“Software Error.”
According to New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill, a software error at the Motor Vehicles Commission signed up over 6,600 noncitizens to vote.
But only 400 of them voted, you guys. No biggie.
The registration occurred between June 2023 and June 2024, three years before Sherrill took office.
Supposedly, people answered “no” when asked whether they held U.S. citizenship on driver’s license or identification card applications.
“This happened under the previous administration and, upon learning this information, I immediately ordered my chief counsel to launch an investigation to get to the bottom of what occurred,” claimed Sherrill. “I also ordered the removal of any residents from our voter rolls who were erroneously added between June 2023 and June 2024. The new MVC Administrator that I appointed has begun the process of replacing the vendor responsible for administering the system.”
Of course, Sherrill didn’t miss an opportunity to attack President Donald Trump, claiming he’s the one weaponizing elections for political gains and she’s the one protecting elections.
The lady had the absolute nerve to say, “I think that Donald Trump has done more to undermine free elections in this country than certainly anyone in my lifetime, including [Russian President] Vladimir Putin.”
Okay, bro.
Weird how this comes to light after Trump delivered a big speech about election fraud and threats against states that do not clean up their voter rolls.
Also weird the news comes out a few days after DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin backed up Trump’s remarks, reiterating that officials found 35,152 possible noncitizens registered to vote in New Jersey.
I don’t believe in coincidences.
