RNC Sets New Fundraising Records, Almost Tripling DNC Donations in July
“largest online fundraising July ever (1100% more than July 2016 and 1900% more than July 2015)”
According to the Republican National Committee, July was another banner fundraising month, making July their “best off-cycle July in party history.”
The RNC is reporting fundraising stats thusly:
We brought in $20.8 million in receipts in July (nearly 3 times that of the DNC). Cycle to date, the RNC has brought in $117.9 million. We also had our largest online fundraising July ever (1100% more than July 2016 and 1900% more than July 2015).
Across the aisle, the DNC continued to struggle to fundraise in July. Not only did they spend more than they raised, they’re mired in over $5.6 million in debt. Cycle to date, Chairwoman McDaniel has raised well over double that of DNC Chair Tom Perez.
More from the WaEx:
“Last month’s fundraising haul again smashed records, and we continue to directly invest this money into growing our top-notch data-driven infrastructure, recruiting and training thousands of new volunteers, and registering voters across the country,” said McDaniel.
“Our fundraising success is further evidence that the American people like the pro-growth agenda and economic record that the Trump administration and Republicans continue to deliver, and this puts us in a strong position to secure more Republican victories in 2020,” she added.
Of special note, said the party, the Republican National Committee has $46.6 million in the bank and no debt. And, it claimed, “the RNC has more than doubled the DNC’s fundraising and has no debt. Comparatively, the DNC carries nearly $6 million in debt.”
…
It has also seen online fundraising explode. According to one official, “it was 1,100% more than July 2016 and 1,900% more than July 2015. Year-to-date, we’ve raised more than double what we raised online in 2016 during the same time period.”
Great gains for the RNC, but it’s also worth keeping in mind that Democrats have a massive fundraising infrastructure, with candidates receiving hefty support from interest groups and unions, relying less heavily on the DNC.

Democrats doing what they do best: Spending other peoples’ money faster than they can rake it in.
Imagine, if you don’t spit at Americans, they’ll give you more money.
This is significant – it shows grassroots support for Trump. I went to a Trump rally in SC before the election, and you could feel the electricity in the crowd. Trump rally attendance and energy outflanked all Hillary rallies and Obama rallies; this led me to truly believe that Trump would take the 2016 election despite all polling indicating otherwise.
I agree. This is good news. It’s also the good news the size of the crowds that Trump is drawing at his various rallies. I keep seeing these 1:1 matchup polls showing that Trump would lose to Biden, Warren, etc., and I have to think that we’re seeing much of the same polling dynamic as happened in 2016, where people are just lying to the pollsters about whether they will vote for Trump. The only other explanation would be that Trump supporters are just rabid and giving money and attending rallies but there’s no support beyond that energized base. Nobody else seems to have that same energized support, however. So, I’m skeptical.
Maybe Trump supporters don’t like answering questions from strangers whose phone calls they regard as annoying.
Bingo
what makes you think the people are lying to the pollsters and not the pollsters lying to the people?
re: “…what makes you think the people are lying to the pollsters and not the pollsters lying to the people?”
Well, to start with, I never ever NEVER tell someone making a poll the truth. I always lie about who I support. Why? I was raised in a really small town and learned to hate town gossip, and that’s all a ‘political poll’ is…political gossip. I do my best to be sincere and believable while misdirecting.
The recent fox poll had a 49% democrat sample.
94% Democrat Party sample is more likely. Snark.
“Figures do not lie, but Pollsters do.”
I just knew it would happen! The RNC just realized the benefits of the New Green Deal by getting lots of green. 😀
I love winning
why is republicans getting more money good for the American people. the party that took control of government in the united states by promising to repeal Obamacare and then gave the finger to everyone that voted for them.
Money down the rino rathole.
What the GOP needs now is triple the automobile trunk space for found ballots late on election night.
This is good news, but all the money in the world isn’t going to help if the Republicans don’t sack up and stop the rampant vote fraud the Democrats are engaged in.
Especially when republicans sit on their asses or are too busy at cocktail parties to bother fighting for our country.
I am waiting for the campaign finance figures for each candidate including Trump.
What I as an interesting factor showing enthusiasm is that the President is raling in big bucks in liberal enclaves like California and Seattle. He is doing better then Biden or Warren or Bernie.
Money down a rathole.
It’d be better spent on individual candidates, not the likes of romney/kristol/murkowski/haley/The Mooch – which is what ‘flavor’ of the GOP is.
When Republicans actually repeal Obamacare, defund Premeditated Murderhood and cut welfare and food stamps and lower the national debt; I will donate to the RNC. Not a brass farthing until then.
