Five Deaths Near Michigan State University Raise Fears of a Possible Serial Killer

Very creepy news. These deaths have all occurred during the past year.

NewsNation reports:

Deaths near Michigan State University campus spark concerns of serial killer

Police in Michigan are investigating a series of deaths over the past year that all happened along the same public path near Michigan State University, determining whether the crimes are related.

MSU criminal justice professor Karen Holt says she’s urging students to be cautious but also mindful of vulnerable populations amid reports all of the victims were experiencing homelessness.

“We’ve been having a lot of conversations about how we keep our community safer and how do we make sure that the most vulnerable individuals in our society are not prey to predators,” Holt told NewsNation.

The Lansing Police Department has been investigating the deaths along the Lansing River Trail, a 20-mile public trail that runs through Lansing and East Lansing, near the MSU campus.

Officials said they haven’t ruled out the possibility the five deaths — four of which have been deemed homicides — could be the work of a serial killer.

“It’s a wooded area in the middle of the night against people who are sleeping and who are homeless,” said Holt. “So definitely we are seeing a pattern in terms of the injuries sustained and who the victims are. But at this point, we don’t have a lot of data in terms of theorizing about the suspect or motive.”

“Experiencing homelessness.” SMH.

So, there’s not a glimmer of a suspicion that the perp may be :”experiencing homelessness” themself?
