Trump Adds Countries to List That Limits Nationals From Traveling to U.S.
“I have also determined to fully restrict and limit the entry of individuals using travel documents issued or endorsed by the Palestinian Authority (PA).”
President Donald Trump added countries to a list that restricts nationals from traveling to the U.S.
“The United States must exercise extreme vigilance during the visa-issuance and immigration processes to identify, prior to their admission or entry into the United States, foreign nationals who intend to harm Americans or our national interests,” Trump declared. “The United States Government must ensure that admitted aliens do not intend to threaten its citizens; undermine or destabilize its culture, government, institutions, or founding principles; or advocate for, aid, or support designated foreign terrorists or other threats to our national security.”
The move comes days after two terrorists killed 16 people celebrating Hanukkah in Sydney, Australia.
It’s an expansion of his June executive order, which listed 12 countries.
On Tuesday, Trump added:
- Burkina Faso
- Laos
- Mali
- Niger
- Sierra Leone
- South Sudan
- Syria
“I have also determined to fully restrict and limit the entry of individuals using travel documents issued or endorsed by the Palestinian Authority (PA),” Trump wrote.
America will continue to restrict people from:
- Afghanistan
- Burma
- Chad
- Republic of the Congo
- Equatorial Guinea
- Eritrea
- Haiti
- Iran
- Libya
- Somalia
- Sudan
- Yemen
These countries face partial restrictions:
- Angola
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Benin
- Cote d ‘Ivoire
- Dominica
- Gabon
- The Gambia
- Malawi
- Mauritania
- Nigeria
- Senegal
- Tanzania
- Tonga
- Zambia
- Zimbabwe
America will continue partial restrictions on:
- Burundi
- Cuba
- Togo
- Venezuela
Trump also chose to “modify the partial restriction and limitation on the entry of nationals of Turkmenistan.”
“It is the policy of the United States to protect its citizens from foreign nationals who intend to commit terrorist attacks, threaten our national security and public safety, incite hate crimes, or otherwise exploit the immigration laws for malevolent purposes,” wrote Trump.

I hope this includes student visas.
I was curious about one of the countries included under partial restrictions, and discovered the issue was “citizenship by investment” (CBI), a practice wherein persons arriving from another country can buy citizenship in the new country, without going through the usual process.
The Trump administration is concerned that makes our government’s vetting of citizens from those countries, wishing to immigrate to the U.S., problematic.
I’d head of CBI but that consequence hadn’t occurred to me.
Gee, sounds an awful lot like a bad idea that Trump just ADDED to our own immigration process.
Seeing how Trump is President restricting immigration to protect Americans is one his powers.
Should add China and Russia,
Should also add most of Western Europe Pakistan and India.
While they are at it restrict people from CA, Illinois, and Minnesota too.
Hell restrict everyone. I;m tired of the BS from them. Call it Xenofatique.
And Michigan over Dearborn.
You just named the next big mascara.
I can imagine the commercial:
Introducing Xenofatique™ Mascara
Because your lashes deserve to look wide awake… even when you’re not.
Meet Xenofatique™ Mascara—the only beauty product bold enough to admit it’s here to cover up your questionable life choices.
Our formula lengthens, volumizes, and defies gravity—because if your lashes can stay lifted, maybe your spirit will too.
Forget fatigue. Fake it with Xenofatique™.
Because nothing says I’ve got it together like lashes that refuse to collapse under the weight of reality.”
I should have gone into marketing instead of engineering.
I saw a list of countries included on a news program that included St Kitts and Nevis (the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton) and the place where I spent my honeymoon many regular moons ago. A quick search suggests this is the result of a rumor but it must be a strong one if it’s included on a news program. Certainly seems to be an unusual place to sanction if there’s any truth there.
Since the obvious nonsense/propaganda about COVID and the immediate need for every single person around the world to be immunized, I, for one, have stopped believing anything the (beautiful) talking TV heads say
“included St Kitts and Nevis (the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton)”
You don;’t have to keep selling me, I’m already in.
“the place where I spent my honeymoon many regular moons ago.”
The place where they aren’t outrightly hostile to you because they need your money, but they call you Charlie to each other behind your back (and even to your face for fun, if they think you don’t know what it means).
I didn’t care what they called me, I wasn’t really there to make new friends. We did get a few hard looks on the ferry over to Nevis. It wasn’t lost on me that we were the only white people on board. They are both lovely islands and my wife got to ride a horse on the beach, which was her dream.
Makes you wonder how Trump missed the Palestinian Authority in the very first pass.
Its not a country.
it’s not much of an authority either, It mainly exists to grift money from gullible westeners.
