Walz Urges Minnesotans to Protect Illegals, Film ICE ‘Atrocities,’ ‘Resist’ in Deranged Speech

“If you see these ICE agents in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit record. Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans, not just to establish a record for posterity, but to bank evidence for future prosecution.”

Amid an increased presence of immigration enforcement agents in Minnesota in the aftermath of the ICE-Renee Good incident, Gov. Tim Walz (D) gave a deranged speech Wednesday night in which he built on a narrative he’s crafted in recent days about how the state is “at war with the federal government.”

The speech started and ended with embarrassing technical glitches, making it a challenge to follow:

In it, Walz, who has previously called ICE “Trump’s modern-day Gestapo,” urged residents to protect illegal immigrants by “resisting” and taking their phones with them at all times to document the alleged “atrocities” he says ICE is committing in their communities as part of what he claims is the Trump administration’s “campaign of organized brutality”:

Let’s be very, very clear: this long ago stopped being a matter of immigration enforcement. Instead, it’s a campaign of organized brutality against the people of Minnesota by our own federal government.

[…]

But as bad as it’s been, Donald Trump intends for it to get worse. This week, he went online to promise that quote, the day of retribution and reckoning is coming.

That’s a direct threat against the people of this state who dared to vote against him three times and who continue to stand up for freedom with courage and empathy and profound grace.

[…]

Second, you are not powerless, you are not helpless, and you are certainly not alone. All across Minnesota, people are learning about opportunities not just to resist, but to help people who are in danger.

[…]

You have an absolute right to peacefully film ICE agents as they conduct these activities, so carry your phone with you at all times, and if you see these ICE agents in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit record.

Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans, not just to establish a record for posterity, but to bank evidence for future prosecution.

Watch:

Walz today:

It didn’t take long for people to point out that incendiary rhetoric like this is exactly why agents are being harassed and assaulted, something that allegedly happened on the night Walz gave his speech, when an agent reportedly was ambushed while trying to apprehend an illegal immigrant, resulting in one of the alleged attackers getting shot:

As Legal Insurrection reported, in response to the latest incident involving an ICE agent being attacked, as well as Walz’s speech, President Trump is threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act, something he noted in a Thursday morning post on Truth Social:

If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State. Thank you for you attention to this matter! President DJT

This is, of course, a developing story. We’ll keep you posted on the latest developments.

dear scotus…..

rule against the dems every chance you get

thank you

Timmy was almost an alcohol-induced coma away from the Presidency

Tim Walz is a petulant child with a governor title.

Can you imagine being Walz’s lawyer and trying to explain to him the thin line he has to skirt in order to avoid charges of criminal solicitation, conspiracy, or insurrection? And knowing that he’s a complete retard and has no idea what you’re saying? I almost feel bad for that attorney. The migraines he has must be epic.

At this point the lawyer is probably a state employee since Walz is doing this as the governor of the state. As long as the paychecks keep coming and the retirement credits continue to accumulate “it’s all good”. Remember, it’s the client who goes to jail, not the lawyer.

It’s hard to believe a sitting governor can be this stupid.
I can only conclude he is taking one for the team on behalf of a Democrat conspiracy to force Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act.

Well, this proves it. He lives in a far-left echo chamber.

This communist tool of a Democrat governor must really have a deep fraud problem with the Somali cartels. He is risking prison and taking the Democrat party with him. Hopefully. I don’t believe most of the street actors are locals or even Minnesotans.

Only the vile, stupid, evil, subversive and hypocritical Dhimmi-crats can brazenly incite and engage in violent insurrection against the federal government, while cloaking it in the mantle of allegedly noble and righteous “resistance” and “social justice.”

These pukes are sick and wicked.

I pray that it doesn’t happen, but, as with that mass murder of Texas police officers by a “Black Lives Matter” terrorist/fanatic, under the wretched reign of vile narcissist-incompetent-dunce, Obama, the Dhimmi-crats are gleefully fanning the flames of civil unrest, to incite their innumerable terrorist-fanatic supporters to murder multiple federal law enforcement officers.

Insurrection Act AND a forensic audit of tampon timmi’s personal financial dealings.

Waltz has zero political future. He is burning down the house to spite those around him.

They should be used to that in Minnezuela after the “summer of love.”

Martin in reply to Ruby Red. | January 15, 2026 at 2:37 pm

I hope you are correct. I think there is some chance that if he can stir up enough crap and keep dancing the fraud investigations will get lost in the shuffle and he will be seen as a hero of legend by Democrat morons everywhere. We need to keep pushing on the Democrat = fraudster and criminal enabler thought pattern. All of them not just little Timmy.

This guy has lost all moral authority to lead. Needs to resign immediately. These are Federal Law Enforcement Officers doing their jobs. A President was elected on the promise that this job would be done. He has to be so deeply compromised by the Somali fraud criminals….they own him. Way to go Minnesota. You actually elected this buffoon twice. It boggles the mind.

Walz is now a man with no future and is pulling innocent people into his self immolation. He has decided to become a martyr and the fate of Minnsotans is of no concern to him.

You can’t even teach Democrats not to elect communist Muslims, how much chance do you think you have of teaching them not to elect stupid?

Aren’t the fat bald retard’s 15 minutes of infamy up yet?

Dear leftists, ICE is on your streets conducting operations because your state refuses to honor ICE detainers. Illegal aliens who commit crimes need to be deported and your state government releases them into your community.

CommoChief in reply to Sanddog. | January 15, 2026 at 9:36 pm

Alternatively these illegal aliens ‘concerned about going to work, fearful of leaving their homes’ could accept the generous offer of the Trump Admin to self deport. Turn themselves in, collect $1,000 and free plane ride back where they came from all while preserving their ability to apply for lawful entry in the future.

If they won’t then we gotta either find them and ‘drag them out’ or cut alk Federal Funding to NGOs period full stop no exceptions and to State Gov’t, like MN, who’ve shown themselves to be riddled with fraud and lacking basic safeguards or willingness to correct their faults.

It certainly looks like he’s Stepping Over The Line between non-compliance and resistance. They should arrest his ass

Hang ’em High and let his fat ass swing in the wind as a warning to the other close to insurrectional governors.

So Tim Walz wants Americans to support breaking federal laws passed with bipartisan support in both Houses of Congress. Has anyone told that Farmer-Labor man that one of the chief concerns of all immigration law since the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 has been to protect American labor’s interests?

But, speaking as a former US Consular Officer who’s had to answer a few Congressional cables querying about so-and-so’s spouse or whatever, or the conditions for such-and-such a constituencies Old Country tribe, I don’t either Walz, Frey, or Trump himself knows much about US immigration law–although Trump probably knows more due to having had to petition for his wife.

MN is full of crazy people.

Why on earth is Walz still governor of Minnemalia? Inexcusable.

He might as well urge them outright to take up arms against the Federal government, because everyone knows that’s what he is encouraging. He is on his way out as Governor and is facing a major corruption investigation. An insurrection would provide considerable distraction, and would also certify him forever as a socialist martyr, right up there with Saint Floyd. Most Minnesotans will ignore him, but the fanatical fringe will riot as expected, which will attract radicals from far and wide, along with the usual fawning press coverage of his stalwart leadership during the resultant “mostly peaceful” chaos.

He reminds me of Governor Francis Wilkinson Pickens of South Carolina, December 14, 1860 – December 17, 1862.
He sanctioned the firing on the “Star of the West” a relief ship headed towards Fort Sumter and he also approved of the subsequent bombardment of Fort Sumter.
So, yes, Pickens started the Civil War, which may yet be called the First Civil War, if Walz gets his way.
