MS NOW Contributor: “90 Percent of the Antisemitic Comments That I Get Are From the Left”
“So I do want to make sure that we are like very clear that it’s bad, whatever, whatever partisan alignment we are talking about.”
An interesting exchange took place recently on MS NOW, the network formerly known as MSNBC.
New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg, a spin doctor for the left, was furiously making a case that antisemitism is becoming a big problem for Republicans, when contributor Catherine Rampell interjected and pointed out that the vast majority of antisemitic comments that she gets come from the left.
Goldberg soldiers on, suggesting that some of the fringe characters she is citing on the right will eventually be the face of the Republican party, while glossing over the new mayor of New York City and his wife, who are now considered darlings of the Democrat left.
From NewsBusters (emphasis is theirs):
On Saturday’s The Weekend: Primetime, MS NOW co-host Catherine Rampell made a stunning admission, recalling that 90 percent of the anti-Semitic hate mail she receives comes from the left. This revelation came as she made an unusual effort to provide balance during a segment focused on anti-Semitism within the Republican party.
As left-leaning New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg appeared to discuss her recent article on the subject, she accused President Donald Trump of causing a surge in anti-Semitism in young Republicans:
I think that Donald Trump, you know, created this, you know, he opened the door to naked, open bigotry. He opened the door to this complete breakdown in any sense of cohesive reality. And what you see now is the fruits of that even though, in many cases, these are young men who, in a lot of ways are kind of disillusioned with Trump, you know, they think, but that hasn’t necessarily — or hasn’t for them — moved them to the left. It’s just made them even more reactionary — even more convinced that he’s just being manipulated by the Jews. And so it’s kind of made them double down on naked anti-Semitism.
After a while, Rampell jumped in to call out anti-Semitism on the left, leading to a debate between herself and Goldberg (both of whom are Jewish) about whether anti-Israel Muslims who commit terrorism against Jews in the U.S. should be considered part of the left. Rampell began:
I do want to be careful that we make clear that it’s not only in the Republican party where this is a problem. There are — there is rising anti-Semitism on the left as well. I can tell you, since I joined this network, 90 percent of the anti-Semitic comments that I get are from the left. So I do want to make sure that we are like very clear that it’s bad, whatever, whatever partisan alignment we are talking about.
Watch below and note how Goldberg waves away antisemitism from the left as mere anti-zionism.
For almost three years, since the October 7th attacks, we have documented hundreds of antisemitic incidents on college campuses that are almost exclusively from people on the left.
Michelle Goldberg is trying to rewrite history. Good on Ms. Rampell for speaking the truth.

Goldberg is disgusting and an embarrassment to Jews everywhere.
She’s a disgusting embarrassment to humans.
I, you know, think that, you know, you are, you know, right.
I don’t drink.
If I did and did a drinking game for every time I hear “yah-know” on Fox News (XM sound broadcast), or on C-SPAN radio, or when Nick Freitas does a YouTube video with the balding bearded dude, I’d have a liver so wrecked I’d die. I love Nick’s videos but the yahknowing drives me ’round the bend.
Another vocal tic that has taken off is. “[pronoun] be like…” Instead of “[pronoun] think(s)…”
Some who are paid to speak – not only FOX News, but all tv broadcasts whether national or local – cannot put 2 sentences together without you know! and you know! and you know! It’s one thing with a man-on-the-street talking, but for those who employed to talk? My criticism extends to spokespersons for public and private organizations who don’t belong in media jobs.
She’s saying what they is paid to say. A true journalistic version of a curveh.
Kurva, a word found in many Slavic languages, meaning “whore, slut”.
With the last name of Goldberg and being a woman, one would believe she would be careful what she says around Muslims. If she thinks her kind comments towards them will save her from their wrath, is a poor bet indeed. Look at the Australian PM ‘s reception at the mosque. It is a well established that women have no rights at all.
Maybe she is just irredeemably stupid.
Well, stupid goes all the way to the bone.
Probably not married to that huge wrestler Bill Goldberg.
The “Stockholm Syndrome” was coined before the successful Muslim invasion of the country. Now in Sweden, it’s not acquired… it’s demanded.
I read recall seeing a comment from a leftist/Dhimmi-crat Jew living in New York, who supported the Islamofascist/Muslim supremacist reprobate then-candidate for mayor, which seemed to sum up the gullible and myopic views of the ~25% of Jews in New York City, who had voted for the Islamofascist/Muslim supremacist. This gullible and myopic fool stated that #47 allegedly constituted a greater threat to American Jews, than the Islamaofascist/Muslim supremacist candidate for mayor, and his Jew-hating, Hamashole ilk among the Dhimmi-crats.
That is indeed the fear that the left’s doorkeepers have desperately been spinning, in order to keep the Jews on the reservation. They’ve created this specter on the right, in order to frighten Jews into staying on the left. And like most specters it’s a reflection of its creators.
Trump is the DNC’s Emmanuel Goldstein. Democrat plans and policies are the daily Two Minute Hate. And the elite “liberal arts” graduates among the Democrat voters can’t even recognize the damn play they’re prisoners in.
“When you speak of us Republicans, you do so only to denounce us as reptiles, or, at the best, as no better than outlaws. You will grant a hearing to pirates or murderers, but nothing like it to “Black Republicans.” … But you will not abide the election of a Republican president! In that supposed event, you say, you will destroy the Union; and then, you say, the great crime of having destroyed it will be upon us! That is cool. A highwayman holds a pistol to my ear, and mutters through his teeth, “Stand and deliver, or I shall kill you, and then you will be a murderer!”
–ABRAHAM LINCOLN
Same thing the Dummicrats are saying with respect to funding DHS.
Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to actually see how Trump supports Jews, his own daughter and grandchildren are Jewish and Israel and what the Dems support
MUSLIMS you IDIOT
Better to call them “Demon-Rats.”
I live in Manhattan. That’s what practically every Jew is like. In this instance even the Orthodox were no better, foolishly voting en masse for spoiler Cuomo.
The Granny-killer was the only viable alternative. If you wanted to stop Mandami, you had to vote for Cuomo.
This is where preferential voting (“ranked choice”) would have been good. We could have voted for someone halfway decent, then for Sliwa, and put Cuomo second-last and Mandami last. In the end, after all other candidates were eliminated, it would still count as a vote for Cuomo, but without the voter having to feel dirty.
If Republicans had unified, the split between Cuomo (who is STILL a hero to Democrats like Milhouse) and the jihadi and all the other communist riffraff that the left runs would have made Sliwa mayor.
It was DEMOCRATS who said the choice was Cuomo and Mamdani –and idiots bought that.
And god help NYC if preferential voting is ever implemented. Staten Island will go blue and turn into the same sewage pit as the rest of the city.
And then there will be no hope at all.
Democrats like Milhouse will dance and sing as their plan to kill the greatest city on Earth comes to fruition.
You fucking liar. Why don’t you just go off and die already? As usual, every single word this demon writes is a ridiculous lie, and not worth responding to.
In the event Mamdani got a majority, so nothing could have stopped him. But had he fallen just short of a majority then preferential voting could have defeated him, but nothing else could have.
Cuomo was the only other viable candidate, as proven by the fact that he got 41%. Preferential voting would have reduced that, since people who despised him could have afforded to vote for someone else first and put him second last. That might have given another candidate some kind of chance of slipping past him and scooping up his preferences.
There is no way that preferential voting could possibly change anyone from a Republican to a Democrat or vice versa, so it could not possibly affect Staten Island’s total distribution of votes, or its representation. So long as a majority of voters prefer all Republicans to all Democrats it would continue to elect Republicans.
I don’t think we will be seeing Ms Rampell on MS NOW in the future. Her unwelcome facts violate core company principles.
Antisemitism is becoming a problem for Republicans. Not a big problem, but a problem. And that is something new, because for the past 40 or 50 years antisemitism was unknown in the GOP. It was a problem lurking on the fringe, not allowed into the tent.
Whereas in the Democrat Party it was always a presence, not just inside the tent but at the actual table, tolerated as a mere foible and not as a reason to reject someone. A person could be an open antisemite, and this would not be an obstacle to their advancement in the Democrats, whereas in the GOP he would have to keep it carefully hidden.
So the problem that is now emerging on the Republican side is only “big” in the sense that it now exists, like a small measles outbreak in a country that had previously eradicated it, which would not be at all remarkable in one where the disease is still endemic.
“Mere antizionism” is, in more than 99% of cases, antisemitism.
Antizionism / antisemitism seems to be effective as a political wedge. My guess it’s being used for divide and conquer and destabilizing purposes, because historically, nothing good comes of it.
“Mere antizionism” is, in more than 99% of cases, antisemitism.”
In a world where murdering babies is “women’s health care,” and mutilating children is “gender-supporting treatment?”
Heh. They’ll never let THAT diagnosis stand.
“Progressivism is 90% word magic. The other 10% is daddy issues.”
–PETER HÖNIG
I would say 90% daddy issues and the other 90% word magic.
“As left-leaning New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg appeared to discuss her recent article on the subject, she accused President Donald Trump of causing a surge in anti-Semitism in young Republicans:”
Which begs the question: who is perpetuating/enabling the rampant, virtually systemic antisemitism (and Islamophilia) in the Demsocialist party?
Let the glossing over/burying of her observation begin…
If a lefty or liberal doesn’t believe ‘antizionism’ = ‘antisemitism’ all they have to do to test the theory is merely say the word ‘no’ to any handy antizionist. But, if testing the theory, exercise situational awareness, leftwing antizionists tend to meltdown quickly.
If you are an open minded liberal, you may experience the painful mental staticky blindspots of cognitive dissonance, as I did, which makes it hard to process information. So, immediately after, jot down the conversation.
Then compare their arguments to Soviet Cold War ‘Zionism is Racism’ propaganda, the Fiddler on the Roof era Protocols of Zion hoax which also influenced the communist revolution in Russia, AH in midcentury Germany, the Hamas Charter, the Muslim Brotherhood, the 5 Percent Nation, David Duke and the triple K and look up “Kafka Trap.”
After a while, the cognitive dissonance will clear. But, if you’re in a liberal bubble where people actually watch msnbc, they still have it, so you might not have anyone to talk to.
Rampell, being the good little leftist automaton that she is, could not push back and say simply, “Stop lying about this. Antizionism IS antisemitism and you know it. Stop lying about it!”
There’s been another terrorist attack, this time in London, where three masked men set fire to four ambulances belonging to the Jewish community’s Hatzola emergency medical service as they were parked overnight. Thankfully no one was injured, but the ambulances were destroyed, and a message was delivered to the community.
The Iran-linked Ashab Al-Yamim terror group claimed responsibility.
The problem, besides the terror attack, is that there IS a set of ambulances that belong to a separate Jewish medical service.
Diversity DIVIDES.
There is a limit to how much cultural retention is good.
Shut up, you piece of filth. Any community has the absolute God-given right to establish its own services for its own needs, so it doesn’t have to depend on unreliable outside help, and it’s none of anyone else’s business to tell them they can’t.
Hatzola, of course, like any emergency service, responds to anyone who calls.
This episode reflects typical leftist what-aboutism. Antisemitism has become rampant and increasingly central to the left, so they target relatively marginal examples on the right, and then excuse their own antisemitism by claiming it is purely political whereas the antisemitism on the right is racist. In fact, both are racist, and that on the left is much more prevalent.
