FIFA Won’t Block Pride Flags From Iran-Egypt Match in Seattle
I doubt Egypt wants to skip the match since a victory would send the team to its first-ever knockout round.
FIFA won’t stop people or the city from displaying pride flags or anything related to pride during tonight’s Pride Match.
The game starts at 11 PM EDT/8 PM PDT.
Yes, Iran and Egypt play against each other in the Pride Match.
In Egypt, gays face arrest and prison for breaking the country’s morality laws.
Iran? Well, Iran will kill gays.
Seattle PrideFest chose June 26 as the Pride Match before the FIFA tournament draw.
In December, Iran and Egypt exploded when they found out their match would take place on June 26, demanding FIFA cancel all events planned for the Pride Match.
The Iran Football Federation reiterated its stance on Wednesday:
“The Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran takes this matter seriously and has clearly communicated its position to FIFA.
“Iran and Egypt are two Muslim countries with deep cultural and religious commonalities, and the views expressed by both federations reflects the values and beliefs shared by the people of both countries.
“Our position is that no ceremonies, or promotional activities associated with this movement should be present inside the stadium or as part of the match environment. This position has been communicated to FIFA through the appropriate channels.
“We believe FIFA should take into account the views and concerns of the participating teams when considering matters related to the match environment and stadium presentation.
“FIFA has been informed of this shared position by both countries and is expected to take the necessary steps to ensure that no related ceremonies or promotional activities take place within the stadium or as part of the official match environment.”
FIFA has refused to back down:
“The FIFA World Cup 2026 is an inclusive event that welcomes people from all backgrounds,” FIFA said in a statement on Thursday. “Fans of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome at matches and events.
“General statements of human rights, including rainbow flags and other flags representing sexual orientation and gender identity, are permitted under the FIFA World Cup 2026™️ Stadium Code of Conduct and may be displayed inside stadiums provided they are used in a manner consistent with the code.”
The host city has no control over what happens in the venue. I have a feeling nothing inside the venue besides flags and people in the stadium dressed up in weird clothes will have anything to do with pride.
In January, FIFA president Gianni Infantino stressed to German publication Die Weltwoche that the game is simply a FIFA World Cup match in Seattle.
“First of all, I must clarify that there will be no “Pride Match” at the [FIFA] World Cup,” Infantino told the outlet. There will be a FIFA World Cup match in Seattle, and on the same day, events organised by external organizations will be taking place in the city. But that has nothing to do with the match itself.”
At least FIFA is consistent. The organization defended Qatar’s right to expect people to respect the country’s cultural norms during the 2022 World Cup.
As far as I can tell, the match is still on. I doubt Egypt wants to skip the match since a victory would send the team to its first-ever knockout round.

So, according to the wretched, corrupt and dhimmified FIFA organization, fans are welcome to carry and wave “Pride” and Arab Muslim “Palestinian” flags at these games, but, not the Israeli flag.
That’s Jew-hating, dhimmi moral bankruptcy and hypocrisy, for you.
I was curious about the word “permitted.” Is FIFA censoring what kind of shirt or flag a ticket buying fan can present in the stadium?
Yes. They banned the traditional (i.e. pre-mullah) Iranian flag, that thousands of Iranian-Americans were displaying at Iran matches.
Exactly last night in the Turkey I saw the camera pan to a Palestinian flag holder ; but an Israeli flag holder was told he had to remove his flag or leave in another earlier game. The rule is no flags of countries not in the match but you know since we must “keep Palestine present “ in all things as the Omni cause ; they are just too special to ban. And I guess it proves that they aren’t really a country
As if I needed another reason to despise this mob “sport”
I don’t much care about Pride Flags. Frankly they’re silly. However, in this particular case the more the merrier. Fly a zillion of them over the stadium. Engrave one on the field. Go wild.
It will not penetrate the woke skull of the LBGTQWERTY in the stands in Seattle for the game, but that they would be 6′ under the stands in Iran.
FIFA should accommodate the Egyptian and Iranian teams and move them to a venue at which they will not be subject to this harassment by the gay community and the Leftards that run Seattle, who have no respect for their guests. The teams were given assurances this would not happen. A pox on Muslims and Leftards, but this is an issue of conduct with respect to guests in our country.
So does that mean that if a World Cup is held in a Muslim country (or countries) the country should “respect” the free speech of countries like the United States?
Or, should “guests” in those countries be forced to accept the cultural norms there?
That would mean requiring woman to be accompanied by a male and be “covered.” Is that the route we should go?
I have to wonder if at the match in Atlanta, if a bunch of people brought Confederate battle flags and or wore t-shirts with “the South Will Rise Again” or “Southern Pride” on a battle flag background. Or how about attire worn by the KKK? What would the stance of FIFA be then?
Maybe “covering” women soccer players wouldn’t be such a bad idea.
Who gave them such assurances, and under what authority?
Should be exciting! Maybe have a same sex wedding during the break.
Reception atop the Space Needle?
Muslims vs queens in a death match. Whoever wins we laugh
Seattle…let the war games begin.
It seems fitting that Pride should celebrate soccer. Since head shots are legal, the players often get smacked in the face by the balls.
Moohammed was what the Alphabet communists refer to as a “MAP”. He’d fit right in!
“FIFA has refused to back down.”
FIFA should take care starting their cars.
