Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets Amid Renewed Terrorist Buildup in South Lebanon
“The IDF has begun a series of strikes on Hezbollah military targets in southern Lebanon.”
Israeli fighter jets struck Hezbollah terror targets in southern Lebanon amid attempts by the Iran-backed terrorist group to rebuild its presence along Israel’s border. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), on Thursday, carried out at least two waves of airstrikes, local media reports indicate.
“The IDF has begun a series of strikes on Hezbollah military targets in southern Lebanon,” the military confirmed in a brief statement on Thursday afternoon.

Thursday’s IDF strikes began with the targeting of a Hezbollah terrorist unit involved in rebuilding terror infrastructure along the Israeli border. “A short while ago, the IDF struck terrorists who were operating at a terrorist infrastructure site belonging to Hezbollah’s Construction Unit in the Tyre area in southern Lebanon,” the military disclosed in a statement. “This infrastructure site was used to manufacture equipment employed by Hezbollah terrorists to rebuild terrorist infrastructure that had been previously targeted and dismantled during the war.”
Hezbollah is intensifying its terrorist buildup on the Israeli border as the deadline for disarming the terrorist group is fast approaching. Under the ceasefire agreement brokered by the Trump administration in November 2024, the Lebanese government is supposed to disarm Hezbollah by the end of this year.
The Lebanese government is demonstrably incapable of disarming Hezbollah. Last week, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Thomas Barrack observed that Lebanon was a “failed state” and run by a “paralyzed government.” This leaves Israel as the only regional power willing and capable of confronting the Shia-Islamic terrorist group.

The IDF issued an evacuation warning ahead of the airstrikes, Arutz Sheva/Israel National News reported:
The IDF announced on Thursday that it has begun a series of strikes on Hezbollah military targets in southern Lebanon.
A short time earlier, IDF Arabic-Language Spokesman Avichay Adraee issued an urgent warning to residents of southern Lebanon, stating that the IDF will soon strike military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah “to deal with the prohibited attempts carried out to rebuild its activities in the region.”
The spokesman singled out buildings in Al-Tayyiba and Tayr Debba, calling them to evacuate and adding: “You are located near buildings used by Hezbollah, and for your safety, you are required to evacuate them immediately and stay away from them by a distance of at least 500 meters. Remaining in the area of the marked buildings exposes you to danger.”
Shortly after the first wave of strikes, Adraee issued another warning ahead of a second wave of strikes. The second warning called on those in Zoutar al-Sharqiya to evacuate.
Earlier Thursday, the IDF struck terrorists who were operating at a terrorist infrastructure site belonging to Hezbollah’s Construction Unit in the Tyre area in southern Lebanon.
The infrastructure site was used to manufacture equipment employed by Hezbollah terrorists to rebuild the terrorist infrastructure that had been previously targeted and dismantled during the war. The IDF stressed that “these actions of Hezbollah terrorists at the infrastructure site constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”
Senior IDF officers told reporters, “We are continuing the same approach in Lebanon of aggressive enforcement. There has been no change in the policy of the past year. This is a continuation of the ongoing effort to prevent Hezbollah’s reconstruction, not an escalation of the situation.”

In recent days, Israel conducted a series of strikes in southern Lebanon, eliminating several Hezbollah terrorists, including a commander of the Iranian-trained Radwan Forces. The IDF is ramping up operations to deter Hezbollah from retaking the strategic borderland.
“Israel steps up strikes on Hezbollah,” Israel’s Ynetnews noted Thursday. The strikes came after the Iran-backed terrorist group declared its “legitimate right to resist,” justifying its terrorist activities against Israel, the news outlet added.
Last October, Israel launched an eight-week-long ground offensive to destroy terror tunnels, bunkers, and missile launchers set up by the Iran-backed terrorist group in southern Lebanon. Almost one year after the Israeli operation, Hezbollah is trying to restore its terrorist buildup.

There is a line in Lebanon the arab terrorists are not supposed to cross. It was supposed to be UN enforced. Instead the UN aided and abetted the terrorists. Then the ineffective muslim infested Lebanese government was supposed to enforce the quiet border. Failure. Anyone surprised by any of this? I’m not.
If it was me I’d mine the whole border on the Lebanese side 15 miles deep it and put up a warning fence because I;m kind. I know the west hates mines. F that. The western bleeding hearts can go F themselves. Better yet they can live in that area and be subject to the terrorists attacks.
Hamas and Hezbollah don’t seem to be coming to terms with the current reality that every reasonable person is tired of their belligerent nonsense and are at best ambivalent if the IDF kills every last one of them. Some of us encourage that and look forward to the day it is done. Heck I’ll supply some salt if they wanna salt the earth when complete.
Why should they? They just conquered NYC,
Nice hyperbole but no, not even close. What I suspect to see is more lunacy with misguided goons who think Mamdani’s win gives them license to do …well lots of different interest groups so lots of different oddball things. Folks will probably try to get a head start on his campaign ideas about no fares for city transit, reduced rents and reduced grocery prices by either not paying.
The wanna be sharia morality squad will almost certainly show up but I don’t see that being accepted by NYC’s female professional class. Its one thing for know nothings to proclaim support for ‘Gaza’ or ‘intifada’ in the abstract but quite another when the sharia morality squad tells a bunch of lefty females their ‘skirt is too short’ or that they need a male escort out in public. Gonna be quite the show as the rubber meets the road in NYC.
Thanks but it was just too easy.
I think it will be total chaos. This guy is a know nothing who has done nothing prior. The question really is – is someone pulling his strings and if so who? If I lived in NYC I would hope that some was pulling his strings and telling him what to do.
If I was in NYC I’d be on the first plane out. I view those that stay as analogous to some hiker who despite the arrival of dangerous weather conditions is determined to venture out to some remote destination. IOW they are choosing to place themselves into and/or remain in dangerous conditions despite ample warning signs. Any rescue is gonna have to wait for the inclement conditions to subside, assuming the rest of us wish to mount a rescue. Personally, I tend to view it as nature taking its course in a Darwinian or maybe more accurately Hobbesian winnowing/culling of the herd. Adults gotta be responsible for the consequences of the choices they make for themselves and their family, often those consequences are very unpleasant and/or harmful.
Leaving NYC or CA may sound like a good idea for individuals and might hurt the political elite, but the net result is the communists and muslims take over and with no political opposition their control of the state and the city becomes permanent. A communist/muslim California would result in the collapse of the USA as a world power and vulnerable to foreign invasion. Think of all the open sea ports and open land border with Mexico. Think open borders were bad undervBiden, think about under Newsom! Maybe we need to reverse the political environment and organize mass conservative movements into those locations changing from blue to red. And just a thought on colors, why have the conservative or political right, adopted the communist color “red”. Maybe our color should be: red, white and blue?
this will be the next flood of inmates…I mean immigrants coming to Europe >>America
wouldnt be bad if they wanted to be western minded but that isnt happening
I don’t know why anyone expected the dysfunctional Lebanese government to be able to disarm Hezbollah? Israel needs to go back into Lebanon and push Hezbollah north of the Litani, and occupy the area south of Lirani, preferably with the people there forced north. As,Cicero once remarked, Rome creates a desert and calls it peace.
I think it’s reasonable to assume that no one in the Israeli government expected the Lebanese Army to disarm Hezbollah. But the agreed-upon “ceasefire” permitted Israel to catch its breath and make DJT happy, which is important. However, the future now depends on Israel’s capacity to push Hezbollah to the extremes of destruction. There should be a tipping point in Lebanon where the Christians and the non-Hezbollah supporting Druze and Muslims (and there are some, maybe many), do in fact decide to take the fight to Hezbollah themselves. If it happens, it will be bloody, as Hezbollah will have no place to retreat. There would be a vice grip on them.
Under the DJT agreement, Turkie, Quatar and other Muslim countries will station their military forces in Gaza and those countries have been supportive of hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood they will most likely rearm Hamas and Israel will not be able to respond under risk of bombing international forces protecting hamas. The “ agreement “ puts enemy troops on Israeli soil. The deal maker may have out dealt himself or is he part of a greater anti Israel conspiracy? Maybe rescuing a few hostages in the long run will cost thousands of Israeli lives down the road. Prior hostage or corpse deals lead up to October 7, a repeat result of negotiations with terrorists! One can’t negotiate with terrorists. Paying ransoms doesn’t work. It guarantees a repeat action. Nothing really changed. Hamas is still shooting Israeli soldiers and any possible opposition to their rule in Gaza. And the poor surviving hostages have been so mentally traumatized, can they return to normal lives? Hamas needs to be destroyed down to the last supporter, where ever they may be.
What? Terrorists that won’t give up on the idea of exterminating Jews and destroying Israel? But there is a peace deal and everything
The jihadis will never stop. That is why the Israelis should kill every last one of them including the women and children. They children are the killers of the next generation and the women are birthing them. They will never stop.
