Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports Floats Possibility of Running for Mayor of NYC

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy appeared on FOX News last night and revealed that, like many Americans, he is deeply concerned about the rise of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
He then floated the possibility of running for mayor of New York City in response. I hope he’s serious.
Portnoy is young, has huge name recognition, and a massive social media following. He loves America and understands economics.

Barstool owner Dave Portnoy said that he’d consider running for elected office over his frustrations with current Big Apple leadership — adding he’d “love to run against” Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
“I would love to run against him. If I were gonna run, it would be here,” Portnoy said when asked if he’d consider a run against New York City’s democratic socialist mayor on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Monday night.
The One Bite Pizza reviewer told host Jesse Watters that he previously thought he “would never get involved in politics,” but that the threat of being ruled by “dummies” has him reconsidering his position.
“I spend a lot of my day losing my mind with what’s happening, especially in New York,” Portnoy said.
He also blasted the Democrat Party, criticizing the growing spate of lefty socialists who’ve won big in recent elections under its banner.
“What the Democrats have done is they’ve let the fox into the hen house. And now he’s just running rampant and kicking them all out,” Portnoy said in a veiled swing at Mamdani.
Three far-left Congressional candidates backed by the mayor won their primaries last Tuesday, knocking out their establishment Democrat opponents…

Whether Portnoy actually runs or not is up to him, but the hard truth is that younger conservatives like him need to start stepping up to run for office in American cities and the GOP has to get behind them.
In many cases, the people who live in these places are net even getting the option of voting for a serious Republican candidate. The left knows this and is taking full advantage of the situation.

I can’t see Portnoy as Mayor. Then again I could never see Trump as President. It’s a weird whacky world we live in.
Portney is a Jew though and the days of a Jew getting elected NYC mayor are gone in my opinion.
It’s at the end of a nation. I think things get crazy as nations get toppled.

This country just got flushed into the sewer and I’m glad that I won’t be around to see the worst of it.
Noting the obvious reference to Portnoy’s Complaint; there are two points here:
1) Will there ever be another real mayoral election in NYC?
2) Will Portnoy have “an accident”; either Muslim or Leftist?
Nowadays, you have to consider such things.

It’s a bit early to already be talking about the 2029 election! No one will be focusing on that race until after the 2028 presidential election. What happens there will likely affect people’s decision on whether to run in 2029.
There aren’t enough Americans in NY City for this to be a possibility.
And most of those that do remain are raging genocidal anti-semites, so there’s zero chance of any Jewish person getting elected Mayor.
Portnoy is as much a Constitutional Conservative as I am as rich as Elon Musk and half his age. People like him for his opinionated and brash behavior. Go back and watch and listen and learn. He’s not what conservatives need. Sorry.
Portnoy may not be a conservative, but he has a voice and a following, and if voices like his are used to shed light on the damage being caused by these “democratic socialists” and their destructive policies, we will be better off. Also, such voices are needed NOW, not just at election time. Publicly and loudly expose the idiocy of a Mamdani’s proposals, and Mamdani just might find the public turning against them.
