Former Top Fauci Advisor Indicted for Concealing COVID Records
Prosecutors claim Morens, co-conspirator #1, and others “conspired to defraud and commit several offenses against” America after NHI terminated a grant, Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence, for co-conspirator #1 during the pandemic.
The DOJ announced the indictment of David M. Morens, a former top advisor to Dr. Anthony Fauci, for allegedly concealing COVID-related records using his private email.
Morens remained in his position as a senior advisor in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ (NIAID) Office of the Director from 2006 through 2022.
Morens faces four charges:
- Conspiracy against the United States
- Destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in federal investigations
- Concealment, removal, or mutilation of records
- Aiding and abetting
The indictment only names Morens. Those included in the indictment are Company #1, a non-profit organization in New York that “researched the origins, transmissibility, virility, and impacts of potentially emergent infectious diseases, including those associated with coronaviruses originating from animals like bats.”
Co-conspirator #1 refers to the CEO and President of Company #1.
Politico reported that congressional investigations into Morens point to “Peter Daszak, a zoologist and former president of the EcoHealth Alliance, and Gerald Keusch, a physician and former associate director of Boston University’s infectious disease lab” as the unnamed persons and company in the indictment.
Prosecutors claim Morens, co-conspirator #1, and others “conspired to defraud and commit several offenses against” America after NHI terminated a grant, Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence, for co-conspirator #1 during the pandemic.
NIH canceled the grant after the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in Wuhan, China, faced allegations that COVID originated there.
Company #1 and co-conspirator #1 gave WIV a subaward.
Morens and another co-conspirator allegedly decided to help co-conspirator 1 and company #1 regain the grant.
To circumvent government rules, Morens and the co-conspirators allegedly used his personal Gmail account to transfer information and communicate.
The government claims Morens “created, transferred, and exchanged” the following federal records via his email:
- Controlled NIH work product
- Records concerning efforts to influence NIH to fund Company #1
- Records concerning the Company #1 bat coronavirus grant termination, reinstatement, suspension, and subsequent negotiation, including the drafting and editing of statements and responses on behalf of Company #1 to NIH
- Records concerning congressional oversight of NIH and its grants related to COVID
- Records concerning Morens’s access to Senior NIAID Official 1 and his use of that access to convey information on behalf of Company #1 to influence Senior NIAID Official 1
“These allegations represent a profound abuse of trust at a time when the American people needed it most — during the height of a global pandemic,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. “As alleged in the indictment, Dr. Morens and his co-conspirators deliberately concealed information and falsified records in an effort to suppress alternative theories regarding the origins of COVID-19. Government officials have a solemn duty to provide honest, well-grounded facts and advice in service of the public interest — not to advance their own personal or ideological agendas.”

They will lean on him to flip and testify against Fraudci. Fraudci is the ringleader of this conspiracy. I hope they strip him of his pension and send his behind to a federal prison. His crimes make nazi medical experiments look tame.

I hope the Supreme Court rules that way, but I don’t in the least expect they will.
The onus would be on the prosecution to prove that. Fauci doesn’t have to prove anything. He just has to claim to have been pardoned, and if the prosecution can’t prove he wasn’t then the case can’t proceed.
Fauci can certainly raise his pardon as a defense. Asserting a pardon doesn’t automatically make that a valid defense to a particular charge. Each pardon usually has parameters cratering a specific period of time and particular offenses.
Then there’s the novelty of this set of pardons from Biden. The sheer number, the relatively short review and decision making period and the breadth of these differentiate them from prior pardons.
Add to that some basic principles long applied to Congress in exercise of its Constitutional Powers in particular the ‘non delegation’ and ‘intelligible principle’ which seem very applicable to this set of Biden Pardons.
For that matter it isn’t as if discovery couldn’t be conducted and depositions taken re the Biden pardons. Were they issued the same way, with same deliberative process, individualized review and very importantly direct Presidential involvement to exercise his power as has been past practice? There is an outside chance that based on the same logic used in pullback from Chevron deference Loper Bright that SCOTUS might be willing to take a look at these pardons.

Nothing says “trust the science” like record destruction and falsification.
Here is the thing – innocent people don’t falsify and destroy records. Guilty people do. But what exactly are they guilty of?
I have always had suspicions about the whole C-19 episode. The Democrats and their lawyers seemed awfully well prepared for a global pandemic. Too well prepared if you ask me. It is almost like Nancy Pelosi and Marc Elias knew in advance. Maybe getting Morens to plead guilty is a first step in unraveling the whole plot.
The longer the timeline between Rona mania and any punishment/consequences arriving the more severe the punishment that should be delivered.
So I’m guessing Company #1 is EcoHealth alliance and Co-Conspirator #1 is Peter Daszak. I’m not sure why they’re not names because that information is readily available.
They can go after everyone around Fauci and since he has that pardon, he can testify and not use the 5th Amendment as a shield. If he lies on the stand they can get him for perjury.
This indictment is for a cover-up. The more interesting question is was the release of C-19 done deliberately to stop Trump’s re-election. If that is ever proven, oh-boy. That would be the crime of the century – a political conspiracy that killed 20 million people. If that is where the case is leading, getting Morens to plead guilty is a first step.
