Where’s Becky? Occupy keeps missing girl’s disappearance under wraps

The disappearance of a 16-year-old minor named Becky, last seen with Occupy Chicago members, is being treated by Occupy internally with secrecy and without informing police, according to a report released yesterday from EAG News:

On June 19, a leader of Occupy Chicago contacted fellow travelers with this alert, titled “HELP: Missing Minor – Last Seen with Nemo.”

“Has anyone seen or heard from Nemo recently? He was last seen with a 16-year-old girl that came to GA [general assembly] last Saturday. Her mother is really worried. Any information on how to get in contact with him would be very, very helpful.”

Another wrote in response:

“It’s good to help these people find their kid, but from what I can tell we have no evidentiary basis for assuming that she is actually with Nemo. Please keep this in mind as you talk about cops being involved or before you imply anything about Nemo being ‘in big trouble’.”

Another wrote:

“*update* we talked to Nemo. Word is that she’s going to the rainbow gathering and is NOT with Nemo. From what Nemo said last time he saw her was sat.

Search is still on to connect Becky with her mother.”

Occupy Chicago, which has already showed its disdain for law enforcement at its recent “F** the Police” march, has not placed any information about the missing girl on its website or twitter feed. It is perplexing that with the news of a missing minor, Occupy would decline to place information about her on their website. Rebel Pundit reports:

Occupy Chicago appears to be engaged in its own missing person investigation. It’s really no surprise, considering members’ disdain for law enforcement authorities. During NATO protests in Chicago, Occupy Chicago adopted the “Chicago Principles,” a code of conduct that prohibited “snitching” on other members and organizations aligned with their radical movement. And reportedly, some in the group are abiding by these “principles” to the letter…Behavior like this is no different than an organized crime syndicate. Someone goes missing; go to person x, person y, and person z, but don’t go to the police. You never want to attract unwanted police attention when you are doing something wrong.

It is unclear if Becky, whose mother has been in contact with Occupy in order to determine her daughter’s whereabouts, was abducted or ran away. What is clear is that Occupy Chicago is prioritizing other concerns over helping Becky’s mother locate her missing daughter.

Why would criminals contact the police about anything, except maybe to find out if one of their own might be in custody? “Occupy” equates to “Criminal”. No need to sugar-coat it. They are thieves and crooks. They adopted the aptly named “Chicago Principles” to further their own criminal conspiracies. Of course they would protect their own. “Becky” had the misfortune of being a newcomer, and thus likely was considered more of a commodity then a comrade. Hope she is well, but suspect she is not.

What does the CPD have to say? Are they looking into this? CPD equates to Criminal. Just ask Larry Sinclaire.

Actually, ‘the Chicago way’ is not to eschew the police, but rather to bribe the police. You gotta pay to play, baby. If Occupy wants to be a serious gang it needs to learn these things. Now get out there and bribe somebody.

OWS is…like other extreme iterations of Collectivism…a machine that will grind individual people in the gears of the “greater good”.

Quite willingly, and quite self-consciously.

They don’t get that 1984 is not a manual.

Absolutely nothing good ever comes from a situation like this. They’re obviously not serious about finding her. What is her last name? Does anyone even know her last name? Have her parents filed a missing person report? Where are her parents? If she is a habitual runaway, whether from home or another setting, she would be known to some alleged authority figure, even if it is only Chicago DCFS (which is its own nightmare).

She is not the only young woman missing. I followed the links and there is a 19-year-old named Stevie Bates who went missing.

The ocupado-types who don’t care about these kids are no better than Penn State officials who covered for Jerry Sandusky.

Why involve the police when Sharia Law can handle it?

Not being a lawyer, but being retired LEO, I would appreciate any commentary from the Professor on the concepts of:

Assuming that harm has come to the minor child and/or Stevie Bates;

1) Obstruction of Justice
2) Principle Accessory to a felony
3) Although it is obsolete in practice, the Mann Act. Knowing that the Mann Act is Federal, and the #Occupy movement is a branch of the regime; I do not even vaguely believe that the Federales would ever charge or even investigate #Occupy for any Federal crime, but for the sake of being thorough.

Where’s Becky? If she’s not a runaway, I’d check the landfill. After 10 days all of the dumpsters in the area have been emptied.
Even from that pic you can tell she was pretty. Pretty 16 year olds that disappear tend to end up in dumpsters or vacant lots.

Wow. I never could understand drawing a comparison between the OWS and the Tea Party before.

It’s simple. The TEA Party body count is ZERO. The OWS body count is zero, also. That’s because they can’t find any bodies. OWS has hidden them very well.

I didn’t see that anyone had mentioned this yet, so I’ll go ahead and do it: why the heck is the mother bothering with the Occupiers and not going straight to the police herself? When the Occupiers couldn’t immediately locate her daughter, that should have been her first step. Am I missing something here? Is her mother a clueless moonbat?

    I had the same thoughts.

Henry Hawkins in reply to MWR. | June 26, 2012 at 5:42 pm

Becky might be a chronic runaway.

Without jumping to too many conclusions, I also wondered if that might be an indication of where the poor girl developed such poor decision making capabilities she thought heading off by herself to an OWS activity was a dynamite idea.

I had similar thoughts. I don’t give a rat’s rump about Occupy [anything], but it’s the parent’s job to worry about and try to find the missing girl. If the parents are dumb enough to pass the job on to the Occupiers instead of law enforcement, I suppose that’s their choice.

The folks at Occupy Chicago are trying to find a girl who showed up at their event. Good for them. They’re not legally required, nor should they be expected, to serve as mommy and daddy of every person that shows up at events.

Why is everyone worrying? NEMO said she’s okay and he wouldn’t lie. [sarcasm off]

I have to ask where the MSM is on this? Missing persons cases are always big news.

Guess Occupy Stupidity in Chicago was too busy taunting police to set up a rape tent where young women could seek refuge from the many predators who flock to Occupy sites.

all I can think of no wis Michelle Malkins neice 🙁

    * now is * I mean

Yeah, me too. Unfortunately for them about 110% of adolescent girls believe in their heart of hearts they “know what they’re doing” as they venture out among strangers. A percentage just slightly higher, btw, than the drunk hobos who consider passing out on railroad tracks a preferred method of avoiding snakes.

Not to make light, and admittedly this is anecdotal evidence, but I have passed out on railraod tracks at least a dozen times and never once got bit by a snake.
