DOJ Charges Comey With Transmitting National Defense Information

The news comes a few hours after a judge ruled that the DOJ illegally fired his daughter Maurene Comey.

The Department of Justice has charged former FBI Director James Comey with transmitting national defense information to an unauthorized person and conspiring to spread it.

The charges fall under 18 U.S.C. § 793, which is known as the U.S. Espionage Act:

18 U.S. Code § 793(d):

The DOJ filed the charges on October 5.

The charges stem from alleged actions on October 4 and 5, 2016:

  • 18 U.S. Code § 793(d) – On or about October 5, 2016, Comey allegedly had possession of material related to national defense and “having reason to believe such information” could harm the U.S. and help a foreign nation and knowingly sent it “to a person not entitled to receive it.”
  • 18 U.S. Code § 793(g) – “Between on or about a date unknown but not later than October 4, 2016, and up to and including the date of this filing in” D.C. and elsewhere, Comey “and others known, and unknown, knowingly and willfully conspired and agreed together and with each other” to violate the law in count one.

Gee…what happened in October 2016? Here are a few stories we covered during that month:

Comey published this video on his Substack right before the filing dropped:

Well, they’re back again.

It would almost be funny if it weren’t such an appalling abuse of the Department of Justice. One that we cannot become numb to.

Nothing’s changed with me. I’m still innocent. I’m still not afraid of these people. And I still believe in the independent federal judiciary.

And I’m still lucky to have an amazing family and an incredible group of lawyers and will stand up in court and fight the latest. And whatever comes after this, the next couple of years are going to be hard for all of us.

It’s really important that we stand straight and keep the faith in America.

Yet another case in DC by James Comey

I’m sure they do, but I’d rather that national secrets remain secret, so long as we’re not sure all our enemies already have them.

I do wonder why they waited so long; did it take them this long to find the evidence, or are they racing against a ten-year statute of limitations?

That’s interesting.

Time for Comey to go to the beach for more inspiration. He is a real slick willy.

Numb? Nuts, we’re just returning the favor.
It’s not fun when your Gore gets oxed, is it?
Wait until you learn who we have waiting in the on-deck circle to accuse you of raping them in a tub full of Bud Light.

He should have been in jail 10 yrs ago and I doubt anything will happen to him now. The lawfare which the Dems decided to start is something, though.

Would any DC jury convict this democratic saint?
