St. Louis Woman’s Message to #BlackLivesMatter Goes Viral

Tough love.

Missouri woman Peggy Hubbard has had enough. Following an incident in St. Louis involving a young black man and the police, she made a video message for #BlackLivesMatter and it has gone viral.

Dave Urbanski of The Blaze:

Black mother Peggy Hubbard notes on her Facebook page that she’s from St. Louis.

And even though she now lives north of the area’s racial turmoil, watching and listening to Hubbard’s profane-but-precise video takedown of Black Lives Matter protesters is to witness a woman who loves her hometown and hates the choices some people are making there.

First Hubbard contrasted how the Black Lives Matter contingent reacted when a 9-year-old girl was fatally shot doing homework on her mother’s bed and the next night when an 18-year-old was fatally shot by police who said he pointed a gun at them.

Then she asked, “Last night, who do you think they protested for? The thug. The criminal.”

Then Hubbard let loose.

“You say black lives matter?” she asked before bringing the little girl back into the argument. “Her life mattered. Her dreams mattered. Her future mattered. Her promises mattered. It mattered.”

Noting how she turned in her own son who’s now doing time, Hubbard defended police who are a main target of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Here’s the video. Language warning, lots of curse words.

Hubbard is making the same point that AACONS made in a recent post on this site.

Dr. Ben Carson also recently wrote about #BlackLivesMatter in a column for USA Today:

Ben Carson: #BlackLivesMatter misfire

The idea that disrupting and protesting Bernie Sanders speeches will change what is wrong in America is lunacy. The “BlackLivesMatter” movement is focused on the wrong targets, to the detriment of blacks who would like to see real change and to the benefit of its powerful white liberal funders using the attacks on Sanders for political purposes that mean nothing for the problems that face our community.

The notion that some lives might matter less than others is meant to enrage. That anger is distracting us from what matters most. We’re right to be angry, but we have to stay smart.

Of course, the protesters are right that racial policing issues exist and some rotten policemen took actions that killed innocent people. Those actions were inexcusable and they should be prosecuted to deter such acts in the future.

Last night, Carson discussed his column and the issues it addressed with Megyn Kelly:

Great guy…he belongs somewhere in America’s future going forward…I’m just not sure where yet.

21 mo boy killed today. They won’t protest his death either.

I agree 98% with this lady.

However, if I dared to use her exact same words, I would most likely get fired from my job, I would not be able to find another job, and my family would be hurt.

And I am not even white !!

This is what America has become. In only 6 years!

Hubbard leads the charge against racial prejudice.

I wonder about supposed racial differences.

There isn’t a word that came out of my mouth that I didn’t hear from my parents.

Especially the part where she talks about working to provide her kids with an education.

After 20 years in the Navy the easiest thing I could do would be to use profanity. I try not to do so, although to be fair sometimes it is useful.

My parents paid for an education. I have a vocabulary, I intend to use it. Thanks to Mom and Dad.

I took my kids to a private elementary school, which had a very racially mixed population. We would laugh amongst ourselves, because we found out we were all saying the same things to our kids!

Parents who want to raise their kids right have the very same conversations with their children.

There isn’t a word that came out of HER mouth.

I think my computer is on its last legs.

Mike Vanderboegh spilled a moment of truth in a thrift store that included, but is not limited to, this gem:

The ghost of every Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan and every wanna-be Neo-Nazi fuhrer who ever lived laughs like hell every morning when the abortion clinics open for business in your neighborhoods. They love white people killing black babies (and most abortionists are white) and they love black kids killing other black kids. Hell, y’all are putting ALL the lynchings of the Klan throughout history in the deep shade and you’re giving the Holocaust a run for its money (and here I raised my voice for the first time) — AND YOU’RE DOING IT ALL TO YOURSELVES.

Emphasis in original. The people thoroughly engrossed in the “#BlackLivesMatter” mindset are more destructive to their own communities than the KKK could ever dream.

Blunt, direct and forceful. This woman knows that you can’t dance with the devil and not get burned.

Every morning before I go to work I turn on the Chicago News for the weather report.

What I typically hear first is that there have been several shootings on the near west and south sides of Chicago. Usually there is at least one killing involved as well. Young and old alike are gunned down by drive-by shooters.

These shootings are gang violence and black on black violence-blunt, direct, deadly and, as I said, daily.

We are reaping what has been sown: a dystopian culture of violence and lawlessness under the Progressive “Hope and Change” recidivist continuum: “Hope” to get out of jail soon and a “Change” to another stolen weapon.

Perhaps implied by Ms. Hubbard, these thugs know exactly how to use (mack daddy) Obama, Shaprton, Eric Holder, Jesse Jackson-all the progenitors of the “ghetto welfare scapegoat system”- for their Lord of the Flies ‘survival’.

No lessons learned by Progressives. None. They, in fact, seek re-election as if nothing happened in their district or state.

More to the point, amoral centralized top down government creates nihilism, infantilism, desolation (see Detroit and Baltimore), hopelessness and night terrors for little black girls doing their homework in their bedroom.

Your life matters? Act like it matters.

Don’t you be wandering off the plantation there sister or they’ll be taking you down as an Auntie Tom.

Don’t like the language? She isn’t speaking to you….she is speaking to a certain black audience in language they understand.

In a subsequent video, she apologizes for the language and says that’s not what her mother taught her. She has several newer videos on her Facebook page. She has been in the national news and interviewed on CNN and elsewhere. This video is six days old.

To this Brave and Heartfilled Mom. As a strong and faithful woman myself I can only say Thank You. You are obviously a wise and loving person and not likely to be recognized for your goodness in this life. I see you, I recognize you, I thank you. My children thank you and I am certain you have made a positive impact on this world.
