-crime attitude”. There are pro-crime DAs, such as Bragg. Their attitude affects only their counties.

Perhaps he doesn’t have “jusrisdiction”, but his actions have spoken loudly to the entire nation. No one checks their “jursidiction” before taking an action ~~ Bragg and other similar DAs have had a chilling effect nationwide.

Deport him. One limb at a time.

More blood (ashes?) on Democrat officials’ and voters’ hands!

“A cop walked by the open door, said something on his radio, and continued walking down the platform.”

Investigate the cop and charge him for apparent dereliction of duty!

The New World Order (NWO) seeking to place an ultra-wealthy elite class as the overlords of all Western countries is using legal immigrants AND illegal alien invaders as weapons of societal destruction to assist with paving the way for the elites to take control of all systems of command and control over all aspects of Western countries. The elites already control corporate systems that are in unholy alliances with governments at all levels. Traitor sell-out politicians and bureaucrats (Biden is but one of a multitude) obey their elite-class overlords and assist with paving the NWO way to take full control.

The new video of the migrant fanning the flames and the people just watching is crazy. It is quite the hellscape. And the lady is just standing there, on fire …

I’ve never seen anything like it.

I can’t find that video, but I haven’t seen any reports of bystanders watching before the police arrived.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to Milhouse. | December 23, 2024 at 3:02 am

In the initial video a cop walks right by it – it looks like a transit cop, at least.

      Here’s the other one.

Thank you. There are two people watching, but we can’t see their faces to judge what they were feeling. Were they just blase, or were they horrified and at a loss what to do?

The cop walks by as if he didn’t notice anything. He probably thought it was a trash fire or something, and that the person was trying to put it out. So he probably called it in and asked for the fire department.

? That explains everything! Not one of ur better posts.

There are two people watching, but we can’t see their faces to judge what they were feeling.

LOL. You don’t have to see their faces. You can see how they were standing there. They were not “horrified” at anything.

The cop walks by as if he didn’t notice anything. He probably thought it was a trash fire or something, and that the person was trying to put it out

          WTF??

Sometimes you just go out of your way to make outlandish and silly assumptions that no one with a brain could even accept. Yeah … just your every day, run-of-the-mill subway car on fire. Nothing to see … even if a person weren’t burning in there … Just walk on by … just a fire underground …

Or maybe he thought it was an early Yule Log … or the local Scouts having a marshmallow roast … OR maybe he needs to learn to pay attention and investigate! Or maybe we need to stop making excuses.

Police sources say a civilian identified the suspected killer as he rode on a train at 34th Street in Manhattan.

That must have been an earlier version. The current version says some teenagers identified him at York St and called the police. By the time they got there he had boarded a Manhattan-bound train, so they had the train stopped at 34th St and searched until they found him.

No charges yet? They wouldn’t be so slow to issue charges had the suspect been white.

I suspect there will be some public shift towards support for deportation of illegal aliens and more robust law enforcement, even if only briefly as a result.

I don’t know why there aren’t demonstrations to arrest Biden and Mayorkas for sedition. Is it possible for victims of illegals to bring a class action lawsuit against the government, or is that not allowed? Serious question, I’m not a lawyer. It’s beyond infuriating that our citizens are in danger due to deliberate federal government refusal to enforce existing immigration policy.

They’;re not guilty of sedition, and no, there is no such thing as a class action to demand someone’s arrest.

And no, there’s no legal action victims can take to blame the government for crimes that occurred due to the government’s negligence in enforcing the law.
