Trump Orders Review of All Green Cards From Countries of Concern

“American safety is non negotiable.”

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Joseph B. Edlow announced that President Donald Trump ordered him to begin “a full scale, rigorous reexamination” of all green cards from countries of concern.

Trump already said his administration would examine everyone who came to the U.S. from Afghanistan under former President Joe Biden.

These moves stem from the shootings of two National Guardsmen. The suspect is an Afghan national, Rahmanullah Lakanwal.

Lakanwal came to the U.S. under “Operation Allies Welcome” during the Biden administration, following the disastrous withdrawal.

“The protection of this country and of the American people remains paramount, and the American people will not bear the cost of the prior administration’s reckless resettlement policies,” added Edlow. “American safety is non negotiable.”

Edlow did not list the countries of concern.

I found a list from 2023. I imagine these countries will be on the list (notice which country is not on this list?):

  • Burma
  • People’s Republic of China
  • Cuba
  • Eritrea
  • Iran
  • The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea
  • Nicaragua
  • Pakistan
  • Russia
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Tajikistan
  • Turkmenistan
  • The special watch list includes Algeria, Azerbaijan, the Central African Republic, Comoros, and Vietnam.

    Expand the list to

    If [country] != United States of America then {
    intensive review of green card holders;
    }

    Since we shouldn’t have any Green Card holders whose country of origin is the US, basically every green card.

    Also, prosecute immigration fraud and denaturalize people who should never have been let in.

    “American safety is non negotiable.”
    And yet your administration’s second amendment policies still suck donkey balls.

      Though less so than any previous administration.

        Add the caveat of the last 100 years or so and yes absolutely. I’d argue that practically any President whose administration’s oversaw issuing Letters of Marque and Reprisal had a better understanding of and commitment to 2A.

      Heny, GFY. You’re trolling and sock puppetting with that comment.

        Sock puppeting?! How so? Do you suspect that Henry didn’t make that comment?! Someone stole his password?! Or what? Or do you think “Henry” is a long-standing sock puppet for some other poster?!

    How about we include everyone granted any permissive status to be lawfully present in the USA this century regardless of Nation of origin to include naturalization? If an applicant was untruthful by commission or omission in anything that should be grounds to revoke the prior permissive grant. Let them reapply from the back of the line but they gotta be removed.

    Somalia?

    I’m surprised Saudi Arabia is on the list.

      Maybe the Saudis asked for their dissidents back to Kashoggi them.

        Good for them if so. Kashoggi was a Moslem Brotherhood operative, and got what he deserved. I have never understood why the mere fact that he wrote the occasional column for the WaPo should have made his death any of our business, or anything we should be concerned about.

    All green card holders, work permits, asylum seekers, special status and any other foreigners should be vetted again. All visa holders should be checked too. So many overstaying their visas. This is a good way to secure the US and send home those who should be deported.

      Lets add a review of naturalization granted since ’00 to ensure nothing potentially disqualifying was overlooked, ignored or otherwise ‘let slide’ which would void the grant.
