on life from Bill Whittle included in the video tribute to Andrew Bretibart I linked to this morning, and from “Jim Treacher” of The Daily Caller:
I admired him more than I can say, and my heart goes out to him and his loved ones. But this 21st-Century always-online Facebook/Twitter/iPhone lifestyle, for all its wonders and all its capabilities, must be lived with a sense of caution. You need to be able to step away from it. You need to be able to decompress. You need to be able to say, “Oh well, I guess that dickhead will just go on being a dickhead for another day without me.”
From tech guru Kim Komando on demands from liberals that she drop advertisers who advertise with Rush or other conservatives, or that she speak out:
We are not a part of the Rush Limbaugh controversy and we will continue to make the best decisions for our program and for whom we advertise regardless of the politics involved.
From Randall Hoven:
From “Ekulf Ardnes“:
Sandra, your rights do not extend to anything that someone else has to pay for. The vast majority of us will gladly keep our hands out of your uterus if you keep your hands out of our wallets.
As for me, the wife’s been away for awhile and the house needs to be put back in shape, or else, so I’ll give myself some good advice, and start cleaning. Or else.

So damned glad that I didn’t decide to hook up with Carbonite for backing up my PC and went with Mozyhome instead. Yeah, posted a very polite note on Carbonite’s Facebook page expressing my severe disdain for its decision to withdraw from Rush’s show.
Still, the Buycott / Boycott theater of the ridiculous will continue for a while. Not everyone can handle using Breitbart’s style of telling off those Socialist idiots yet we need to try. Just maybe, on rare occasions, we need to tell them, those Socialists, Buzz off or just maybe F*%$ Off’ but with a smile on our faces!
I got a reply from my email to Carbonite. (I basically stole a line from someone here about choosing a better role model than Fluke for Dave’s girls, how they never batted an eyelash about Ed Schultz when Laura never so much as asked him for a condom, and how I would be teaching people how to back up their own systems).
Here it is!
________________________
Hello,
I have received so many emails concerning Rush Limbaugh that I can’t possibly respond to each one of you individually, but I appreciate your many heartfelt and eloquent comments.
On Saturday night I issued the following statement:
Statement from David Friend, CEO of Carbonite
“No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke — and I have two — could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have also withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.”
To our customers among you, I thank you for your continued support. We would really appreciate anything you can do to help us get the Carbonite word out there. If you have friends whose computers are not backed up, please tell them about Carbonite. There’s always a free trial at http://www.carbonite.com. Please suggest that they take advantage of my temporary Offer Code “DAVID” to obtain two months free when they sign up for a subscription as my way of saying thanks.
Warm regards,
Dave
Clearly they didn’t ready your email and they don’t care what you had to say.
I suppose they will begin to notice as the subscriber count starts to drop.
I have daughters. And I hope my daughters have more sense than to do what Mz. Fluke did. Shamelessly flaunting promiscuity in front of the Congress and the nation is hardly the values I am trying to impart to my children. Certainly, no rational parent can have so low hopes for their children…
I remember when my brother was getting ready to leave home to enter boot camp (he had joined the Navy). My father was not a wealthy man by any stretch, yet he managed to support his family. I remember him telling my brother “I don’t have much to give you, except my good name. I hope you will respect it by your actions so that when you pass it on, it will be as good as when you were given it.”
That stuck with me that no matter our lot in life, we can always maintain our honor and dignity. Sandra Fluke took the name her father gave her and sullied it. And for that, shame on her.
A University of Texas A&M wrote a book about welfare and how we steal from each other via the welfare system. He pointed out that there are all kinds of income; income paid in hard currency and “in-kind” income paid in the currency of benefits (welfare, etc). Sandra Fluke, and the rest of her feminazi friends, want to be paid in the currency of “in-kind” contributions. What does that make them?
Seems to be that Rush Limbaugh has nothing to apologize for. And as to Mr. Friend, when he pulls Carbonite’s advertising from far left wingers like Ed Schultz, I will give he some credibility. Until then……………….
A more likely explanation than “they didn’t read your email or care what you had to say” is that they were getting a few thousand emails and phone calls an hour.
Hard to believe you folks are really going with that “anyone who uses birth control is a slut” idea. Especially since Ms. Fluke’s testimony was about how birth control pills also help with a host of other women’s health issues besides pregnancy prevention.
But you go ahead and run with the “any woman who uses birth control is a slut” idea from 1955.
Gonna be a fun election beating you over the head with that till November.
Patriot you missed the point. The point is that people with good sense and good morals should refrain from extra- and pre-marital sex. To engage in such activities is to provide evidence of lacking in ones moral character. Further, to flaunt that, is to condemn oneself. It isn’t about using birth control. It is about promiscuous behavior, and who is going to pay for it.
Maybe you did that deliberately, like my Democratic Senator. This isn’t about the right to access or use birth control, or the right to have an abortion, it is about who is going to pay for it.
Birth control pills are used for other female problems because those pills are readily available. No one is suggesting that if a woman has, for example, an ovarian cyst, that insurance wouldn’t pay for it. In fact, I’m sure the Catholic Church would understand the use of oral contraceptives, if the intended use was something medically necessary, other than contraception.
Interesting. You’re thick, either accidentally or intentionally, and that is what you accuse others of being. Very curious.
“The point is that people with good sense and good morals should refrain from extra- and pre-marital sex.”
Nah….it’s just sex. Nothing wrong with it. Perfectly natural thing that humans do all the time. It’s time for you to realize that the 1950s are long past. You’ve already fought (and lost) that battle. Time to move into the modern world, where the rest of us already live. Sex is a good, healthy thing that consenting adults enjoy. And like it or not, it’s something that teenagers enjoy as well.
Far cheaper in the long run to cover birth control pills now than to pay the much greater cost of a bunch of unwanted kids later.
Excellent use of taxpayer dollars, and if the insurance companies can afford to pay their executives millions, they can afford to cover birth control pills.
Obviously you seem to think that todays morals and standards are so much better, and make a better society, than in 1955.
1955, when young adults were expected to marry before they started having kids. 1955, when moms didn’t work and stayed home with their kids, being at the door when the kids got home from school. 1955, when men didn’t think it was honorable to have kids with numerous women they had no intention of supporting. 1955, when people didn’t expect the government to take care of them, but were willing to work for a better life for themselves and their kids, even if it meant having two jobs. 1955, when people still felt obligated to pay their bills and not run up massive debt. 1955, when veterans were given the honor they deserved, and it was cool to be patriotic and love this nation.
Yeah, things are so much better now, aren’t they?
You might want to ask women, black people, gay people, etc. how much better it was in 1955.
Leave it to Beaver was a television show, amigo.
The US teen pregnancy rate and the rate of people infected with syphilis both peaked in 1958. Back then people had to get blood tested before marriage to check for syphilis and military members had to stand in regular “short-arm” inspections to check for STDs.
Patriot, so you think that we should ask women, black people, gays, ect. how much better it was in 1955?
Do you mean in the days before Gloria Steinham, and her band of angry lesbians, convinced women that staying at home, raising children, being able to multi-task in ways that men were not capable of, helping their children with homework and cooking healthy meals for them was a sorry waste of their time? Yeah, there are much greater things that raising happy, well adjusted children, right?
Black? You mean back when black families taught there children that they, too, could be a success, before they were convinced by the left that they were too stupid to make it on their own and they need to have entrance exams for jobs like police and fire departments dumbed down for them? When people like Thomas Sowell and Colin Powell were attending universities before their was such a thing as “affirmative action” because they are smart, not black. Oh, and Barack Obama’s father was in college in 1955. Maybe you better look at African-Americans that came out of the ’50’s; Colin Powell, Larry Elder, Thomas Sowell, Shelby Steele, Walter Williams, Clarence Thomas, the list is endless of African-Americans who proved their brains were as good as anyones and made it on their own without the goverment demanding that we dumb down our society to suit them. I am constantly amazed that African-Americans are not insulted knowing the government thinks they are too stupid to compete. By 1955, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has already earned two degrees; sociology and divinity. In 1955, black Americans were more religious than their white counterparts, had stronger families, fewer unwed mothers, were not aborting their next generation. Yeah, they’ve come a long way, baby.
Gays, well, I guess you think things are so much better for them now that they can parade down the streets of San Francisco during the Folsom Street Parade naked, giving “fisting” seminars on public streets. Nothing like improving your public image by being an exhibitionist, is there?
Ect.? Who is the etc?
Patriot, are you stupid and a troll or just a troll or just stupid? Those are the most generous options. NO ONE is making the case you allege. Ms. Fluke, the SLUT in question, is being called a slut because she stated that she “is going broke paying for birth control.” People that are on the pill can get it from Target for nine bucks a month. Since the pill doesn’t prevent STD’s, maybe she’s supplementing the pill with condoms, but you can get 100 top-notch condoms from Amazon for forty bucks. Given that, it boggles the mind to imagine how much sex Ms. Fluke must be having to be going broke when she could be using 200 condoms and be on the pill too for under $100 a month. Slut seems to be the best word. Or liar.
Ms. Fluke DID NOT say she “is going broke paying for birth control.”
The rest of your argument fails accordingly.
http://www.whatthefolly.com/2012/02/23/transcript-sandra-fluke-testifies-on-why-women-should-be-allowed-access-to-contraception-and-reproductive-health-care/
You seem to think that “having more sex=taking more pills” but that’s not how it works.
Not sure what century you are living in.
A pill a day works as birth control, whether you have hardly any sex or tons of it.
The discussion of “how much sex” this woman is having is something created entirely by Rush, and I hope she sues him for his disgusting trashing of her.
For sure it will be a “Rush=GOP=Woman-haters” issue in the election.
The GOP candidates have all dodged commenting on Rush….real profiles in courage, that bunch. The GOP is afraid of their own star.
However, birth control has preventative medical benefits beyond just preventing pregnancy, and how much or how little sex anybody is having is none of your business and never was.
‘Slut’ indeed. Put a sock in it, pal. Other people’s sex lives are none of your business, Mr. Busybody.
This was never about contraception. It was about religious freedoms, but we fell into the trap when you Marxists managed to reframe the argument. I am surprised Rush took the bait, but, he did. The 20% of the population you represent may have won this battle, but we will win the war.
Andrew Breitbart ~War
I’m the mother of a thirty year old female attorney.
Ms. Fluke has intentionally damaged the reputations of the women of Georgetown Law school, for her own self-aggrandizement.
Women in the legal community have spent decades, proving to professors, law firms and clients that they are professionally competent, and that their gender should NEVER be a consideration in evaluating their abilities. With one stroke, Ms. Fluke has characterized the women of Georgetown Law school as mere sex objects, who engage in promiscuous sexual behavior, without taking responsibility for their actions.
It is not Ms. Fluke whose reputation has been sullied, it is every woman at Georgetown Law.
Common sense says that if female lawyers are sexually active then male lawyers will be aware of it.
How come nobody worries about the sexual promiscuity of male law students?
Because right now there aren’t any male law students demanding the Catholic church pay for their birth control.
There aren’t any female law students asking for that either.
What they are asking for is for contraception be covered by the insurance plans THEY PAY premiums on. Just like Viagra is covered.
Common sense says that if they keep their legs closed they don’t need to worry about pregnancy or STD’s. Play the anti-morals card all you want but that is scientific fact. You idiots do still claim to be pro-science, or is that just when it is convenient for you?
Furthermore retard, erectile dysfunction is a health issue hence the reason Viagra may or may not be covered. Your moronic argument fails accordingly.
What business is it of yours what they do with their legs?
erectile dysfunction is a health issue
So is contraception.
And it’s not Rush :Limbaugh who sullied it – it is little miss Democrat Operative @sandrafluke.
Her little spiel is an insult to women with REAL health issues, breast cancer, and ovarian cancers, hormone therapy and the. Life-threatening in some cases, and expensive treatments.
Every lowly teenager since the 70s has knows how to get “Contraceptives” – go to the clinic, fill out some forms, see a doc, get a prescription and or outright free product plus a note to get you back into class. Every woman who has been to a clinic knows you have to fill out forms so the clinic gets ‘credit’ for serving low-income women.
This whole thing is bogus and manufactured, which is why the ONLY QUESTION that matters is ‘What did George Stephanopolous know and when did he know it?’
Who did he meet with> Who gave him the meme? Who else was in the meeting? Who called the meeting and where was it held? Whose agenda is this? What’s next in the arsenal? Another “Fluke’?
Whoever answers that question wins a Pulitzer, Guaranteed.
[…] Over at Legal Insurrection, Prof. Jacobson quotes Jim Treacher, who reminds us that we have to remember an essential truth: Life is much bigger than politics. It’s easy to forget that, sometimes, when it seems that the news, Facebook, and Twitter are only too happy to present us with the political agon 24/7. And because we spend so much time hearing about those games, it’s easy to be duped into believing that’s all there is. Of course, that’s where fanatics come from, but what’s more, I think it’s another kind of totalitarianism. […]

Dan suggests that Mr. Friend was a Collectivist from way back.
Check it out.
There’s one advantage of being a bachelor, Professor Jacobson. It’s cute when I live in a messy home.
A more appropriate template for an apology to Ms. Fluke, courtesy of the movie “The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean”:
Judge Roy Bean: [Bean apologizes to the marshals’ wives]I understand you have taken exception to my calling you whores. I’m sorry. I apologize. I ask you to note that I did not call you callous-ass strumpets, fornicatresses, or low-born gutter sluts. But I did say “whores.” No escaping that. And for that slip of the tongue, I apologize.
He should’ve been back by now.
How many times is he going to clean the house?
Either he’s a real slob … Oscar Madison type … or the house must be huge!! Maybe we’re talking the top 1% of the top 1%
Maybe he’s a slob living in a huge house. Poor Mrs. Jacobson.
I’m back. Got lost somewhere between the dishwasher and the broom closet.
Beautiful floor! However, I never did believe in the “you could eat off of it” principle!
What is a “dishwasher”?
“Update: Is that a shine, or what? Don’t say I never did anything for you, honey. (No flashes were harmed in the taking of this photo.)”
Okay. This is like the time I was talking with my wife about the sudden popularity with women in Hollywood adopting babies … almost like it was a competition.
We were talking about Angelina Jolie and I said it was admirable someone like her would spend all that time taking care of the kids … changing diapers and feeding them, etc.
My wife looked at me and said, “Are you stupid? Do you really think she does that? The nannies do all the hard work and she just has her picture taken with the kids.”
Professor … are we really supposed to believe you cleaned that floor yourself? You made it shine like that? By yourself? With no help? I don’t want to be called stupid again.
I’m compelled to ask, how often does your wife call you stupid? Or did it happen just that one time? 😉
By the way, I’m not calling you stupid, far from it. I quite enjoy your posts. Just found this admission amusing. You really bring to life your family through your posts.
How many times a day?
I can’t count that high 🙂
Well, she’s smarter than me in the day-to-day living kinda stuff.
I’m smarter in the academic, bookish kinda stuff.
Sounds like my husband and me, except I am book smart and he is everyday smart.
I’m getting a little tired of the pious lectures about “stepping back” from the perpetual fight with the Left. Likewise with the fussy conservatives who mediate their appreciation with Breitbart by saying such things “he could often take things too far.” What Breitbart did was exactly what he wanted to do, what no one had done before and what these half-ass armchair warriors never dared to do. It was always Breitbart’s choice; it was who he was. Too far? Breitbart violated the false lines of truce that the Left never observed anyway but these clowns would have gone on respecting until the Left owned the world.
Update: Is that a shine, or what? Don’t say I never did anything for you, honey. (No flashes were harmed in the taking of this photo.)
Whoa! As a former active duty Marine NCO, I can testify that that is a floor.
BTW, Professor, my better half is going to be out of town for a few days next month, so I’m going to be facing more or less facing the same problem you had. You don’t happen to have a rate card available, do you?
I’m pretty sure that image was taken from Google.
It’s always nice to know the good Prof has a fall back in case this law school thing doesn’t work out for him. Of course he would probably have to become a member of the SEIU and watch part of the money he earns and sends in as union dues go to support Democrats, but hey Nancy Pelosi would be grateful.
Hell, she might even give him a job if her undocumented domestic help decide to quit.
Ok, you cleaned the floor and documented it. DO NOT tell her to write it down.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAVHe9lF_W4
You are a good husband, Professor.
Mine cleans around the house, too. Unfortunately, he is down with what I think is a nasty flu, and I’m coughing a bit myself. My hope is that my children don’t get it. One of them needs to go to preschool tomorrow.
Very nice job on the floor, well done!

Nice work. Thanks.
Thanks for this list. I ordered flowers and a birthday cake on Friday for my daughter and made sure that they knew the only reason I was ordering from ProFlowers was to support Rush. I am in the process of trying to CANCEL the order and needed other options. Thanks again.
I’ve just cancelled $150 +/- of orders on ProFlowers! Felt really good!
YOUR floor looks great.
Elsewhere we will soon be able to see the splendiferous floors of the Kremlin with Putins crowning.
Yep there was an election in a country that covers 1/6 of the earth’s land mass.
I was housesitting this week & had access to Cable . Nowhere was this covered in American news / discussions . Nor online.
FHS. How can America prosper globally with such such an attiude?
Just watched Angelina … if she can jump out of a helicopter to save us from commies 🙂 … we can be inspired to mock some of the inanity of the left’s phony outrage at Rush.
I see quick paced cuts of “Palin is a ***” quotes (or others), followed with feigned outrage by smug pundits over Rush saying “slut”.
It may be important to stay on message about jobs, debt, oil and more, but if the left’s theme is to attack Rush, they should be mocked for their hypocrisy, and for their lack of any message except hate.
Don’t see the need to bring in Palin . Limbough never much defended her .

I’m sure the professor’s wife takes very good care of him when she’s around. How else would the great professor ever have time for all his entertaining and insightful blog posts. Welcome back Mrs.
legalinsurrection!
Does anyone else sense that the framework for this FAUX OUTRAGE were already in place? Rush just happened to be the one who stepped into it (and I’m sure the Left has had their email/twitter/facebook brigade in place to go after Rush and others at a moment’s notice).
This is very like the tactic used on the Komen Foundation- just a distinction without a difference.
The beginning of the CON was Stephanopolous’ question to Romney. Each domino was carefully placed and expertly knocked over at jut the right time. Since Ms. Fluke has been pursuing Georgetown’s policy of not covering contraception and abortion for the past THREE YEARS, and since she went to G’town PRECISELY to confront this issue, I am certain that her “patron” (whomever that may be in the feminist brownshirt brigade) has just had Ms. Fluke waiting for her “close up.”
So she went to school three years ago to prepare to confront something that hasn’t even been an issue since the EEOC ruling from 12 years ago.
That makes a lot of sense.
Georgetown’s insurance policy, OFFERED to students, has never offered coverage for contraception, sterilization or abortion. She has been agitating for to change the coverage for three years. Three years ago, Obamacare was shoved down our throats- the bill was in process BEFORE Obama won the election. If Obama hadn’t been elected, they would just have waited for the next Democrat president.
Obamacare is the Left’s way of regulating every aspect of life in the United States- and we all know it.
Watch Stossel’s recent show on governmental regulations and how they interfere with, and oftentimes destroy, people’s lives and their exercise of their “unalienable” rights.
I went to Rush’s Tea website and bought 2 cases. My way of supporting Rush and telling these hypocrites to take it and shove it!
http://www.twoifbytea.com
This is not about women being called names. This is about the far left attacking Rush, wanting to destroy Rush, by controlling the topic of discussion about Rush, and not about anything else. What else is new, because they, the far left, will never admit the same against anyone in their ranks like Bill Maher. Their hypocrisy is astronomically astounding, but since when have liberals ever cared about being hypocritical, as they have no shame or conscience, no integrity, no honor, no credibility, no respect, and so on, to have such a character trait.
There is only one way to deal with liberals, from any side of the political spectrum, and that is to just defeat them, period.
No one understood this better than Andrew Breitbart.
Andrew Breitbart understood how dangerous the radical far left is, along with the liberal GOP RINO Republicans, as they can be just as dangerous when they undermine the Conservative righteous cause of Individual Freedom and Liberty every step of the way, at every turn from within.
The far left agenda is not just one of a political party difference of opinion, it is their radical saul alinsky tactics of extreme hatred and vile intolerance for anyone who dared to question, let alone challenge them and their methods, for which they then use their favorite saul alinsky tactics straight from his book rules for radicals, to intimidate, threaten, denigrate, humiliate, demoralize, mock, insult, and polarize, which work all to well, especially when the leftwing media apparatus complex conspires and coordinates these attacks. And Andrew knew they did so not just against the conservative Republicans, but they did so against the American People, Freedom, Liberty, Justice, and the US Constitution, which is their ultimate goal, to bring down America as a Constitutional Republic, any way and means they can, where they can, how they can.
Anyone who ever tries these tactics on anyone, for political ideological reasons, or any reasons, are the enemy of Freedom, Liberty, and Justice, period, and Andrew knew exactly what they were doing, were all about, and went after them with a passion not seen by anyone in conservative circles. That is why he was fearless, like a lion going into the liberal lions den, and beat them back, and that is why they, the left, hated Andrew, which is why Andrew loved it, as he knew he was on target when they spewed vitriolic hatred at him.
In the military, when you aren’t getting flack, your not on target, which is where Andrew was, right on target.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
I am a liberal. You give me Rush and I’ll give you Maher, Letterman, Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz. They are all vile misogynist pigs.
We should feel sorry for you? You bought it you own it chief.
WTF?
“ever cared about being hypocritical, as they have no shame or conscience, no integrity, no honor, no credibility, no respect, and so on, to have such a character trait.”
Hmmm…sounds like you’re talking about a certain bloviating gasbag junkie with a big radio show who needs Viagra, takes sex trips to the Caribbean, and goes through wives the way most people go through used cars.
Hypocrite.
No honor.
No shame.
No conscience.
No integrity.
No credibility.
No respect.
Yep, he definitely fits the bill perfectly.
Rush Limbaugh’s flubs, flaws, weaknesses do not magically transform Obama, Pelosi and Fluke and their goals into right and good.
Government does not have the right to violate Christian conscience and religious freedom.
Moreover, the government can’t afford to enable high risk behavior and immorality. Contraception and condoms do not prevent diseases or pregnancy.
AIDS treatment costs $600,000. per patient. Other STDs don’t kill, but they don’t ever go away, requiring lifelong treatment. Emotional problems, addictions, breast cancer and other negative consequences of the recreational sex lifestyle and abortion result and require expensive treatment and loss of employment and work time as well.
Abstinence, non-sexual relationships are safer, healthier and in the long run, happier, closer, more respectful.
The floor looks amazing.
It begins at home. You know your priorities, professor.
The political fencing can wait until tomorrow.
Just another guy from the neighborhood? Let the vetting begin!
And yes we absolutely need to support Rush and punish advertisers who drop him.
so did you clean the floor “for” your wife because you know that she loves a clean floor while you are more of a dirty-floor-lovin’ kind of guy or because it’s ‘women’s work’ and you stooped to doing it so you deserve a pat on the back for taking care of any household chores?
‘Patriot’ you misplaced your humanity somewhere along the way. Sex is not inconsequential, even with abortion, contraception and treatment for diseases…and those consequences can’t be avoided.
Empty. Meaningless. Dissolute.
These are the words for the lifestyle you espouse.
Here’s how I see it:
1. In 2008 Rush openly supported Romney in the Primary. But in 2012 Rush won’t tell us who he supports. Yet, there are two strong conservatives in the race. Why not endorse one?
2. In that same year, 2008, Bain Capital bought the parent company of Clear Channel and took it private. They own hundreds of radio stations and syndicate to thousands of affiliate stations. Romney’s company, what a coincidence.
3. Premiere Radio Networks which is owned by Clear Channel hosts Rush’s program. I’m guessing, but Rush’s program would probably be hurting without Clear Channel & Premiere, right?
4. Rush attacked Newt’s ads against Romney and Bain, IMO misrepresenting his ads against Mitt about crony capitalism and blowing them way out of proportion. RINOs also attack Newt for the same thing, what a coincidence. Newt drops in polls.
5. Rush takes the weakest guy in the race, Rick, and starts building him up but doesn’t endorse him. He mostly ignores Newt altogether, basically doing the same thing the MSM was doing to Newt, what a coincidence.
6. Then Rush appears to embrace social issues, but IMO continually goes over the top and leaves the Conservatives, Rick and Newt to face the media frenzy while Mitt is unscathed by it. (Newt, to his credit handles it very well, Rick, as expected, not so much.) Rick starts dropping in the polls. What a coincidence.
7. With real conservatives in the race this year, Rush wouldn’t have much credibility with his conservative audience IMO if he supported Mitt outwardly would he? And besides, Mitt will need someone with credibility to drive the Conservatives into Mitt’s camp should he win the primaries. There is no one who could do that better than Rush, right?
A few advertisers mean nothing. Premiere and Clear Channel have made clear they have no intention of dropping Rush – so Rush will survive quite well.
When I think I’m being played, I take a pass on it.
