Biden DOJ Ignored FBI And Targeted School Board Activists Anyways
“I hope DOJ reconsiders,” an FBI attorney wrote to her colleagues about the controversial memo that urged the targeting of American citizens for speaking out at school board meetings.
Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice (DOJ) targeted parents and concerned citizens speaking out at school board meetings despite objections from the FBI and other law enforcement officials, new documents show.
In October 2021, the DOJ asked federal prosecutors to look out for potential crimes by parents and others who were showing up at school board meetings to speak out against COVID mandates and what they saw as inappropriate books or curricula choices. The Justice Department drafted the memo after being asked by the National School Boards Association, as subsequent reporting revealed.
This directive, sent around for comment, drew concerns from FBI Deputy Assistant Director Jay Greenberg.
“[W]e we have some concern with the attached and would like additional time to engage with you before this messaging is released,” Greenberg wrote to his colleagues, according to new emails released by America First Legal. The group is conducting an investigation into the memo.
“None of us wants to see any threats of violence tolerated, and I am sure we can find a way to stand together on that messaging given appropriate time to work through any concern,” he added.
Miriam Coakley, an FBI attorney, wrote to a colleague: “I hope DOJ reconsiders,” on October 4.
A chief of staff reported that the leader of the National Sheriffs’ Association was surprised by the directive and questioned why it was needed.
“I just received a call from JT at National Sheriffs Association,” Peter Hyun, chief of staff in the office of U.S. Associate General, wrote to associate general attorneys Vanita Gupta and Matthew Coangelo.

“He asked why DOJ was involving itself in local issues,” Hyun relayed. He said the law enforcement group had “not heard any concerns about threats to local school boards.” The sheriffs’ association also expressed disappointment that the Justice Department did not give them a “heads up” on the memo.
America First Legal criticized the targeting of concerned citizens.
“These documents prove that the Biden Administration ignored explicit warnings from the FBI’s own leadership and the National Sheriffs’ Association to appease radical leftist activists,” Senior Advisor Ian Prior stated in a news release.
Will Scolinos, an attorney for the legal advocacy group, stated: “These documents confirm that DOJ ignored the law enforcement’s on-the-ground threat assessments and continued with its vindictive, politically-driven weaponization of parents.”

Another matter that Garland lied about. A dirty cop. Interesting what the documents actually show, including from those burn bags. When good people at DOJ and the FBI objected, they were ignored. Garland was a disaster, presiding over an outlaw DOJ.
He did the job he was hired to do.
A Dhimmi-crat apparatchik brazenly and unabashedly lying — it must be a day ending in the letter “y.”
The more we learn about Merrick Garland, the worse he comes across. He was portrayed as a straight shooter off the federal Circuit court bench but he has revealed himself to be nothing more than a political hack bent on prosecuting perceived enemies of the Biden Administration.
Imagine if Bathhouse Barry had got him on the “Supreme” Court.
Yeah, we dodged that bullet but it grazed us in the head later.
.
The entire country is fortunate that Obama never succeeded in getting Merrick Garland on the S Ct.
Mitch McConnell has been awful the past few years, I think largely due to his age and the fact that he should have retired long ago.
But we should always be grateful that he kept that 🌞of a 🐕 Garland off the Supreme Court. As bad as he was as AG, at least his tenure was over once Trump was elected.
He deserves zero credit. It was pure self-interest.
In the entire process McConnell said NOT ONE WORD against Garland himself, and he voted for him to be AG without even thinking.
The ONLY reason McConnell kept the seat open was he was expecting to negotiate a payoff from President Clinton for whatever far leftist she wanted to get confirmed. That’s all.
He never actually expected Trump to win.
Garland is a sweaty, lying dirtbag. I guess that’s why he became a lawyer.
My grandmother would have said, He has a lying smile.
How much more serious crime could have been found and prosecuted during the Biden years if Garland had *actually* done his job and told the DOJ “Ignore anybody on J6 who did not *actually* attack an officer and no, touching a fence once doesn’t count. Also, pull every FBI officer out of any school board meetings and put them to work chasing violent felons.”
But but…we were constantly lectured that weaponized DoJ wasn’t a ‘thing’ in the Biden Admin by the lapdog corporate media.
