Nina Jankowicz Fundraiser to Sue Fox News for ‘Harm They Do’ Gets Off to a Slow Start
“Fox News lied about me hundreds of times to tens of millions of people. Help me hold them accountable for the harm they do.”
Failed “Disinformation Governance Board” (DGB) executive director Nina Jankowicz was an absolute fruit loop from the start, with her attacks on both the First Amendment and concerned parents setting off all kinds of alarm bells, in addition to the public learning in the first place that the Biden administration had created the U.S. equivalent of the “Ministry of Truth.”
Between all that, a Twitter feed chock full of pro-lock the country down sentiment, and her own forays into spreading disinformation, the backlash was swift and loud, with the Biden administration’s Dept. of Homeland Security ultimately hitting “pause” on the DGB and Jankowicz resigning in disgrace.
After the GOP retook control of the House, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) was made Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, which now contains the “Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government,” which is also chaired by Jordan.
The House Judiciary Committee fired off a letter to Jankowicz and her attorneys earlier this week in which Jordan tore into their claims that, in a nutshell, she doesn’t have to provide them with the information that they seek:

A day later, Jankowicz appears to have created a “GoFundMe” account, specifically to sue Fox News, which she blames for allegedly spreading “malicious, reckless lies about me” and putting her in the position she is now:

Jankowicz has set a goal of $100,000, but over 24 hours into her campaign, the GoFundMe page hasn’t seen much action, with her raising just $7,121 as of this writing.
Some of it, she noted, came from critics who were willing to pay the minimum donation ($5) just to openly dunk her on her fundraising page:

One potential explanation for Jankowicz not being able to raise much money so far is that it appears she’s blocked about 75% of Twitter, including people who have never interacted with her:

Either that, or maybe not even hardcore leftists care to be associated with Jankowicz at this point, especially considering all that went down and the fact that along the way she earned the unflattering nickname of “Scary Poppins,” which started after she posted this bizarre video to TikTok and Twitter:

I think Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said it best in response to an “interview” Jankowicz did in May 2022 in which she blamed a “disinformation campaign” and the supposed “personal political ambitions” of her critics for the government pausing the board, and her resignation:

There’s a centuries long history in english-speaking countries of partisan news outlets – as long as no one gets to outlaw opposing views that’s no Danger To Democracy ™. I like FOX news and dislike CNN (Clinton News Network) and NPR (National Pretentious Radio) news coverage, but would never support silencing them – even if listening to them for half an hour I can often spot a half dozen assertions that are either questionable or flat out wrong. If my opinions hold water, I shouldn’t have to use “shut up” as a response in discourse. And censorship is not a one-way avenue – what is done BY you can later be done TO you.
That said, I was surprised by how good her patter song was performed. I would mind to see her in any Gilbert & Sullivan performance – she should really consider joining any local G&S amateur group.

It’s hilarious that a Democrat Reich stooge that beclowned herself on social media blames others, and underscores her ridiculousness with a lawsuit that will draw attention to it.
Jonathan Turley suggests that she doesn’t really intend to sue Fox. That’s just the bait that she’s hanging out to attract donors, while the terms of the fundraiser allow her to use all or nearly all of the money raised for personal security, and legal costs she incurs fighting the Jordan committee and defending herself from people who are suing her.
