After listening to New York City Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani’s inauguration speech, I was struck by the ease in which he expressed his socialist ambitions. Without hesitation, he said: “We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism”.
As his followers cheered, I thought this is the result of years of K-12 indoctrination.
The term “collectivism” is one I know well from my tenure as a Providence school teacher. Back in 2021, teachers at my school, Esek Hopkins in Providence, Rhode Island, were given new DEI pedagogy to use in the classroom. We were told to embrace a concept called the “Whole Child” and to familiarize students with the term “collectivism”.
It wasn’t long before I noticed that “collectivism” had far reaching consequences that meant the abandonment of American values, history, and literature. It was pressed upon teachers and staff that all students “belonged” to the school. Policies usurping parental authority were created, classic literature was thrown out into dumpsters at the back of the school. Absent from my curriculum and classroom library were my books on the Holocaust like Anne Frank and classic American novels like James Baldwin’s Go Tell It On the Mountain, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and many more.
In place of the classics we were mandated to use curriculum platforms that included hundreds of cartoon paperbacks with zero literary merit, instead the books mocked America and reflected racial division, class division and religious division.
The American flag was disappearing from the classroom, while flags from other countries were flown.
The Pledge of Allegiance was given little importance. At that time it seemed to me that American culture was literally being erased and replaced with a new system of beliefs reflecting collectivism or as many of us felt at the time, neo-marxism. Everything we did while at school seemed to revolve around this new approach to educating children. Most worrisome was this “whole child’ approach, an approach that dismissed family values, religious values while offering a new collective for children to be a part of.Professional development separated white teachers from black teachers:
Holocaust units of study were intentionally removed and replaced with “culturally responsive” literature that omitted the holocaust all together while depicting white people as evil, and black people as victims of white oppression.Back then, it appeared to me that a sinister student brainwashing process was beginning. Absent from the curriculum were universal themes children could relate to. Instead children were growing radicalized as they began to see the world through one lens; that is as victims of America and American Judeo Christian values. A new radical version of American culture was being pushed on impressionable children.
So I went public in July 2021 at Legal Insurrection with what I found, Rhode Island Teacher Ramona Bessinger Sounds the Alarm on CRT in Providence Schools.
And that subject me to years of retaliation.
While it may be hard for people to grasp the harm being done in our K-12 schools, you only need to look to the end product of years of indoctrination: college campuses are filled with antisemitism, anti-American, anti-white sentiment learned prior in K-12 schools across the country. It’s gone unchecked, and continues to grow stronger. There is no “DEI dustbin” from which concepts like collectivism sit. DEI-collectivism is alive and well and currently in practice throughout the country.
My warning to every Jewish and Christian parent is to be very concerned for your children. Because they will either be victims of K-12 indoctrination or they will become weaponized and used to inflict harm on innocent Americans. In fact we are seeing many examples of this now as violence towards Christians and Jews is escalating.
This cult-like brainwashing process was framed around language like “collectivism” and DEB: diversity, equity and belonging. Children at my school were taught to reject norms in place of the collective family.
Some children were masked in new sexual identities, intentionally confused about their gender: while American values are deconstructed to fit a “new world order” called “collectivism”.I think it’s safe to say, in light of Zohran Mamdani’s recent remarks vowing to “swap rugged, individualism with the warmth of collectivism” and considering he was speaking to his young marxist following, it’s safe to say the K-12 brainwashing process is working. Our K-12 schools continue to be indoctrination centers, and if we continue to do nothing, America will be fully transformed into an unrecognizable dystopian society.
Back in 2021, once the void was created, students were exposed to marxist values without using the term marxism. Collectivism “”diversity “”belonging” provided a new belief system, one that turned many children against their faith, their country and one that separated them from their very own bodies.I caution parents to pay attention to everything taking place at school because our children’s identities are being changed, they continue to be indoctrinated, radicalized and weaponized against everything American. Jews are despised, Christianity is despised, being white is despised.
…violence towards Jews and Christians will continue to escalate.
In fact, Mamdani and his followers are not even trying to hide their disdain for Whites because they know nothing has stopped their collectivist agenda from infiltrating every aspect of American life.Left unchecked, the “warmth of collectivism” will cease to be a social media topic for news outlets act shocked about, but rather, it will be our new world reality as Western culture is dismantled and evil is embraced.
