‘Altercation’: Media Downplays Cockpit Stabbing on Flight Carrying 174 to Israel
How the media described the stabbing: altercation, “violent” altercation, fought, struggle.
The media has already attempted to downplay what appears to be an attempted hijacking of a Dubai flight headed to Tel Aviv, Israel, with 174 passengers, including 27 children.
The majority on the plane were Jews and Israelis.
As Vijeta wrote this morning, one of the pilots stabbed the other pilot
The injured pilot fought off his attacker. He managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers and crew members to subdue the attacker.
If the media didn’t jump to conclusions when it comes to making Israel, Jews, or non-leftists look bad, I’d applaud them because we should wait until we have facts.
Hence why I haven’t called the incident a terrorist attack or hijacking.
Nope. In what could have been a major tragedy aimed at Israel and Jews, the media decided to go with caution.
Let’s start with The New York Times, which faces a lawsuit over alleged anti-Israel bias, thanks to a whistleblower’s trove of evidence from over six years.

An “altercation.”
An altercation is a heated dispute or argument. A squabble or quarrel. So when you hear or read the word altercation, you assume the people got into a heated argument.
Stabbing definitely doesn’t pop into my mind when I hear or read altercation!
“Far-right” government ministers. “Far from Israeli airspace when the incident began.”
Did you see my cover photo? The stabbing did not happen right after takeoff. The plane was closer to Israel than it was to Dubai.
If you follow the minute-by-minute of 9/11, then you know the terrorists took over the planes with plenty of time before the attack on the towers and Pentagon.
The UA 175 terrorists gained control of the flight about 30 minutes after takeoff, around 8:42 AM. They flew the plane into the South Tower at 9:03 AM.
Therefore, I’m guessing terrorists take control of planes well before their destination to give them time to control the plane and establish their route.
So, yeah, the fact that the plane was not in or near Israeli airspace is not a reason to brush off theories that the pilot planned to stage a 9/11 in Israel.

Exactly! Everyone needs to look at the % here. With ‘only’ two injured out of 180 people that’s something like 99.98 % not injured by a knife wielding pilot seemingly bent on taking down an airliner. Heck Ivory soap claims to be 99 and 44/100 pure so in comparison …a better outcome/performance than Ivory soap. Sadly the legacy media seems to have adopted something like this as their view based on their collectively muted/twisted coverage.

I was watching the Ingram show with Kayleigh McEnany started off her program tonight with a 100% error by stating that the captain stabbed his co-pilot! I quit watching after that!

That’s exactly the correct question! And since there is no discernible “not in our name” movement of Muslims decrying the actions of “radical” Muslims, it’s fair to assume there is no such thing as a moderate Muslim. The only distinction appears to be between Muslims actively trying to kill, rape, and maim non-Muslims; and those Muslims who simply cheer for the activists. More evidence that they are a cancer on society everywhere they go.

WSJ (to which I have a digital subscription) has split into two newspapers — the opinion pages, run by Kim Strassel, are reliably conservative and common-sense. The newsroom has been totally captured by Islamo-Marxists. It’s utterly galling and nauseating.
I cancelled my sub for what happened to the “news” side.
WSJ’s news reporting has never been any different from NYT, CNN, etc. It’s only the opinion pages that have ever been conservative.
I’ve always wondered how a news firm could survive such a callosotomy.
This same media would be celebrating had the hijacking or murdering of all aboard been successful. They’d celebrate then. Justify the terror and then blame Israel. Right now they are just mad that they didn’t get that opportunity.
I guess we’re lucky the NYT didn’t go with “Dozens of Israelis Beat Muslim in Altercation on Plane” for their headline.
