Thousands of military-age men from Morocco invaded Spain today by crossing the border into the Spanish territory of Ceuta.

Spain’s government said Thursday evening it would send the Armed Forces to help the Civil Guard “to maintain security in the city of Ceuta.” It also announced that Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez would join Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska and visit Ceuta Friday.
“The situation is absolute chaos,” Rachid Sbihi, head of the association that represents Spain’s Civil Guard officers in Ceuta, who police the border told The Associated Press. “It’s not possible to give precise numbers, but there are thousands of migrants crossing,” he said, adding that the border had “totally collapsed.”
However, Spain’s interior ministry won’t declare a national emergency over migration concerns.

Thing is, Ceuta had to know this swarm would happen since thousands of people have been swimming for Morocco this past week, overwhelming border security. This is from an AP article published yesterday:
“In the last few days, more than 1,500 migrants, including adults and minors, have reached Ceuta by sea,” the leader of Ceuta’s government, Juan Jesús Vivas, told journalists. “The reception centers are collapsed and saturated.”
Vivas said migrants previously died in the attempt, with 60 bodies being spotted at sea in the last year.
Less than 80 years ago, these men would have been killed for invading Spain.

“Complete freedom of movement” is a one-way street, with only illegal aliens allowed to cross the border as they please. At some point – sooner rather than later – the Left’s dream of absolute control of citizens’ movement will come true. So-called 15 minute cities, outlawing private transportation (except for the Communist satraps, naturally), public transportation for the proles, Soviet-style control of anyone trying to leave their assigned zone, unreliable “green energy” to keep everyone on the brink of starvation and death – all that and more is coming. The Spaniards traded freedom for comfort and will soon wind up with neither (see: the Peoples Democratic Republic of California).
When large numbers of people from low trust societies move into high trust societies things crumble. Not just rape, stolen cars, healthcare and ebt fraud. Things like Ebay quit working because people just cannot be trusted.
I’d like to point out that this isn’t just Spain’s problem. It is now the problem of the entire E.U. as there are no border controls in “The Schengen Area.”
The Schengen Area is a zone of 29 European countries — named after a small village in Luxembourg — that have eliminated passport controls at their shared borders. Once you enter one Schengen country, you can travel freely between all of them with no additional border checks.
As soon as these immigrants realize they’ve overwhelmed the resources in Spain, they’ll migrate like locusts. So if you think Europe has immigration problems now, just wait and it’s going to get worse.
