Elections 2025: Is There Any Silver Lining?

Elections 2025: Is There Any Silver Lining?

After the disappointing, yet not unexpected, election news last night, I wondered if there might have been any silver lining at all in the frustrating results. The Greek tragedian Aeschylus famously wrote in Agamemnon that people learn through suffering:

Zeus, who sets mortals on the path to understanding, … has established as a fixed law that “wisdom comes by suffering.” But even as trouble, bringing memory of pain, drips over the mind in sleep, so wisdom comes to men, whether they want it or not.

Many of the voters who supported the anti-Israel, anti-American, and anti-Western socialist Zohran Mamdani were ignorant young people, who were indoctrinated to despise their country and Western civilization and espouse the false allure of seemingly free loading and globalist utopias.

Any parent knows that no matter how much one tries to advise and protect one’s children, it is life that eventually teaches them to avoid serious errors, although, unfortunately, a stubborn few may never learn. Similarly, when millions of hardworking and affluent people leave New York for welcoming red states, numerous Mamdani voters will likely realize that there is no such thing as a free lunch, let alone free bus rides. Even the communists did not make public transport free. Mamdani’s unbridled Marxist enthusiasm has surpassed their efforts in this regard.

If rent amounts are fixed well below market value, who will pay for the increasing maintenance costs of expensive New York City real estate? How will the economy function when major investors take their money elsewhere? It is well known that “a tide raises all boats,” and that a prosperous economy helps both the rich and the poor. When prohibitive taxation forces the wealthy into a mass exodus, who will remain to help the indigent raise themselves out of poverty through the benefits of capitalism?  According to a popular communist-era joke, if socialists took control of a desert, they would start importing sand and exporting water.

One only needs to revisit the images of empty stores and endless queues in socialist countries to get a preview of the consequences of Mamdani’s agenda. An anonymous Soviet photo of 1991 says it all. The inscription on the wall reads “Happy New Year!”

Over the past several years, millions of Americans have fled pro-socialist and crime-ridden blue states with punishing taxation laws like New York, California, or Illinois, and relocated to safe and investment-friendly places like Florida, Texas, or Tennessee. The Babylon Bee satirical outfit has produced a brilliantly bitter-sweet mini-series titled “Californians move to Texas.”

Remember the popular song’s lyrics: “Even old New York was once New Amsterdam”? It seems that Florida would now become the new New York, and Texas the new California. I mean, of course, the new versions of the good old values that New York and California used to represent.

If there is any silver lining in this phenomenon, it is that it would bring prosperity and new congressional seats to pro-business states whose residents and governments cherish traditional America and value economic freedom. And many may become wiser through their painful personal experience of a socialist nightmare. I certainly do not wish socialism on anyone, but sometimes the only way to learn that fire burns is to touch the stove. Let us hope this lesson is learned sooner rather than later and at a minimal expense to our country.

Don’t New York my Texas!! (Or Florida)

Sort of on-topic: The GOP appears to be caving on the shutdown.

Suffering forces some to change but for others, stupid is a destination. No matter how painful.

Regrettably the socialist states are going to spend decades reaching rock bottom. Where we think rock bottom is at is no where near the first potty stop on the drive to rock bottom. It’s deep and paved with hundreds of thousands of deaths.

Detroit and other deep blue sh*tholes proved there is no such thing as “hitting bottom”. These places may one day cease to exist, but their leaders and voters will kill everyone before admitting they were wrong.

Never underestimate the terrifying amount of death, pain and misery blue voters will inflict on others so they can virtue-signal at the ballot box.

No, They’ll just claim the governor and state legislature tied their hands.

“Elections 2025: Is There Any Silver Lining?”

Yes. 2026 will be remembered as the year that NYC AWFLs discovered that Handmaid’s Tale outfits are not red. They’re black.

And the local store is out of their size, which is too bad because if they go outside without one, they’ll be arrested (if they’re lucky).

Looking at the above image of this smarmy communist, I feel compelled again to express my utter contempt for the people of NY. I wouldn’t buy tabouli from this fraud and NY entrusts him with the power and responsibility of the mayorship. Contemptible is too kind a word for them.

Yes, the hidden part is now in the open and on the table for all to see.

Love the pic of the oligarch hater posing with Alex Soros. How long will it take for people in NYC to discover that communism also has oligarchs that are much more stingy in character, which is why they need authoritarians to maintain hold.

Silver lining? Yes: Andrew Cuomo’s political burial is a bit deeper than it was on Nov 3rd.

Here are some important thoughts

1. “Its the economy stupid”

As true today as it was 30 years ago. While the tariffs didn’t cause the economic collapse feared they are responsible for price rises of groceries across the country. Prices have gone up since Trump entered office. He could like Biden just not count food and insist there is no price rise.

The people know better. Like it or not the issues we care about are very marginal to most voters. If Republicans are the party of continuing the Biden Economy forever we will lose.

2. Nut cases cost us dearly

The Charlie Kirk murder very briefly was a unifying moment outside of small select circles on Blue Sky who even for Democrats are not an accurate representation.

Guess what became of that?

Right wing voices like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens declared Charlie Kirk had secretly turned on Israel and of course THE JOOOOOOOSSSSSSS!!!!

More respectable right wing voices stood by them disgracing themselves in the process.

Then some decided they would take it a step further and back unity with the Eugenicists, White Supremacists and other genuine excrement as long as it calls itself right wing.

The public saw a major section of the right cynically using the Charlie Kirk assassination to promote bigotry and division.

Someone who had as their source of “What is the right winger” Megan Kelly would have been right to punish the Republican Party for genuinely atrocious behavior.

3. Not just blue states and cities

Republicans lost plenty of local races

Sorry but the main issue in these elections is always the economy where the public is right to be disappointed in the bring back the booming 2016-2020 economy ending up being the same Biden economy, and is also right to be outraged by bad behavior not just by the Candace Owens and the Tucker Carlsons of the world but by their enablers.

To put it this way

“We offer the Biden economy and normalization of Nazism”

American voter responds

“Middle finger”

The economy is the biggest issue we have to solve.

While we are trying to fix our issues with voters we should solve the issue of groypers being mainstreamed to.

The public doesn’t like Nazis and does not care that they now call themselves Groypers, and figures like Matt Walsh and Megan Kelly actively defending figures like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, or figures like Brett Cooper defending Nick Fuentes.

American public has a right to standards.

dont cry for me argentina

Maybe it’s time for someone to make a “reverse Beverly Hillbillies” series.
Jed’s descendants migrate from California back to Arkansas, or Missouri, or wherever it is they came from (opinions differ). Hilarity ensues.

The terrible reality is staring us right in the face. A dissolution of the United States as we prepare for our 250th birthday. In the 50 years since the bi-centennial we have lost our country. We have surrendered our freedom through the Patriot Act. We have lost our system of governance to a system of grifters growing wealthy on insider information. At this pace the coastal parts of the country will be forever separated from the center. It will be dramatic and potentially kinetic, but it will happen. Stalin et all worked for a long time to see it. See it they will.

I always say it’s a good thing to look for the bright side or opportunities…

But in this case? The newly elected Mayor is young and represents the next generation of Democrats. And not only that, but because we all see that being openly communist or pro-Sharia is no bar to being voted into office, it’s only going to increase their ranks. Why do you think Pelosi chose to retire now? She sees the future is here and knows she’ll have no chance in next year’s primary,

Two things, one, our public education is responsible for his election and two, don’t think for one minute Muslims will abandon NYC. They will turn it into Mecca of the US and it will become a new stihhole. They will not care if all the Americans leave because oil rich Muslims will pour money into the city to keep it Muslim. Name one city that they have pulled out of. There aren’t any and we have just given Islam our largest city!

As much as I despise trickle-down economics as a theory, on a city level it is a huge mistake to think raising taxes on the wealthy will suddenly generate a bunch of new revenue. I don’t think it will drive out people and businesses – at least not right away – and most will just suck it up and grudgingly pay more to stay in NY.

I do think it’s funny that socialist minded youth seem to consistently pick as their leaders trust fund babies who continually fail upward. It’s like they hate the rich, but will find any reason to ignore or excuse people on their side who were born rich, even when their family earned it through exploitation of the very people the left claims to care about.

Every economic entity, from the family, all the way up to a country, has a balance of payments. If that balance is unfavorable, the entity declines. If it is favorable the entity improves.

The human condition, being no different than anything else in nature, exists in a distribution with successful humans to the right of it and not so successful humans on the left of it.

Communism is simply an attempt to shift the median of that distribution leftward. The problem with it is that the shift is enabled entirely by moving assets from right to left. It can’t (and won’t) increase the area under the curve and even the most enlightened shift will still result in a distribution. I.e. there will still be ‘winners’ and ‘losers’.

Indeed, taking from the makers can ONLY result in a reduction of the area under the curve. It’s a sugar high doomed to crash!
