New York City Jumps the Shark Week at Legal Insurrection

New York City Jumps the Shark Week at Legal Insurrection

All the news you may have missed.

Pretty much all of the elections this week were a major disappointment, but what’s happening in New York City is a special kind of crazy.

How did we get here?

This is not a good sign.

I was told this is a threat to democracy.

Israel updates.

Is everyone sick of the shutdown yet?

The only reasonable Democrat.

Trump is doing what he can.

He’s right.

This is all getting a little weird.

Great news.

Bill makes some solid points here.

R.I.P.

If she runs, this will all be revisited.

This was great.

Hmmm.

Does she ever stop complaining?

Oh my.

It’s about time.

Check it out!

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

– H. L. Mencken

NYC is currently transitioning from the FA to the FO stage of things.

I can hardly think of anything more tragic than having a person of this ilk in charge of the city that suffered on 9/11/01.

I’d say “I hope he fails” but because of his belief system and political leanings, that’s baked into the cake.

Now the rest of us outside of NYC will begin adjusting to actively disengaging from that which is now enemy territory. No more long weekends enjoying a Broadway show and restaurants. No more flight connections at JFK or LaGuardia. No more Yankees/Mets/Knicks, etc.

If this is what the city voted for then they fully deserve the ruin that awaits.

And don’t even think about a bailout.

America should shun NYC, and force them to have a visa to leave the five bouroughs.

We are about to see a tragedy, but should remember that it is merely a replay of tragedies we’ve already seen. NYC is indeed in trouble and is likely toast. That will lead to pain, death and suffering. On the other hand, it’s not the end of the world. People and businesses will move. The economy will not die and life will go on. We’ve seen it happen in places like St. Louis and Detroit. What was good enough for the industrial Midwest is certainly good enough for NYC.
