Confirmed: Media Collusion To Smother Biden Influence Peddling Scandal Worked
This is what collusion looks like.
The New York Post‘s story on Hunter Biden took off on social media right before the election. It received more attention than failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s emails during the home stretch of the 2016 election.
But Joe Biden’s campaign team noticed that it did not persuade many people to vote against Biden. They discovered it’s because the mainstream media didn’t pick it up.
We all knew the MSM wouldn’t touch the stories coming from The New York Post. Twitter and Facebook tried to stop people from sharing it, but that only made people talk about it even more on the platforms. They eventually caved.
The Daily Beast did itself no favors with its post. I think the fact that the Hunter Biden story never resonated with voters because of MSM suppression is newsworthy. The Daily Beast made the article about the Democratic Party losing the social media war.
George Stephanopoulos did not ask Joe Biden about Hunter’s laptop and emails during an ABC town hall on October 16.
NPR confirmed on October 22 it refused to cover the Hunter Biden story because it didn’t “want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories” or waste their audience’s “time on stories that are just pure distractions.”
On October 30, NBC News decided to debunk an old Hunter Biden non-story as a way to distract from the actual story. If you could make it past the headline and beginning of the story you would get confirmation from NBC News that the story did not have any connection to Biden’s laptop.
Glenn Greenwald resigned from The Intercept, which he co-founded, because the editors did not want to run his story on Hunter Biden:
The final, precipitating cause is that The Intercept’s editors, in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom, censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New-York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression.
The censored article, based on recently revealed emails and witness testimony, raised critical questions about Biden’s conduct. Not content to simply prevent publication of this article at the media outlet I co-founded, these Intercept editors also demanded that I refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication.
Greenwald recently criticized CNN for allowing Rep. Adam Schiff to lie on national TV:
“[Wolf Blitzer] asked him a rhetorical question embedded with baseless assumptions: ‘does it surprise you at all that this information Rudy Giuliani is peddling very well could be connected to some sort of Russian government disinformation campaign?'” Greenwald wrote Thursday. “Schiff stated definitively that it is: ‘we know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin,’ adding: ‘clearly, the origins of this whole smear are from the Kremlin, and the President is only too happy to have Kremlin help in amplifying it… ‘there it is in the Oval Office: another wonderful propaganda coup for Vladimir Putin, seeing the President of the United States holding up a newspaper promoting Kremlin propaganda.”
He continued, “Schiff, as he usually does when he moves his mouth, was lying: exploiting CNN’s notorious willingness to allow Democratic officials to spread disinformation over its airwaves without the slightest challenge. Schiff claimed certainty about something for which there was and still is no evidence: that the Russians played a role in the procurement and publication of the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop.”
Greenwald ended his latest post with a great mic drop:
“Yet again we find that the most prolific propagators of Fake News and disinformation are not the enemies of the mainstream U.S. media. It is the mainstream U.S. media itself that deceives, propagandizes and spreads disinformation on behalf of the coalition of the intelligence community and the Democratic Party far more than any other faction or entity.”
But this also shows that old media has not fully died out yet. We all think print is dead and online media is the king right now.
It doesn’t happen overnight. I remember the right being convinced in 2012 that Mitt Romney was going to win because they won the social media war that year.

No, it’s not a contribution unless it’s actually given to the campaign. Doing something at the campaign’s request counts. But it’s obvious that that’s not what happened here. Nobody from the campaign had to ask them to suppress this story; they did it on their own initiative, so not only is it not a contribution, it’s protected speech so the government can’t ban or regulate it.
Just as Legal Insurrection is entitled to do all it can to persuade people to vote for Trump, the NYT, WaPo, and all the rest are entitled to do all they can to persuade people not to. And that’s all they did. They were under no legal obligation to inform people about Biden’s corruption, so they decided not to. That was dishonest, but not illegal.

Look, the major news organs are functionally part of the Democrat Party. Glenn Reynolds calls them “Democrats with bylines”. We’ve known that for decades. They’ve been lying to the public for a lot longer than that, but it’s only in the last 20 years or so that so many people have realized it. And most people still don’t realize it; they think that if they saw it in the New York Times it must be true.
But we know the truth. And the truth is that they are Democrats, and the first amendment guarantees their right to use their resources to advance their political interests, including by suppressing the truth and by outright lying. Our only recourse is not to use government force against them but to work hard to convince people to stop trusting them, and to start thinking for themselves.
And ideally to provide them with news source that won’t lie to them. For a while there was FNC, which tried to play it straight, not lying for either side. That hasn’t been the case for a while, and now everyone knows it. (I’m talking about news reporting, not opinion writing. The WSJ, for instance, is a good source for conservative opinions, but its news reporting has always been the same Democrat lies as all the others.)
Sad, but true. Yellow journalism, tabloid journalism, and checkbook journalism have morphed into corrupt journalism.
No shock that Joseph Pulitzer of the New York World (who pandered to the Democratic Party to increase sales) has an award newsies covet.
Since Fox has accepted the cookies and turned to the dark side, one can hope DJT might stir up some serious competition. Stay tuned.

I’d seen (and contributed to) reporting on refuge and migration affairs, China in the post-1989 world, and central Africa’s multistate war as the Mobutu regime fell. Yet, what’s all over the US media? Madonna’s cup size and some borderline retarded football player’s sexual affairs. Now, working in US public education, I see how our people are increasingly dumned down. Assessment after assessment simply robs everyone–administration, teachers, students–of the time needed to read and discover, which alone can raise our levels. While I doubt Trump’s legal challenges to matters in PA, WI, and MI will get far, and we’ll have to deal with at least four years of Kamala Harris, I wish our “Orange” president well.

Biden fights cancer the same way the ACLU defends “civil liberties” and the SPLC is concerned about Southerners, poverty, and laws.

The ACLU used to support civil liberties, and occasionally still does out of muscle memory or something. Amnesty International used to be good guys. I’m told the same is true of SPLC, but I don’t believe it.

Based on the fraud, it appears we do not know how people voted based on the public numbers. It may have persuaded 80% to vote against Biden. How one votes and how that vote is tabulated are connected but independent events. The corrupt Dems know this.

Second, the media is not sworn to do anything. AG Barr is.
In conclusion: this disaster (a very well final disaster for our currently formed nation) rests squarely in the laps of two titanic rats: Jeff Sessions and William Barr, both of whom swore the following: “I will support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
Sessions and Barr belong on the same gallows as obama, clinton, biden and kerry.

What is amazing is that with all the rigging (pre-election news throttling and disinformation, along with the actual cheating) that it was a close as it was. On any level playing field, DJT would have had a true landslide, and the Senate would be firmly in Republican control by double digits. There’s obviously a huge block of the voting public that has not yet succumbed to the propaganda and is highly resistant to the pressure to conform.

In order for it to have worked, you would have to believe that had the MSM reported on it objectively their audience would have radically (but I repeat myself) their own belief system.
We have seen countless times that when confronted with evidence and facts contrary to their hyperbole, Leftists and Liberals alike continue to ignore them.
So no, this cover-up did not work. It changed absolutely nothing.

This was such an extremely polarized election that I don’t think it would matter at all.
Anything that helped Not-Trump get elected by those that voted against Trump (rather than for anything) was worth it to them. In other words, even if they believed the truth, they would have looked the other way.
If the election had not been massively fraud-ridden, with fraudsters willing to do whatever tally adjustments were needed to haul Biden’s decaying carcass over the line, then I would agree that the MSM’s willingness to hide and deflect from his corruption made the difference. But let’s face reality: The only difference more exposure of Biden’s corruption would have made is to push the fraud to a slightly more obvious level. (Only a slight increase in obviousness is even possible because it is already perfectly obvious to anybody whose brain can process the visible facts.)

Mitt didnt win in 2012 because of the Philadelphia 300,000 ballots for 10 dollars a ballot factor.
That same factor was in play in 2008 and in 2018.
