Suspect in New York Cabbie Murder is Illegal Alien
The suspect “crossed the border in 2013 at Hidalgo, Texas, under President Obama, and later ignored a final removal order issued in 2016.”
The New York Post learned the suspect in the murder of a New York City cabbie is an illegal alien from Guatemala.

Santos Paulino Vasquez-Ramirez allegedly murdered Aurelio Zhunio-Orbez, 66, in Brewster, New York, located 109 miles south of Albany.
The illegal alien then allegedly stole Zhunio-Orbez’s black Toyota Sienna.
A fisherman found Zhunio-Orbez’s body in the Croton Falls Reservoir in Carmel, NY, located 4.7 miles southwest of Brewster.
Vasquez-Ramirez allegedly confessed “to fatally choking a cabbie over a pay dispute and dumping the victim’s body near a local reservoir.”
Zhunio-Orbez was a legal immigrant from Ecuador.

Santos Paulino Vasquez-Ramirez illegally crossed the border in 2013 at Hidalgo, Texas, under President Obama, and later ignored a final removal order issued in 2016 under the first Trump administration, according to sources and US Department of Homeland Security officials.
He “should’ve never been in our country in the first place and provided the opportunity to gruesomely take the life of Aurelio Zhunio-Orbez,” Assistant Secretary of DHS Tricia McLaughlin told The Post.
“Open border policies have deadly consequences. ICE lodged a detainer with local authorities to ensure this criminal illegal alien is never allowed back into American neighborhoods. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, ICE is targeting the worst of the worst,” she added.
Zhunio-Orbez drove Vasquez-Ramirez before. He seemed to be a regular at the MetroNorth Station.
Apparently, the suspect had a problem over a recent fare, which likely only cost $40.

Now can we re-enact mandatory sentencing and allow lawsuits of judges,prosecutors, and police who let these people go?
Also, the guy confessed. I’m assuming they have at least one other piece of evidence. Drag him into court by Friday, convict him and sentence him (NYS won’t allow the death penalty) and lock him away. THEN call ICE and send him to CECOT.

Entered the country illegally in 2013. Had a final order of removal issued in 2016 and nine (9) years later in 2025 he is still in the country. Would someone please tell me why the federal government is so incompetent when it comes to removing illegal aliens? I mean really, this guy has been in the country illegally for 12 years and yet was never removed from the country. A “final order of removal” was issued and then . . . nothing. He remained in the country. It’s not as if we aren’t giving immigration officials billions of dollars every year to do their job. So why the failure after failure when it comes to removing these people. Why. it’s just so disgusting and frustrating to read about a rape here, a murder there, a shooting by illegals that should have been removed from this country years ago but for some reason are still here. Why does this stuff happen again and again, That is all I want to know.
So, let’s recap: The guy illegally enters the US, is ultimately given a final order of removal which he apparently ignores, and is still here 12 years later and is accused of killing someone legally here. So ICE issues a detainer which is not legally binding on anyone. Problem solved?
We need some rational people in ICE. Why not arrest the guy and put him in custody? Or at least get a warrant for him and serve it on whoever has him in custody now? He has proven he can’t be trusted to obey court orders.
