RIP ‘Believe All Women’ As Democrats Go All in for Graham Platner
“Democrats believe in respecting the equality and dignity of women, and we always will. And we reject unequivocally misogyny. We reject it. But you know who else rejects it? Graham Platner.”
Not that it will surprise anyone, but the same Democrats who championed the “Believe All Women” slogan during the height of the #MeToo movement are suddenly singing a different tune amid the latest revelations about their presumptive Senate nominee from Maine, Graham Platner.
As Legal Insurrection reported, there seemingly is no red line Democrats wouldn’t cross to support Platner, whose campaign was rocked this week over a story from The New York Times, which recounted the stories of three women who had been in relationships with the Bernie Sanders-backed candidate before his marriage in late 2023. The most compelling was told by Lyndsey Fifield, a 40-year-old Virginia woman who The Times made sure to emphasize “has worked for right-leaning groups and Republican campaigns.”
Though Fifield claimed Platner “never hit me, he never punched me,” she described a pattern of physically abusive behavior during the 2015-2016 time period they were together that she alleged involved regularly grabbing her by the shoulders, which she said would leave marks, jerking her by the wrist when she wanted to be left alone, and twisting her arm around her back to keep her confined in a room until she “calmed down” from an argument.
Fifield also asserted that Platner would sometimes talk about how he would “rape” an intruder if one ever broke in, just to show dominance, but in “a sexual way, not in a gay way.”
Between that, the unearthed Reddit posts where Platner victim-shamed sexual assault survivors and downplayed concerns of female service members who stepped forward, confirmed reports of Platner “explicitly” sexting with up to a dozen women after getting married in late 2023, the existence of a Kik account (an app that is known as a “predators paradise“), and Platner sending his wife out as a human shield to defend him in the aftermath, it has all painted a pretty disturbing picture of a misogynistic sociopath in the minds of his critics.
But in the minds of TDS-afflicted Democrats who are desperate to regain the majority in the Senate, “Believe All Women” has an expiration date, effective now,
Take, for instance, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), the Democrat who reluctantly led the 2017 effort to get then-Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) to resign from the Senate after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.
During the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings, she proclaimed that Republicans “don’t value survivors” and “don’t believe women”:
Senate Republicans aren't even pretending to consider Dr. Ford's testimony. Rushing a vote sends a clear signal: They don't value survivors. They don't believe women. https://t.co/gwQUr9b3Ci

Gillibrand has also championed herself as an advocate for female members of the military who have alleged sexual assault. And yet when it comes to Platner, she has consistently looked the other way:
Gillibrand spox said her comments were: “We are still going to win Maine.”

Gillibrand introduced the "Military Justice Improvement Act." She fought for it. Platner hated it. He thought a lot of what people were saying about sexual assault in the military was ridiculous. Here are a few of his comments. pic.twitter.com/cJdp50G0C2

Then there is Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), who, like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), has become one of Platner’s Truest Believers over the course of his campaign in part because Platner, like Khanna, is virulently anti-Israel.
As Legal Insurrection readers will recall, Khanna teamed up with Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) to virtue signal about the release of the Epstein files, ostensibly in the interest of respecting Epstein’s victims. Khanna even took to the House floor to read the names of six men in the Epstein files whose names had been redacted, and who he and Massie alleged the DOJ was covering for. But four of the men whose names he mentioned had no connection at all to Epstein.
After news of the sexting scandal broke, here’s what Khanna said about Platner:
I am proud of @grahamformaine for having the character to stand up against the war in Iran, against genocide, and against an unfair & lopsided economy. I am proud of him for having a vision for a new deal for our time. Excited to campaign with him June 5!

And, incredibly, here’s what Khanna said at that June 5 rally for Platner:
“Now, no one should make excuses for his past relationships, some of which were toxic and volatile. And no one on our side should attack the women who came forward. You know why? Because Democrats believe in respecting the equality and dignity of women, and we always will. And we reject unequivocally misogyny. We reject it. But you know who else rejects it? Graham Platner.”

You… just can’t make it up. You truly cannot.
Right after that, he confirmed this was about power, not believing women:
"Democratic strategists told me: Why are you going there this week? Let things die down. Let things play out. Play it cool. How has that worked out? Two Trump terms and 30 years of Susan Collins."
— David Weigel (@daveweigel) June 6, 2026
Interestingly, before the rally, Khanna was still trying to have it both ways, saying he believed the women and that the Platner should apologize because Democrats have a seat to win:
Khanna said that Platner has shown redemption. When asked whether Platner should go further and apologize to the women, Khanna agreed.
“I think he should apologize. I believe what he did was wrong, was misogynistic, was toxic or volatile,” he said in a brief interview with NBC News. “I know he’s ashamed of it and I certainly think it would be appropriate to apologize and say how he now understands why it’s important to stand up to a misogynistic culture.”

So he is excusing misogyny while he is saying we should not excuse it while support the misogynist Platner. Make it make sense

Last but not least, here’s a then vs. now look at Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI):
Dem Sen. Whitehouse says he’s “not impressed” by the allegations against Graham Platner in the latest NYT report.
“Seems like a lot of nothing. I mean, the only one who had anything to say that seemed ‘unsettling’ was a woman who works for right-wing political operations.”
— Igor Bobic (@igorbobic) June 4, 2026
So the guy who grilled Kavanaugh about "boofing" and other yearbook slang when he was 16 is "unimpressed" by allegations against Graham Platner when he was in his 30s. https://t.co/P7wRB7mup1

The “Believe All Women/MeToo” movement was toxic in and of itself at its height, convicting men in the court of public opinion without critical examination of any supposed facts/evidence, without the benefit of a trial, etc. Yet Democrats weaponized it with wild abandon for political gain under the pretense that they were protecting and respecting victims’ voices.
Yet when Joe Biden was accused of sexual harassment and rape, these same Democrats – including Kamala Harris – glossed over it and essentially said it didn’t matter while yada yadaing about how their voices still “needed to be heard.” And the same thing is happening here with Graham Platner amid allegations that are far more credible than what was alleged about Kavanaugh during his Supreme Court confirmation hearings.
In essence, Democrats have killed their own movement, abandoning it for political gain much in the same way they embraced it when they thought it would help them:
All it took was a female abusing, Nazi tattooed, veteran hating, nepo baby fake oyster fishing, Porto potty masturbating, rape shaming dude from Maine to finally kill the MeToo movement. And surprise, surprise it was the Left that killed it in pursuit of power.
Who’d a’ guessed?

How can the democrats believe all women when they can’t define what a woman is?
The “#me too” movement has become a Democrat socialist “#up yours ladies” movement.
Now we have the Dem’s Platner “#adopt a Nazi” program.
What was it that Rahm Emmanuel once said, “by any means necessary?”
Progressives should show solidarity with Platner by getting Waffen SS Totenkopf tattooed on their forearms.
I’d settle for a simple SS on their cheeks. Easily visible.
Foreheads, since that is what they are “thinking,” and it is close to the part of their brains that never developed, the forebrain.
Will they also get their blood type tattooed in their armpit like good SS troopers?
I am still not buying the ‘d/prog gonna replace Platner’ speculation. This nazi SS totenkopf tattoo having whacko is gonna win the primary and may squeak by in Nov. It seems to me that working to defeat this nut at every opportunity should be a higher priority. No whining if this nut becomes a US Senator b/c resources were used in other primary races instead and/or folks try to claim they ‘didn’t think he could win’.
They fail to take him seriously at their, and our, peril.
.
If he goes to the Senate I hope he’s loud as loud can be. His actions will lend a lot of ammunition – should the gutless GOP choose to use it – for the 2028 election.
If he goes to the Senate he will probably go Postal.
As Senator he doesn’t need to be loud, he only needs to be willing to hold up budgets that benefit Israel as one example. Same for the nut Sayed from Michigan. A member of the Senate has far more individual power and ability to gum up the works than a member of the HoR. Vastly more, and the folks that believe it was absolutely crucial to spend tens of $millions to defeat Massie in his primary over concerns about ‘antisemitism’ seem strangely reluctant to commit similar funding levels to defeat these two nuts in their primaries despite them holding views/beliefs far more dangerous than Massie. Claiming a scalp is part of hardball politics but let’s not get it twisted, if the issue with Massie was antisemitism then where is the same level of opposition to Senate candidates Platner in Maine, Sayed in Michigan and Hamaway in NJ who already won his primary for HoR. The lack of funding seems to indicate claiming a political scalp b/c he annoyed AIPAC was the real reason, which is totally legit and a perfectly valid reason to go after Massie but at least we should be honest about it.
It’s never been about “believe all women”
It’s about power.. period
Nancy was right, she could put a turnip with a D after it and win
America, what happened to you
Believe no women would be a better rule, unless there’s a contemporaneous police report. No time for mind-changing or self-reenforcing fantasies.
“He assaulted me 33 years ago in a city I can’t recall the name of in a hotel I cannot name during who knows what month!”
There is no perverted behavior that will get the lock step party to turn their back on one of their own.
RIP, also, to the vile, stupid and evil communist/Islamofascist/Muslim supremacist Dhimmi-crats’ loudly professed, sanctimonious and self-congratulatory “anti-fascist/anti-Nazi” posturing and rhetoric.
Such a bunch of malicious, wicked and brazenly hypocritical reprobates.
Dammit, does this mean I have to take down my Believe All Women decorations to make room for my Bimbo Eruptions decorations?
Oh wait! I don’t have any decorations like that because I’m not a Democrat!
I still have a picture of the pubic hair on my coke can.
Have you checked your ‘binder full of Women’ to make sure?
#BelieveAllWomen was murdered to save the pants-down presidency of William Jefferson Clinton. What we have seen since then is feminists frantically trying to reanimate its decaying corpse whenever they think it can be used against a non-Communist.
A good way to troll Herr Comrade Platner is to have a bunch of people giving the Seig Heil salute to him at his rallies. Even better, have them wearing Soviet and Nazi uniforms from WW II.
Hopefully there’s a decent majority of voters out there who see through this mountain of BS being shoveled by the Democrats. Wake up and smell the manure America. It reeks.
Platner joked about being member of death squad in military?
Just when you thought the Democrats couldn’t go lower, the endorse en masse a Nazi.
Were there no Pol Pot disciples available to run?
