NEW VIDEO: BLM protesters smash piñata effigy of wife of Minneapolis police union chief in their driveway

“… symbolically beating up a woman journalist isn’t a solution. It’s a disgusting act…”

https://twitter.com/mbrodkorb/status/1295458153384030214

We reported yesterday Black Lives Matter protesters harass neighbors of Minneapolis Police Union chief.

There is an update to that story, one which makes the intimidation tactic of going to someone’s home even worse in this instance.

https://twitter.com/Nathaniroberts/status/1294758288391835650

New video has been identified showing the protesters in the driveway of home of Minneapolis police union chief Bob Kroll and his wife, local TV reporter Liz Collin. The protesters were beating piñata effigies of the couple, with most of the focus on the piñata Collin.

Here is a report from a local website:

Protesters who held a demonstration outside the home of Minneapolis police union chief Bob Kroll and his wife, WCCO reporter Liz Collin, have been condemned by some Twin Cities media members and state lawmakers after video showed them destroying a piñata of Collin’s likeness.

The video from Saturday’s protest came to wider attention of the Twin Cities media when it was shared by former Minnesota GOP Deputy Chair Michael Brodkorb on Monday, showing piñatas of both Collin and Kroll being destroyed outside their Hugo home.

Kroll has been the subject of numerous protests since the death of George Floyd, with activists seeing his tenure as the head of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis as a barrier to addressing systemic problems within Minneapolis Police Department.

But Collin has also been the subject of protest outside WCCO’s office in downtown Minneapolis, with activists criticizing the station for both her marriage to Kroll and her involvement in stories concerning the police, claiming it’s a conflict of interests.

The writing on the back of the piñata was of a quote Collin herself gave in 2019, in which she noted she had not been involved in stories involving Minneapolis police or the union for the previous two years.

“Is it a conflict of interest for me to be a journalist married to the Minneapolis police union boss?” she said. “My answer: No.”

BMTN reached out to WCCO on Monday for comment and has yet to hear anything back, but WCCO anchor Jason DeRusha did criticize the action on his Twitter page.

“Protest. Complain. Advocate. Speak out. Picket my station again! But making a piñata out of a journalist and beating it is disgusting, offensive and sad. This is where we are? That all of these intelligent people thought this was ok?” he said.

Ohhhhh, she’s a reporter. Local media now see asocial behavior as bad. Technically, only this case. Harassing the husband at home was peachy. All the other stuff the past few months? OK.

But this?
Bad.

Can the media go to hell fast enough? I submit to you that it cannot.

For months now the Antifa/BLM brownshirts have been burning, murdering, raping and looting to the wild applause of the Joseph Goebbels media.

But when one of their own gets threatened? Sacrilege! Blasphemers!

https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/394849/

There is such a thing reaping what you sow.

Imagine the blm Browshirts if kamala harris becomes president? They’ll be the new SS.

It is one thing to protest, another to stalk. I think they have crossed the line.

      609.749 HARASSMENT; STALKING; PENALTIES.
      Subdivision 1.Definition.

As used in this section, “harass” means to engage in conduct which the actor knows or has reason to know would cause the victim under the circumstances to feel frightened, threatened, oppressed, persecuted, or intimidated, and causes this reaction on the part of the victim regardless of the relationship between the actor and victim.
Subd. 1a.No proof of specific intent required.

In a prosecution under this section, the state is not required to prove that the actor intended to cause the victim to feel frightened, threatened, oppressed, persecuted, or intimidated, or except as otherwise provided in subdivision 3, paragraph (a), clause (4), or paragraph (b), that the actor intended to cause any other result.
      Subd. 1b.Venue.

For purposes of this clause, “personal information” and “sexual act” have the meanings given in section 617.261, subdivision 7.

      [See Note.]
      Subd. 3.Aggravated violations.

      (a) A person who commits any of the following acts is guilty of a felony and may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than five years or to payment of a fine of not more than $10,000, or both:

If there is children (under the age of 18) it can be worst. There is law about this. Time to apply them.

ANTIFA is going the way of Al-Qaeda, spinning out of control. They have already killed a few people, and unless they are stopped, they simply will get more and more vicious. It’s time to put a stop to their nonsense.

They will have to be stopped, and it will be ugly. The only question now is how bloody it will be.

Had the rioters been at least kept a few days instead of being freed without prosecution, things might have cooled down.

    Progress (i.e. monotonic).

“ Had the rioters been at least kept a few days instead of being freed without prosecution, things might have cooled down.”

Extremely unlikely. Had they been jailed (however temporarily) they would have portrayed themselves as “victims of RethugiKKKan fascism”. The Joseph Goebbels media would have amplified their phony complaints to deafening levels.

Always remember the goal of Antifa/BLM (and the Communists who hold their leash) is to kill you. Period.

    TX-rifraph in reply to Valerie. | August 19, 2020 at 8:07 am

“Had the rioters been at least kept a few days instead of being freed without prosecution, things might have cooled down.”

This is why the rioters were released. Since the Covid-19 might not make real voting dangerous, riots will. The solution is, of course, mail voting–fraud on steroids. The riots must continue. The Democrat mayors, Governors, and prosecutors are doing their best to keep it going.

That’s the way I see it too. Antifa/BLM are paid agitators who don’t have the manpower to dominate the streets without the “useful tools” of white trust babies. But they cannot be trusted to go violent so they need the criminals, particularly violent black criminals, to do that job.

The Bernie crowd will eventually be faced with the same dilemma Hitler faced when the “brown shirts” became a problem. He had them exterminated (night of the long knives) by the SS “black shirts”. But then Bernie is not the leader who will emerge from this if they succeed.

That battle to be “the guy” will be an epic bloodbath. That’s why these socialist/communist uprisings always fail. The high-minded ideas always get lost in that final struggle when people will surrender to anyone who will re-establish law and order. Then the bloody purges begin in earnest.

or this one:

609.713 THREATS OF VIOLENCE.
Subdivision 1.Threaten violence; intent to terrorize.

Whoever threatens, directly or indirectly, to commit any crime of violence with purpose to terrorize another or to cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly, vehicle or facility of public transportation or otherwise to cause serious public inconvenience, or in a reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror or inconvenience may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than five years or to payment of a fine of not more than $10,000, or both. As used in this subdivision, “crime of violence” has the meaning given “violent crime” in section 609.1095, subdivision 1, paragraph (d).
Subd. 2.Communicates to terrorize.

Whoever communicates to another with purpose to terrorize another or in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror, that explosives or an explosive device or any incendiary device is present at a named place or location, whether or not the same is in fact present, may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than three years or to payment of a fine of not more than $3,000, or both.

Minnesota nice on display.

The suburban vote in Minnesota may be shifting to Trump.

Well, mail fraud and death threats against “Deplorables” will fix that. Unless people think that the Communists – after burning, raping, murdering, and looting, and having loudly declared their willingness to shoot their way into power – are suddenly going to allow a free and fair election.

The masks are nostalgic touch. Neo-KKK with Neo-NAZI dreams.

The little brownshirt in the Tweets is wearing a hat that says LOVE while he and his pals are terrorizing people. It reminded me of the slogan “Arbeit macht frei” that appeared above the gates to several Nazi concentration camps.

    BRAVO BRAVO.

Did you catch what he said?

We know this whole thing is FAKE.

He said people have already organized.

Awesome! Encouraging to learn that many of us are quietly organizing for THAT DAY! We are the majority and should start talking and acting like it.

Didn’t the KKK hold similar protests outside peoples homes. When the only difference between you and the Klan is the color of your robes you are not the good guys.

notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to unidentified. | August 19, 2020 at 12:31 am

The Democrat Party KKK did it at night.

The Democrat Party’s new KKK called BLM, ANTIFA, and MSM do it in broad open daylight.

DaveGinOly in reply to unidentified. | August 19, 2020 at 1:30 am

Go into a black neighborhood, or any neighborhood with just one black family, and, without directing the demonstration towards anyone in particular, hang an effigy (not representative of any particular person) of a black person. See how fast you’re arrested on multiple charges for hate crimes, intimidation, harassment, making terroristic threats, and civil rights violations.

Vote For Pedro!

Blaise MacLean | August 18, 2020 at 10:19 pm

At what point does peaceable protest become threatening and violent?

Kroll should just open up his garage door, and let the pull cord hang down “threateningly” — all the protesters would immediately shriek and run in terror.

For not he that commendeth himself is approved,

but whom the Lord commendeth.

More reason to restrict Black Supremacy to the Sub-Sahara. These people are, for the most part, incompatible with a society run under the principles of the Anglo-American Enlightenment.

Why is it worse to beat up the effigy of a woman than that of a man? And why is it worse to beat up the effigy of a reporter than that of a plumber or a bookmaker?

DaveGinOly in reply to Milhouse. | August 19, 2020 at 1:44 am

I’ll take on the latter part of your query.

There is a nexus between the threat to the subject and the subject’s occupation. It can therefore be inferred that the threat extends to others in the same occupation, even if not directed towards them specifically.

But if you threaten a plumber, electrician, or janitor, there is likely no nexus between the subject of the threat and the subject’s occupation. Therefore others in the same object are unlikely to feel threatened if the threat is not specifically directed at them.

C’mon man! Tell me that when a nexus exists between a threat to a specific subject and the subject’s religion, that it (the threat) doesn’t operate as an indirect threat against coreligionists.

DaveGinOly in reply to DaveGinOly. | August 19, 2020 at 1:46 am

Correction to third paragraph, last sentence:
Therefore others in the same occupation are unlikely to feel threatened if the threat is not specifically directed at them.

Good thing the DNC was scheduled before the RNC. Clearly, the Dems are not going to talk about this leaving it wide open for Trump to seize on the issue. Minnesota MUST vote for Trump… or die.

They may be targeting high-profile political targets for now but they are invading residential neighborhoods and not being confronted while being praised by the politicians and celebs. Does anyone feel safe? What are we going to do about it? Sue them? Give them a stern warning? Whine about it?

TX-rifraph in reply to Pasadena Phil. | August 19, 2020 at 8:17 am

“Minnesota MUST vote for Trump… or die.”

It is not how they vote that matters. It is how the ballots are counted that matters. Minnesota is run by Democrats. With voting by mail, one does not even need to vote. The Democrats will take care of it for you.

Trump must protect the integrity of the elections. That is our only hope and the Marxists know it.

True but only if the vote is close. It is impossible to steal a landslide election. Even if the Dems managed to pull it off, it wouldn’t stick. That is why the plan is to create chaos by creating an extended period for vote counting created by mail-in ballots which in some states, includes a couple of weeks before election day. The USPS ahs also declared they are not capable of handling the volume of ballots on a timely basis (and that’s not even considering the validity of the votes mailed).

We are heading for a major catastrophe but I am confident that Trump will win in a landslide… if we can avoid an endless “recount” which I expect will only create an opportunity for the RINOs who are speaking at the DNC to wrest control of the AOC/Bernie faction from the Dems. That faction is already sending the message to the Dems that they intend to riot well past the elections.

We are well into a communist uprising. This is NOT a drill!

Yet the fools in Corporate America are backing these anti-America Marxists. A pox on all of them.

Tom Servo in reply to MAJack. | August 19, 2020 at 9:07 am

A LOT of execs in “Corporate America” are no longer American – they are Chinese. And suddenly what once looked like “foolishness” is revealed as a very highly coordinated campaign by a foreign power to dominate this country. And no, it is NOT “Russia”.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to Tom Servo. | August 19, 2020 at 10:17 am

If anything, in the end, the Russian people, or at least the eastern Europeans, may prove our ally. The Democrats are not just in the Chinese camp, but the militant muslim camp as well. The Russians and the eastern Europeans are not fans of that crowd.

Aren’t you supposed to be blindfolded when you are culturally appropriating piñatas? A photo of a blindfolded man whacking at images representing law enforcement and journalism in order to be rewarded with candy would have been a lovely metaphor for this whole business.

Someone asked previously why the police didn’t arrest people if they were breaking the law. If you listen to the interview w/ Kroll on Justice and Drew, he explains the rationalization behind the decision. What was interesting was:

1) Kroll was not at home
2) This was the 3rd occurrence – in MN it requires at least 1 to get an injunction
3) There was a house that recently burned to the ground in the neighborhood so the threat of burning down Hugo took on a more ominous threat to residents.

Thanks Fluffy, I listened to the radio. I would still file ppo against the BLM. I think they should file charges against them and have force them to court. No need to arrest them onsite. Hold them accountable.

The radio host kinda gets it.

The tragedy in the Kroll incident is much of the BLM movement – just like the media – does not realize how Antifa is using them, and will eventually betray them. The article at https://oberlinchaos.com/litigation/hall-of-shame/black-lives-matter-mao/ explains the Maoist template and how it is being faithfully applied in Minneapolis and Portland.

“Yes, equal treatment in America is centuries overdue….”

Please spare us the sanctimony. Dozens of black student unions at universities around the country are demanding and getting segregated housing. What’s next, classrooms and buildings? This is absolutely intolerable on a number of moral and social levels.
