FBI Asks Public for Tips on Those ‘Inciting Violence’ During Peaceful Protests

The FBI has asked the public to send in any tips or “digital media” of anyone inciting violence during the peaceful protests in response to George Floyd’s death.

The FBI respects the rights of individuals to peacefully exercise their First Amendment rights. Our mission of protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution is dual and simultaneous, not contradictory.
Accordingly, we are committed to apprehending and charging violent instigators who are exploiting legitimate, peaceful protests and engaging in violations of federal law. The continued violence, potential threat to life, and destruction of property across the United States interferes with the rights and safety of First Amendment-protected peaceful demonstrators, as well as all other citizens.
To help us identify actors who are actively instigating violence in the wake of Mr. George Floyd’s death, the FBI is accepting tips and digital media depicting violent encounters surrounding the civil unrest that is happening throughout the country.
If you witness or have witnessed unlawful violent actions, we urge you to submit any information, photos, or videos that could be relevant to the case at fbi.gov/violence.
You may also call 1-800-CALL-FBI (800-225-5324) to verbally report tips and/or information related to this investigation.
Kemberlee provided examples of the riots and vandalism happening across the country. She noted that these incidents have nothing to do with Floyd.
In fact, it seems Floyd is forgotten. The rioters and looters have made the story about them, not Floyd.
The Wuhan coronavirus pandemic has already depleted the economy, but these riots will make it worse. Most of those businesses, especially the small ones, will not be able to open up again.
The rioters have attacked innocent bystanders. Someone attacked a man in Santa Monica as he helped a woman who was shoved off his bike.
Cops in Rochester, NY, want to find a man who attacked an elderly white woman and her husband as they tried to protest their business.
In LA, the rioters targeted quite a few kosher shops and the Jewish Fairfax area.
This is unfortunate because so many people want to have peaceful demonstrations to demand justice for Floyd and start conversations about police brutality.

I agree in principle, but there is a group out there, probably within #3, that is organized, maybe even highly organized and funded. This group most of all needs to be accounted for and tracked.

I have seen many recurring riots over the years, leaders always condemn the low life, wink wink. I have seen widespread examples of these people feeling they have an innate right to loot, to cheat on welfare, and to break the law on a grand scale. I do know people who are exceptions, but by and large the culture is rotten to the core. We enabled this by not holding people accountable.
What really bothers me is that it is hard to see how we can fix the problem. Once someone is poisoned, how do you undo it?

Why not gather all those pictures and put them on internet, $100 reward for the name of the person? Then arrest and prosecute them.

This is all so much BS.
After the “demonstrations” [read as riots] of the late 1960s and early 1970s, police departments had a lot of experience with these type of demonstrations. manual after manual was produced detailing exactly how to control these things. During later incidents in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the jurisdictions which followed these manuals saw little damage and only minor disruption. The tactics used are readily available should anyone wish to see them. But, the main strategy proven to work is the combination of private recruitment of local community leaders, the control of territory by the police, identification and neutralization of agitators and riot leaders and a very hard stance on the activities of the demonstrators from the outset. When the cops are armored up, use effective crowd control tactics, and do not allow large scale mobs to form, in the first place, these demonstrations are controllable.
None of that happened in the major metropolitan areas of this country for these incidents. Instead, the liberal Progressive Democrats, who control thee areas, decided to pander to the mob by allowing them too attack and destroy the rest of the citizenry. Police response was lackadaisical, at best. It was uncoordinated. Large groups were allowed to do the one thing that is easily enforceable and the enforcement against does the most to curtail out-of-control mob activities, block roadways. Keep people out of the roadway and it cuts them off from easy maneuver. While people have a right to protest, peacefully, they do not have any right to block roadways or otherwise interfere with the lawful day-to-day activities of the other members of the community. That is why the practice of issuing parade and demonstration permits has been held to be constitutional. When a group starts to gather, flying squads rush in and break up the gathering. People who do not leave immediately are arrested. This keeps the groups from becoming unmanageable. This is not rocket science. It has been tried and perfected over the last half century. Nit, for reasons best known to themselves, the leaders of major metropolitan areas refuse to follow the manual on mob crowd control.

In the discussion of sponsorship, it’s strange to me there hasn’t been more coverage of rioting/violence in San Francisco. There was little report I could find other than a pot shop was looted. Going easy on San Fran Nan’s district? Seems suspicious to me – unless I’ve just missed the coverage elsewhere?

Really? Almost no one wants to have a serious discussion on “police brutality”. None of these people, who are demonstrating, want a peaceful demonstration. And no one, possibly not even George Floyd’s family, care about “justice” for Floyd.
If people were really serious about discussing police brutality, then they would not spread the disinformation that it is wide spread and systemic. Why? Because all the statistics for the last 20 years belie that claim. In today’s parlance, “police brutality” is making an arrest to enforce exiting law. Police brutality is using any force to effect an arrest when a person resists a lawful arrest. And, the people who might want to “discuss” “police brutality” refuse to acknowledge any of this.
If these people wanted to demonstrate “peacefully”, they would not be blocking streets, aggravating LEOs and throwing things. They would file for a demonstration permit and hold it in a park or other area where they would not disrupt the lives of the rest of the citizenry. But, they do not do this. They want to disrupt other people’s lives and that is not “peaceful”.
If people wanted justice for Floyd, all that they had to do was to wait for the system to run its course. If Chauvin actually caused Floyd’s death, then this would have been shown, through multiple investigations, and appropriate criminal charges would have been filed and civil judgements rendered. But, that is not what the family, their attorney’s or the mob wanted. The family and their attorney’s wanted a big payday [which they are already getting with their $9 million GoFundMe account]. The Liberal Progressive mob wanted to feel good about themselves. And, the Progressives in the Democrat Party needed a distraction and another weapon against Trump.
This reaction is going to turn out to be exactly like the COVID reaction, total BS.
There are people out there peaceably demonstrating. They are getting the permits, marching in assigned areas, not otherwise blocking traffic or people from going about their business.
Don’t let the jack-a**es blind you to the people actually trying to keep this about police brutality.
Wrong. The number of groups which MAY actually be obtaining permits for demonstrations is so infinitesimal as to be invisible. Also, national statistics for the last 50 years have not only shown an overwhelming decline in police brutality, but over the last 20 years, the number of confirmed cases of police brutality, which do not meet the new definitions that I posted above, are also statistically zero.
The problem in this country is that the Progressives, including political leaders, educators, media, both news and entertainment, have been indoctrinating American to believe that there is “systemic” discrimination against minorities. However, with all if the affirmative action in place for “minorities” [except Asians] the only class of people, which is being systemically discriminated against, is white men.
We need to be talking about a staggering high rate of blacks killing each other. They are raising hell about so called police brutality, mostly in an effort to get a free pass commit crimes, while far more blacks are victims of their fellows.
