Stuck in the Middle With You Week at Legal Insurrection

All the news you may have missed.

In our current battles, Democrats are being obstructionists, but there are issues on the right, too.

Of course, the left is just anti-Trump on everything.

For the left, the TSA battle is all about power.

Iran updates.

Israel updates.

Iran is not dealing in reality.

Democrats are the party of elitist snobs.

This is what it’s all about.

What the Democrats fear.

ICE needs to keep going.

People on the left continue outing themselves.

Chicago is so screwed.

Says the former Biden employee.

This is the right thing to do.

Correct.

Of course.

A rare moment of truth from MS NOW.

Good riddance.

If Congress were to be given a letter grade for their performance, surely it would have to be an F, but the Senate is doubly incompetent and should be told it’s not welcome to continue studies next semester.

I believe this to be another of the natural consequences of the odious progressive amendments, the 17th in this case.

Consider what Madison wrote in Federalist 62:

“It is equally unnecessary to dilate on the appointment of senators by the State legislatures. Among the various modes which might have been devised for constituting this branch of the government, that which has been proposed by the convention is probably the most congenial with the public opinion. It is recommended by the double advantage of favoring a select appointment, and of giving to the State governments such an agency in the formation of the federal government as must secure the authority of the former, and may form a convenient link between the two systems.”

Instead of being answerable to the individual states, Senators spend their time refilling their campaign war chests and their personal bank accounts, all the while failing to achieve even the most basic of functions.

When America does tip over in to all out factional civil war, it will be due to weak Senate Republicans as the last straw, not a feckless Supreme Court.
