Israeli Prime Minister Bennett: We Are Not Bound By Any Nuclear Deal With Iran

With U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration and Iran’s Mullah regime resuming talks to restore the Obama-Kerry Nuclear Deal, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has declared that his country will not be bound by any agreement when it comes to stopping Tehran from getting a nuclear bomb.
“Israel is not bound by what will be written in the agreements” reached as part of the ongoing European Union-backed talks between the Biden White House, Iran, and other sponsors of the 2015 nuclear deal, Bennett said on Monday. “Israel is not a party to the agreements…[and] will continue to maintain full freedom of action anywhere any time, with no constraints,” the Israeli leader added.
The statement comes as Iran while demanding the lifting of all U.S. sanctions, continues to increase its stockpile of near-weapons grade uranium and advance its nuclear-capable ballistic missile program.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said on Monday that Israel would not be bound by any nuclear deal with Iran and would continue to consider itself free to act “with no constraints” against its arch-foe if necessary.
Indirect talks between Iran and the United States on salvaging the 2015 Iran nuclear deal resumed a week ago in Vienna. France’s foreign minister said on Friday that progress had been made, although time is running out.
“In regard to the nuclear talks in Vienna, we are definitely concerned … Israel is not a party to the agreements,” Bennett said in public remarks, in a briefing to a parliamentary committee.
“Israel is not bound by what will be written in the agreements, if they are signed, and Israel will continue to maintain full freedom of action anywhere any time, with no constraints,” he said.
Israel has called on world powers to maintain a credible military option against Iran while they pursue an agreement.
The statement was made in the backdrop of media reports that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is working on plans to strike Iran’s rogue nuclear weapons program. “Iran can decide that it wants to advance to a bomb, either covertly or in a provocative way. In light of this basic analysis, I have ordered the IDF to prepare a number of operational plans, in addition to the existing ones. We are studying these plans and we will develop them over the next year,” the IDF Chief of General Staff, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kohavi, said last month.
The Israeli government has also allocated a separate budget to fund such a strike. “Israel has approved a budget of some 5 billion shekels ($1.5 billion) to be used to prepare the military for a potential strike against Iran’s nuclear program,” The Times of Israel reported in October 2021.
As the Israeli military and political planners consider a strike on Iran’s extensive and underground nuclear weapons installations, they may find it hard to rely on the Biden administration, which is stacked with former Obama staffers.
It is worth recalling that the Obama administration had stymied a previous Israeli strike plan by leaking its details to the reporters, Israeli analysts believe. “The United States is leaking information to the media in order to avert an Israeli strike in Iran,” acclaimed defense analyst, Ron Ben-Yishai, revealed in the Israeli news website Ynetnews in March 2012.
As Iran races towards a nuclear bomb, it has renewed threats to use its WMD capabilities to destroy Israel. Last month, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired nuclear-capable missiles. They simulated an attack on a nuclear reactor in southern Israel as part of the 5-day “Great Prophet” military drill. The missile exercise followed the top Iranian military spokesman’s threat to ‘annihilate’ the Jewish State. The regime-linked newspaper Tehran Times published a detailed list of Iranian missile targets inside Israel.

Long ago when the world was new, I had an online mailing list of like minded and trained individuals. I first started writing before that for professional military journals, and on that mailing list I would sometimes regress to my old subjects. I seem to remember, a long time ago, outlining in a monograph to that list how Israel could deal with Iran, permanently. 3 warheads; one direct attack on a certain location, and two detonated at specific EMP altitudes in specific locations.
I suspect that Israel has both the ability, updated technology, and most importantly the will to deal with threats from Iran. And considering that the US under the current regime is functionally in most matters on Iran’s side . . . they won’t stop because we object.

The United States is not bound by the so-called “agreement” either unless and until 2/3 of the Senate ratifies it. It’s a treaty. Unless ratified per the Constitution, it’s entirely non-binding. Same thing with nonsense like the Paris Climate Accords, ridiculous global agreement to set minimum corporate tax rates, etc. etc. etc. Our republic is a constitutional one, not a monarchical one, despite Brandon’s refusal to acknowledge that reality.
