State Department Revokes Over 175,000 Visas for Criminal Activity
“A U.S. embassy in North Africa revoked over 100 visas for ‘birth tourist’ parents who came to the United States primarily to give birth so their children would get U.S. citizenship.”
The State Department announced it has revoked over 175,000 visas since President Donald Trump took office in January 2025.
Those foreign nationals “violated the terms of their visas, committed crimes, called for violence against U.S. citizens, defrauded Americans, abused our immigration system, or endangered national security.”
“The majority of these visas were revoked due to law enforcement encounters for a range of criminal activity, with assault, driving under the influence, theft, and drug crimes being the leading causes,” according to the press release. “A significant share of visas were revoked for reckless driving, sexual assault, child abuse, fraud and embezzlement, and other crimes.”
The criminals include (emphasis mine):
- A foreign national who was charged with felony rape and sexual battery – including of a victim who was mentally disabled.
- A foreign national charged with felony kidnapping, human trafficking, and sexual exploitation of a minor.
- A U.S. embassy in North Africa revoked over 100 visas for “birth tourist” parents who came to the United States primarily to give birth so their children would get U.S. citizenship.
- A foreign national charged with sodomy of a child and aggravated sexual battery.
- A foreign national charged with over a dozen counts of possessing child sexual abuse material.
- A foreign national who claimed to operate a legitimate business helping vulnerable patients access healthcare helped orchestrate a massive Medicaid scam – billing for over $5 million of fake services.
- A foreign national who came to the U.S. to teach young students and was then arrested for sexually assaulting one.
Multiple foreign nationals had their visas revoked when they celebrated Charlie Kirk’s assassination. One person said Kirk “died too late.
The Supreme Court recently upheld birthright citizenship, forcing Trump to find other avenues to limit birth tourism.
Trump’s executive orders narrowed the scope, targeting future births in four categories:
- Either parent of that person is an alien enemy, defined to include any member of a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.
- Either parent is a foreign government employee working on behalf of a foreign government.
- Person is born in a territory or territorial waters of the United States where citizenship is not conferred by Federal statute.
- The entry of any foreign national into the United States via a nonimmigrant visa for the purpose of giving birth on American soil or any effort by any foreign national to facilitate the entry of any foreign national into the United States via a nonimmigrant visa for the purpose of giving birth on American soil.
The DOJ also vowed to tackle birth tourism after the SCOTUS decision, describing numerous schemes foreign nationals have used to secure citizenship for their child.
“There’s more that DHS can do and the federal government can do in the visa process and the application process to try to minimize or limit the opportunity of folks coming here not to visit, not to do what they say they’re going to do on their Visa, but just to have a baby that can be a U.S. citizen,” said Attorney General Todd Blanche.
Whether the left likes it or not, birth tourism exists. Axios even admitted it: “Estimates about the number of children who’ve been the result of birth tourism range from the low thousands to the tens of thousands.”
Those are just estimates. How many are unaccounted for?

This all seems so simple and obvious. But no one has bothered for 50 years.
It’s nice to have a government that is focused on the duties of government rather than social engineering.
We do until November. If the Democrats take either or both of the houses of Congress, this will all grind to a halt.
And it will all be reversed when the democrats take control of Congress and make Pres. Trump a lame duck president for the remainder of his term. Just saying.

Why so few? The vested interests to maintain it are very powerful and wield great influence. Establishment DC unholy alliance of big govt leftist d/prog and big business/corporatist GoP. Both have every incentive to desire more immigration lawful/unlawful alike. Academia and corporations want visas (and ain’t opposed to illegal aliens) b/c academia including K-12 gets more tax $ the larger the # of students,.corporations like it b/c it artificially suppresses wages by hiring cheap foreign labor. The govt unions like it b/c it provides jobs to manage and distribute benefits raising their membership and influence. The plethora of NGO/’charities’ like it b/c they get govt contracts to assist migrants and boost their revenues. State and local gov’t likes it n/c it swells their census count/political power in DC and brings more Federal $ to support their federally funded but State administered benefit plans.
Everybody is a winner but the broad middle-class the 70% in the center. The bottom 15% get taken care of by eligibility for all sorts of govt assistance. The top 15% are well positioned to take care of themselves, often these are the folks on salaries at Govt/NGO. The broad middle-class makes too much to qualify for govt assistance and not enough to secure themselves as their jobs were off shored or more recently given over to visa workers.

Pass a law saying non citizens on a visa who are pregnant or who become pregnant must leave the county by their 7th month of gestation or their children will be ineligible for citizenship and the mother will be charged with a felony. And that includes ALL visas, not just tourist visas.
Congress can’t pass such a law. The mother’s crime can’t affect the child’s citizenship.
These are all valid reason to cancel visas, except “called for violence against U.S. citizens”. If the call was made while the person was in the USA then it’s protected speech, and it’s unconstitutional to cancel their visa because of it. If the call was made outside US territory then it’s not protected, so cancel away.
This is unconstitutional, assuming they were in the USA at the time.
Three of the four are unconstitutional; the fourth makes no sense, unless it’s a typo, in which case it’s also invalid, though Congress could fix that.
