Georgia Primary Results: Herschel Walker to Face Warnock, Kemp to Face Abrams
“The outcome of the race could tip the balance of power in Washington, where Democrats hold a razor-thin majority in the Senate”
The Georgia primary races for U.S. Senate and governor have already been called. Herschel Walker has won the GOP Senate primary and will face off against Democrat incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock.
Stacey Abrams, who ran unopposed, has won the Democrat gubernatorial primary and will face incumbent Governor Brian Kemp.
CNBC has details on the Senate race:
Trump-endorsed Senate hopeful Herschel Walker wins Georgia Republican primary, will face Democratic Sen. Warnock, NBC projects
Herschel Walker, the former pro football player and businessman endorsed by ex-President Donald Trump, will win Georgia’s Republican Senate primary race, NBC News projected Tuesday.
Walker will face off against incumbent Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock in the general election in November, according to NBC. Warnock took office last year after winning a special election.
The outcome of the race could tip the balance of power in Washington, where Democrats hold a razor-thin majority in the Senate. The chamber is split 50-50 between Republicans and Democrats, and Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris holds the tie-breaking vote.
Early polls of the hypothetical Walker-Warnock matchup show the candidates virtually tied, according to RealClearPolitics.
Congratulations to @HerschelWalker on winning the primary in Georgia today!

NBC News has reported on the governor race:
Stacey Abrams wins Democratic gubernatorial primary in Georgia
Stacey Abrams is the winner of the Democratic nomination for governor in Georgia, NBC News projected Tuesday. She ran unopposed.
Abrams will likely face a rematch with incumbent Brian Kemp, who was secretary of state when he narrowly defeated her in 2018. She accused Kemp of perpetuating discriminatory election practices that mostly affected Black voters.
Since then, Abrams has become a leading voting rights activist. She has been widely credited for her efforts to register hundreds of thousands of voters through her organization Fair Fight and in helping deliver Georgia to President Joe Biden. That momentum, along with that of other organizers, also helped Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff to secure Senate seats.
Among the issues she has focused on is the expansion of Medicaid in Georgia.

Any way to trade John Cornyn for Herschel Walker?
This x 1000! Cornyn is so bad, I’d almost pick a Bushie over him…
Amazing what a flake Cornyn has become (or probably always was).
CBS predicts Abrams won??? She ran unopposed?
Yeah, she ran unopposed. It was a close race though..
I thought she was already governor?
There was a question of whether or not she slayed that Buffet or not but I guess the media ignored it.
Hey, Pumpkinhead. About all those hysterical claims of voter suppression and Jim Crow voting laws that cost Georgia over $100 Million. How was that turnout?
Kemp is a mistake. He didn’t keep his oath of office two years ago and will sell out to the highest bidder in the future.
Herschel will beat the wife beater Warnock and he is pro America and pro Constitution.
Well the voters selected Kemp over Perdue and Abrams is not a viable alternative so Kemp it is.
Yeah but let me inform the board of what I am being told. (I work a lot in Ga. and listen to the locals and this is what they tell me for months- I cannot say its true or false personally but I am hearing it consistently)
Everyone on the MAGA side I talk with seems to hold the opinion Kemp sold Trump out but they “believe” he is not so much a RINO as he got “the message” when his soon to be “son-in-law” got bombed in the car. (intimidated rather than a true RINO)
Purdue on the other hand was a well known RINO in office so he didn’t endear himself to many people to begin with.
Kemp did do some things like Constitutional carry, Covid, freeze gas tax to keep prices down somewhat so he “does” have some good to him.
True or false I cant say but I am hearing that consistently for months now. Perhaps someone who lives in rural Ga. could weigh in with any additional info.
North Georgia resident here!…you nailed it..that is exactly how we feel.
Thank you, I have been hearing that almost universally for a long time.
As Sun Tzu said “never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake”- I don’t feel like correcting the left on the false narrative that Trump’s “endorsement” somehow means something so when he loses its somehow meaning he is “losing control”.
I make my own decisions on a given candidate as I believe most intelligent people do but the left is too deep in the personality cult to see that.
So, Trump’s endorsement ( or lack of) doesn’t even factor in my consideration process nor does it affect my decision on Trump himself.
That said, Raffensperger, IMO is deep state and was a willful accomplice in the theft and I hate to see him win.
But, we don’t win them all.
I completely agree with you…Trump needn’t think he can write a blank check to himself on the back of Republican voters. On the other hand, Kemp’s win is not a repudiation of him either.
The Conservative Treehouse predicted that since Abrams was running unopposed, Democrats would instead return ballots for Kemp to keep the Trump-backed candidates from winning and Abrams will likely beat Kemp.
Not how it works in Georgia. You pick one party’s ballot and have to vote it. Dems wanting to hurt the Republicans would have to give up on other contested races in their own primary besides governor.
But were there any significant contests on the Dem side? Abrams and Warnock were both unopposed, so if you were a Dem and there was nothing much going on in your House district or locally, and you were able to take a R ballot instead, wouldn’t you do it and do an “Operation Chaos” of your own?
This is why until recently NY required that to vote in one year’s primaries you must switch parties by October of the previous year, which is usually long before it’s clear who’ll be running. Especially since the primaries here used to be in September. Recently they changed it so you can switch by (I think) four months before the primary, which allows for strategic switching, which is what I did in 2020 when we had a DINO running in the D primary for Congress, and there was nothing much going on in the R primary. I couldn’t have done it if they hadn’t moved the deadline.
Actually Warnock was not unopposed and there were down ballot races in numerous Congressional districts…Lucy McBath for one
I don’t see a lot of that happening in Georgia…I would be curious to see the ‘Republican’ turnout in historically black precincts to be sure.
Just opinions about the arrangements of the deck chairs on the Titanic.
Kemp is corrupt and helped steal the presidential election for the democrats.
It would be fitting for Georgia to endure 4 years of fatso. Perhaps they will learn a lesson.
The USSR learned that lesson quickly.
But it was another 60 years before they were allowed to take the dunce cap off.
We don’t need poll watchers in Georgia. We need drop box watchers in Georgia.
I voted for the first time in GA today… They used big machines to suck your printed ballot in,,, and then tell you it was processed,, a three inch screen on the top says it “went”… I took the time to stand in line,, present an ID and go through their process, only to have it end with giant black box, called Dominion.
Voting should not be such a mystery.
What mystery? What did you expect? How else should it work? How else did it work wherever you came from?
I figured they would get of Dominion. Period.
Why? Dominion is a good company and has performed well. Sydney Powell’s insane allegations against it were completely destroyed when the hand count came out the same as the machine count; that proved beyond reasonable doubt that wherever the fraud was, it wasn’t in the machines. The machines counted all the ballots they were fed honestly; the hand count did the same. A fraudulently cast ballot looks exactly the same as a validly cast one.
Antrim County, Michigan begs to differ.
We have (for the first time) the same/similar system. You vote on the computer, it gives you a printout, you go to another station and feed it into the vote counter.
That was it..In While waiting in line a volunteer asked if you would like a sample ballot to review, you had to pick a R, D, or I to review. After voting, I looked at the machine that swallowed the printed ballot. I actually looked to see what kind of connection it had and it was a just power line… I know that doesn’t mean much,, but I did look.. No other cables..
What are you talking about? I love these voting machines…they have several ways of self-checking your ballot and you are able to watch it as it registers and is counted inside your precinct. I’ve been voting in Georgia for 35 years. I used to be on the County Resolution board back when we used paper ballots….This is the best system I’ve seen.
Now watch a well orchestrated campaign to smear Walker and make him out as mentally deficient. It will be ruthless. God help him.
If Trump stays out of it, Biden & Pelosi will be the decider and R’s will win.
There are just enough anti-Trump R’s (2% — 5%?), to help or hurt Kemp & Walker. Be like Youngkin/Sears and win!
I left GA right before Christmas and moved to Charleston to be closer to my oldest son and his family. My youngest still lives in GA06 and is a solid Republican. I have no idea who my youngest voted for and he will not tell me.
I would not have voted for Kemp or Raffensperger if I lived in the state. Those two bought the Dominion Voting Machines (DVM) and changed the voting laws in 2020 that increased voting boxes and mobile voting, all without the state legislature approval. After the 2020 election the GA Senate had a committee do an investigation on election fraud and they found it in multiple ways. They gave the info to the GA Senate and Kemp, but they did not take it forward.
